She winced and grumbled as he ripped the strips of tape of her lips.”Damn that hurt.” She muttered, it never seemed too bad in the movies she thought to herself wishing she was in the middle of one right then. Gabby found herself staring at the man, he was one scary guy and it seemed he knew that as well as she did. He was completely emotionless and it send shivers down her spine, lack of emotion wasn’t good and certainly not for her given as she looked around there was no hope anyone was going to hear her if she did scream the place down.
“So... why am I here?” She asked partially dreading the answer that might come from that question. It would either let her know her impending life expectancy or what her fate might be. Either way she just hoped that someone had noticed she was missing or that Jason was somewhere trying to find her as she really didn’t want to be left out in the cold.
Herrmann regretted what he had done, he only hoped that Gabby was okay. He was supposed to be the one who was training her not being the reason why someone kidnapped her. He stood and watched as Jason and Ice tried to track her but when he came back and called in what he knew Herrmann felt unsettled. “So what can we do? Anything to help?” He asked almost wishing the cop would say trade places with Gabby and he might have done so willingly if it was possible.

The man watched Gabby as she asked him that. "I wanted you for myself" he said to her, a chiling tone to his voice as he said that. He crumpled up the tape in his hand and tossed it aside, though he had more to keep the pretty firefighter quiet if he had to. "That man at the fire house had no right in treating you that way....he should be glad he didn't cross paths with me." he said in the same chilling tone. It was obveous that he would have hurt Chris if he had interviened. After he said that, he placed his hand on Gabby's thigh.
Jason looked at Chris when he asked that, seeing the regreat on his face. "All I need you to do is your jobs." he said to him in reply as Ice looked up to them. "I will keep you all in the loop when anything new comes up." he added in the same honest tone. Jason knew that Chris wanted to help but the best thing that he could do is get back to his job at the firehouse. In the back of his mind, he hoped that they would find Gabby in time.

The tone he used was enough to send a shiver down her spine, had anyone else said it to her she might have laughed but this guy. She got a sense that he meant it in a way that most people didn’t. She smiled as if she appreciated what he had said, well it had been a while since any man had said they wanted her for their self although this wasn’t exactly the situation she wanted those words to be said in. Gabby couldn’t deny she was still mad at what Herrmann had said although right at that moment she would have taken a years worth of drill’s from him than to be there.
Yes this was hardly the time to think badly of Herrmann, she could only hope that the man had noticed she was gone and called Jason in. That would have been the dream situation however she wondered how long it would take for them to notice her absence and not think she was simply sulking outside. Gabby tried to pull away from the guy as he placed his hand on her thigh, this wasn’t a good situation she thought trying not to let her fear show. “Thank you, its nice someone agrees with me for once but he was only doing his job.” She said hoping that was enough to satisfy the man.
Do our jobs Herrmann thought, how were they supposed to do that when one of their friends was missing. Was he really going to have to sit around the fire house and wait for word, in between times take a few calls here and there and turn around to be reminded the firefighter who was supposed to be on his hip at all times wasn’t there. “Okay, but as soon as you hear call us.” He said taking a few steps toward the fire house half wanting to go with Jason but he knew he wouldnt do any good.

The man watched Gabby as she said that to him, his hand still on her thigh at the same time. "Was he?, he seemed to enjoy treating you like his slave." he said to her in reply before moving his hand. He kept his eyes on Gabby as he did that, looking into her's so as to see her reaction to what he was telling her. There was no emotion in his eyes as he looked at Gabby, he was more of a robot then human. The man ran his hand down Gabby's leg, stopping here the tape had been wrapped around her ankles. "Why did a beautiful woman choose such a dangerous occupation?" he asked as he kept his hand on Gabby's tapped ankles.
Jason nodded when Herrmann said that to him. "I will" he replied before turning to head out. Ice followed him back to the patrol car, getting in the back once they arrived. It wasn't lost on Jason that Herrmann was kicking himself for what had happened. After getting in, Jason went to meet up with the friend of his that he had sent the photos to. He was hoping that his friend could give him something to find this guy and get Gabby back.

