Hank thought over the name as Jason asked about the unpaid debt, now that had been a sight of a case. Sometimes there were those times when things just unsettled you more than others and the minute he had seen that photo of the guy versus the baseball bat, well he couldnt face much food for a few days. “I don’t think that guy was ever the same again.” Hank mused as the corners of his mouth turned upwards in a creepy smirk. Hank watched as Jason worked, the guy had talent and was at the top of his list for his unit if there was a space and he’d make one for Ice too.
“Don’t tell us what you know Sean, and I will personally let Sal know you were he myself.” He said before looking toward Jason, “I mean we can have a CPD car outside his house to fetch him some clothes because he’s being so co-operative. Then the evidence van to pick up all of his gear.” He said knowing that the CPD didn’t really have to say much for people’s mouths to start talking, especially when a criminal’s reputation was everything on the street.

Jason nodded a bit when Voight said that, seeing the smirk on his face. He didn't know that the Sergent had him and Ice at the top of his list in case there was an opening. Sean squirmed even more in his seat when that was said. "You really think I'm that stupid?" he said, trying to stonewall them, which Jason noticed. "You know, Sean seemed rather intimidated by Ice....maybe I should bring him in here." he said off the cuff. Sean looked at Jason when he said that, his eyes going wide at the same time.
"You can't do that, were not in Russia!" Sean said to them, freaking out a little. "Then start talking" Jason shot back as he stood there. Seeing he had no choice, Sean told them where Sal was. Jason listened as talked, the look on his face not changing as he stood there and listened. Outside, Ice had stood up from where he was sitting when he saw an officer walk by him.

Hank could only roll his eyes at Sean, did the guy really want anyone in that room to answer that question? Hank knew what he thought and given the fact that Sean was making the guy squirm in his seat, well it was good and yes Hank thought that Sean was a little stupid. Then again it worked in their favour for the fact they had been able to catch him. Hank saw Sean’s eyes go wide at the prospect of Ice. “Oh sure bring him in, let’s make it a party.” Hank suggested figuring that Ice would maybe make the guy talk a lot faster.
No, Sean had it right it wasn’t Russia but he was very close to the cage and Hank wasn’t beyond using that to get answers. It was old school CPD and although it was probably another reason for IA to hate him well it got results when people were scared enough to think that they needed to tell them everything. Hank watched between Jason and Sean as Sean told them were Sal was. “See now that wasn’t too difficult was it?” Hank said smirking slightly as he thought more about possibly getting Jason and Ice involved with Intelligence.
He figured he could at least offer the guy to be attached to the unit like Burgess was until there was something a little more permanent if he wanted but that would be later given the fact that they now had Sal to deal with.

Jason listened to Sean as he told them where Sal was. "Well, nice to know he's in his typical hunt." he replied after hearing that Sal was one of the higher end dining establishments in town. Jason walked over to Sean and stood him up, asking for the door to be open. Once it was, he spoke in German, at which point Ice walked up and stood in the doorway, looking at Sean and Jason. The massive German bloodline German Shepherd looked at Sean as he stood there. "Now, your not going to give us any trouble on the way to booking are you?" Jason asked. "No" Sean replied honestly as he stood there.
Jason nodded a bit, then spoke again in German, at which point Ice back up so Jason and Sean could walk out. Ice followed them to central booking, ready to pounce if Jason gave him the command to. Once there, Jason handed Sean over to the booking officers, standing back and watching along with Ice. Once Sean was booked, Jason and Ice left, unaware of the offer Sgt. Voight had for him.

For who Sal was, well they should have guessed he would be flaunting the fact somewhere public Voight thought. Still as Jason asked for the door to be opened he went across and opened it, honestly Sean’s face was priceless. The German Shepherd was a lovely dog and a well trained one at that but Sean, well he was just funny to see the two look at each other. Hank liked the way Jason worked and hearing Sean say there would be no trouble on the way to booking well it was a match made in heaven he thought.
Hank turned to Tess and asked her to clear up her paperwork for the case as Jason left. Hank went to his office to start on some paperwork for Jason before he decided to at least check with the guy first. He checked booking but he had missed them as Hank went to the second best blood hound in the CPD. Sgt. Platt, she knew most things that went on around there and if she didn’t it wasn’t worth knowing. “Hey Trudy, do you know Officer McGuire and Ice went?” He asked her knowing how she felt about dogs.

"He went up to central booking with that dog of his." Sgt. Platt replied, thinking back to the first day Jason came in with Ice. Jason remembered the sarcastic remark she made, that caused Ice to jump up and place his paws on the desk, causing the tough desk sergent to jump back a few feet. "That dog is a four legged ninja, I could have sworn he would have jumped over the desk and....slobber over me." she replied just as Jason and Ice walked into the main area of the station. Jason heard her and looked over after walking in. "He wouldn't do that Sergent." he said in respectful tone.
Sgt. Platt looked over and saw Jason and Ice as she stood there. "Officer McGuire, Sgt. Voight was looking for you." she said after composing herself. Jason nodded a bit, then looked over to Sgt. Voight after walking over. Ice looked back to Sgt. Platt at the same time, sensing her uneasyness about him. However, there was a friendly look in his eyes and his tail wagged a bit. He was clearly warming up Sgt. Platt, but whether or not she would return the favor was another story.

That dog of his, oh Sgt Platt wasn’t a fan of the dog he mused as he tried not to tease her about that. He listened as she started to tell him about Ice, the dog was a ninja and one he would like to work along side if Jason was okay with the idea and the offer. “He likes you Sergeant.” Voight stated trying to keep a reasonably straight face though anyone could see he was highly amused by her reaction. It really was priceless to see her like that over Ice but he was sure Ice would grow on her.
When she said that he was looking for Jason he nodded. “I was looking for you.” He stated deciding that the direct route over his offer was probably the best one to take. “You and Ice have impressed me today and I want to make you an offer. I don’t need an answer now and whatever you chose I wont hold it against you but at least think about it.” He added, well it wasn’t exactly glamorous nor was living the high life but he hoped it would be something the guy would at least consider. “I don’t have an opening in Intelligence yet but I would like to work with you as our patrol officer. Well you and Ice. Once a place is available you get first shot at it, again Ice too but if you’d like then I’d like to work with you on our cases we get. It’s not great pay and its not always straight hours but you’re good at what you do and your interrogation of Sean was great. So the offer is there.” He said leaning on the front desk for a moment.

"Us?" Jason asked after letting that sink in. Ice looked up to Sgt. Voight at the same time, tilting his head to the side after Jason said that. It was clear that both were surprised when they heard Voight give his offer. Jason composed himself after saying that. "I accept" he said to him after a few seconds. Ice barked softly at the same time, as if he was saying yes. Jason glanced over to him when he did that, then pet him behind the ears, causing Ice to wag his tail. "Ice accepts as well" Jason said after looking back. As he said that, one of the other intel officers walked over.
"New recruit?" Ruzek asked. Jason looked over when he said that, as did Ice, who recognized the other officer but was still unsure of him. Jason spoke in German to Ice, who sat next to Jason after he said that. Jason looked back to Voight after Ruzek spoke up. He had seen Ruzek around the station before and had the feeling he was one of the intel officers under Voight's command. Ice looked at Jason while sitting there, then at Ruzek, an uneasy look in his eyes.