She was relieved when he moved his hand though maybe he had a point about Herrmann. Then again the man had always pushed her and she had asked for that so really now was the wrong point to start complaining about it all. “Maybe but then it’s the only way you get better at your job.” She said hoping that on some level he could understand that. It was scary to look at a person and see no emotion, only dead eyes. Even the creepy criminals Antonio dealt with had emotions which scared her even more, she had seen no one like this guy.
She couldn’t help but shiver as the guy ran a hand down her leg stopping at the tape that was wrapped around her ankles. Is he going to let me go? She thought for a moment before she realised just how ridiculous that thought was, no he wasn’t about to let her go after catching her was he, No. Gabby tried to smile at the question, “I always wanted to be on Truck and do exactly as the rest of the guys did. To save someone from a fire, to be a firefighter it a fun and demanding job.” She said trying to take a deep breath to stop herself from screaming why at the man.
“What about you, what job do you do?” She asked trying to act as if she was interested and in a strange was she actually was. The more information she had on him the more she could think of what to do, if the guy was talking to her then he wasn’t doing anything else.

"What I do is not your busness" the man replied before removing his hand from Gabby's taped up ankles. He then stood and dragged a chair over to where she was and sat down. "How noble, wanting to save people.....why waist your time with that?, you can't save everyone." he commented while sitting there and watching her. "A beautitul woman like you shouldn't be in this line of work." he added while holding a role of tape in his hand and gauze in the other. It was clear he would use them on Gabby.
Back at the CPD lab, Jason met up with two detectives and his friend from the crime lab about the photos he had sent. He was a bit crushed to find out that the tires were to common to trace, but was equally surised to find out that there was a red light camera in the area and that it caught the plate of a windowless van that had went through. Jason looked at his friend and the detectives, all three said for the younger man to pull the images and run the plate. The younger man didn't need to be told twice and got to work.

She was relieved when he took his hand away from her ankles thought she bit her lip when he said what he did was none of her business. She had to physically shake herself not to argue that one out, he knew more about her than she probably did herself and now he was saying she had no right to know his business. Then when he said she couldn’t save everyone, whatever will power she had not to answer back went straight out of the window, honestly she was about to become the worlds worst kidnapping victim and this guy wasn’t about to shut her up.
Despite the fact she saw the gauze and tape in his hand she went for it, “Who are you to tell me I shouldn’t be in this line of work, it’s what I do and sure I cant save everyone but I can help those few.” She snapped at him, “And why cant I know your business, you know all about mine and honestly if you think for one minute that I will be your whatever you are looking for then you are sooo wrong. I want to know all about you and it’s not up to you to tell me what I can do for a job!”
Well if he didn’t shut her up then she would just keep asking and despite the fact she had an idea the man didn’t have a heart or didn’t seem human she just couldn’t help herself. It was as if the fear had left her and the anger had completely replaced it.

The man watched Gabby as she mouthed off to him, then stuffed the gauze into her mouth and taped it shut. "Cute and feisty.....yet foolish." he said after doing that. He paced the roll he had back on the small table next to Gabby, then looked at her again. "All you need to know about me is that your brother and I crossed paths a year ago after my sister was killed. He and his fellow detectives didn't even bother to investigate, saying that she committed suicide." he said to her. "Now, he will know what its like to lose someone close to him." he added, fire in his eyes at the same time.
Back at the station, Jason waited for the results on the plate from the van. He hoped that it lead to something and that they could find Gabby. What Jason didn't know was that the man had kidnapped Gabby as an act of revenge on her brother. All he knew is that he had to get Gabby back unharmed.

So mouthing off had only gotten her mouth taped shut. She could think of a few people who would have liked to have seen or even done that at the fire house. All she could do was glare at the guy as he said she was cute and feisty, oh he had no idea how feisty she was though she had a feeling that he would soon find out. When he said that he had crossed paths with Antonio she knew who to blame straight off, her brother had caused this though she doubted that the guys sister wouldnt have been investigated. That didn’t sound like Antonio at all which only left her one thing, the guy really was crazy.
She wasn’t sure why but for that brief moment she felt sorry for him, she knew what it was like to lose a best friend and almost lose a sibling. It wasn’t easy though kidnapping her, well that was a mistake. She could see the fire in the mans eyes and sure she understood his anger but this wasn’t her fault as she tried to yell through the gauze and tape. All that happened though were her words of idiot and let me go along with a long rant of other less than kind words came out as a muffled noise.
She tried to wriggle and stamp her taped feet as best she could keeping her glare firmly focused on the man. Well if she couldn’t speak she would make noise any way she could and be a real pain and the backside. That anyone could tell the guy she was good at doing.

The man ignored her as he set up the next part of his plain, which involved a large red gas can, the kind used to hold gasoline for lawn mowers. "Make all the sound you want, no one is going to hear you." he hissed at Gabby when he heard her stomp her feet on the floor. After saying that, he started the next phase by splashing gasoline around the room. The fumes from the fuel slowly filled the room as he made a wall with the fuel in front of the door and windows. It was clear that the man didn't care about Gabby's life.
Across town, the CPD tech got a match on the plate, passing it along to Jason along with an address an photo. Jason recognized the man in the photo as the one he saw at the car fire. Checking his background, he came across the case about his sister. It didn't take Jason long to realize why he had kidnapped Gabby. Without saying a word, Jason and Ice double timed it out of the building and to Jason's squad car.

The large red gas can, honestly could her day get any worse she wondered as had there been a lawn mower then she might not have been as panicked but since she was in a place she didn’t know with a crazy man. Yeah, panic was about the only thing she was doing as she stamped her feet on the floor still. She added a little more volume to her torrent of in coherent words that fell from her mouth given that they lost their edge through the tape but she guessed the guy would know exactly what she was saying.
That was when she saw him put the fuel in front of the door and windows, he really knew how to cause a fire problem she thought but then he had stalked her at a few. She could smell the fumes that were now starting to give her a slight headache. He had kidnapped her, taped her mouth shut and now he was giving her a headache. She really knew how to adopt the crazy ones she thought silently as she tried to roll from the mattress to at least make an effort at an escape though it was more slow and obvious than anything but she had to try something.

The man soon finished, then rigged the door to set the room on fire when it was opened up. He looked back to Gabby after doing that. "Who ever comes to save you is going to be the architect of your demise." he said to her in the same chilling tone as before. He didn't know that Jason was heading his way. "Better make yourself comfortable, not that it would really matter." Gabby's stalker/kidnapper gloated to her as he prepared to make his escape. "How much I waited for this day to come. Make sure you say hello to the devil for me." he added while putting the finishing his door trap.
Outside, Jason pulled up to the building, meeting up with the other two officers that arrived. After talking quickly with them, they headed inside with their guns drawn. None of them knew of the trap that Gabby's kidnapper had set up. Back in the room, he was still gloating to Gabby about how he wouldn't get caught, unaware of what would happen in the next few moments.

When the man spoke about anyone coming to save her it seemed to be the first time that she really felt like this could be it. In a warehouse with a strange man who wanted to kill her, well there had to be a worse way to go out than that she thought but right at that moment she couldn’t think of one. “I’m going to kill you and kick you and urghhh” She tried to scream through her taped mouth in frustration. This wasn’t going to be easy to get out of and probably no one knew where she was after all she might have simply walked off from the fire house given Herrmann’s training.
Gabby decided that screaming and stamping her feet again was at least the best thing she could do as she glared at the man. Muttering something about his sister and family with a few not so kind words all mixed in. She guessed he would catch her drift or at least have an idea what she was trying to say though now she didn’t want rescued for the simple fact she could see no good end to the day. Either she died to whoever was trying to find her would because they simply wouldn’t know and she couldn’t warn them.

Outside, Jason heard Gabby's muffled screams, along with the pounding of her feet. He motioned to the other officers that they were close. The other officers nodded, then set up to move in. As they did, Jason got a wiff of the fumes from inside the room, knowing what that ment. He managed to stop the officers and motion for them to enter on the sides of the room. His training from special forces told him that there was a trap set up. Once they were ready, Jason gave the signal for them to enter.
Back inside, the man went to slap Gabby for what she did.....only to get tackled by Jason. The men got in to a scrap while the other officers cut the tape off Gabby and removed the tape from her lips. One of the officers pulled the damp gauze out of Gabby's mouth before picking her up getting her out of the room. As they did, Jason manged to end the fight by knocking the guy out, though it wasn't easy for him. After doing so, he cuffed the guy and got him out of the room. Outside, the officer holding Gabby got her to the EMTs that had arrived.

Was this really going to be how she went out, trying to be saved herself and someone setting off some kind of trap. That was just great. Then she saw it, the crazy man was going to slap her she winced bracing herself for what she was sure would hurt when she saw the man get tackled. For a split second she thought she had imagined it but when the she saw the scrap and the other officers cut the tape of her. No this was all real she thought to herself as she coughed slightly as the officer pulled the gauze from her mouth.
She was about to go and help Jason when she was picked up and taken from the room. The smell from the fumes was making her feel ill but she didn’t care, not when she wanted to kick the guy who had done all of this slowly followed by her brother. When the EMT’s started to fuss over her and put a oxygen mask on she pushed it away standing up and heading toward one of the officers. “Jason... Officer McGuire, where is he... he could be hurt.” She rambled slightly panicked though not sure why she was chosing now to start freaking out over everything.
“You got to find him... help him or do something.” She demanded as she felt one of the EMT’s trying to pull her back a little as she simply chose to glare at them though she could feel herself shaking. She didn’t know if she was angry, scared, relieved or a bit of everything.