Hank nodded hearing Jason ask if it was them, he felt like saying it was the general idea but then again he wanted the guy to join the team and not to be scared away. He was surprised at the speed of Jason’s reply but I accept were the words he wanted to hear from the man. “Then welcome to Intelligence Officer McGuire and Ice.” He said reaching to shake the mans hand. It wasn’t going to be an easy job but Jason had already showed he knew what he was doing and practically interrogated someone using Ice as a very good deterrent too.
When Ruzek spoke Hank nodded, “Officer McGuire please meet Adam Ruzek, Ruzek this is our new recruit from Patrol. He’ll be taking calls with us when needed.” He explained, it worked the exact same as Burgess and Atwater, either they were the responding officers or they went with them for searches and raids. Simple in concept, a little more complicated in practice. “I hope you’ll be happy working with us because I think it will be a good thing.” He said having thought that already, he doubted he was wrong on that fact.

Jason nodded to Adam when Sgt. Voight introduced him. "I have a feel I will." he said honestly in reply, though in the back of his mind he knew it wouldn't be easy in working the cases that the Intel guys got. As he said that, Ice sniffed out Adam, then looked up to him. Jason l0oked at Ice when he did that. *He's one of us* he said to the massive dog in German. Ice looked back to Jason, then back at Adam before sitting next to his handler. "Give him time to warm up you, German Shepherds are rather weary of strangers." Jason said off the cuff to Adam, who nodded a bit in reply. He had never been around the department's K-9s before so this was going to be new to him, however he could tell that Jason and Ice were a good team and that ICe was fiercely loyal and protective of Jason. At the same time, Adam wondered how the others would react to one of the department's K-9 officers working with them.
Jason had the same thought, but didn't dwell on it as he stood there. "Well, I better fill out my report on the case and Sean arrest, don't want to have him released on account of myself not turning that in." he said before speaking in German again, causing Ice to follow him back to the squad room. Adam watched them leave, then looked at Sgt. Voight. "All German Shepherds that big?" he asked matter of factly as he stood there. He was trying to picture a dog of that size chasing a suspect, unaware of what Ice was capable of.

Hank watched Adam, Jason and Ice. Having a dog around was going to be a new thing for everyone but once they saw him work he was sure everyone would warm up pretty quickly. They had one of two choices about the matter and Voight didn’t care for anyone who couldnt warm up to the pair of them. When Jason spoke about the report Hank nodded, “Good thought and welcome to the team.” He said as Jason left with Ice. He felt it was a good choice to pull Jason into things and despite the fact that they didn’t always work the strict rules he was sure they would get along.
“Most are but Ice, he’s a real softie.” Hank said although he was extremely sure he would never want to cross the dog at all. “You’ll see him work soon enough.” Hank had spent most of the day watching both Ice and Jason work together and he was impressed as he headed off back to his office. He had his own report to finish up on the case, it wasn’t too bad a day when things worked out alright. One bad guy was locked up, the four girls were safe for now and things were good.
He couldnt deny that even now he took a liking to the simpler things. A small win here and there, a good turnout for a case. It didn’t always have to be grand or gory but as long as the city was safe and people were happy to go to their beds that day. The CPD was safe, it could be a called a very good day.

At the same time, Jason filled his report and turned it in. His shift was over so he went to change after submitting his report. While changing, Jason thought about what he was offered. It wasn't lost on him that that he could end up as plain clothes officer on the intel unit if he was patient enough. *discipline Jason* he said to himself. Ice looked up to Jason at the same time. "Big changes coming for us Ice." he said to the dog. Ice tilted his head to the side, then barked softly. Jason smiled a bit, then reached down and removed the K-9 vest that Ice wore, which he hung up in his locker.
After he finished changing, Jason took Ice home, telling Shani the news after walking in. Shani was surprised, but clearly happy for him. Jason knew she was as he stood there with her while Ice went to be with the kids. He didn't know what working with the intel unit would bring him. A few days later, Jason and Ice were sitting in a coffee shop that a friend of Jason's Tim owned. Tim and Jason both met in the army and were close friends. Everyone noticed the two and it was clear they had respect for him and Ice. While sitting there, Ice saw someone familour and sat up in an alerted state, getting Jason's attention.

Time never stood still or at least that was what Hank found as he headed toward the coffee shop. Honestly the day was too quiet, far too quiet which meant one thing there was trouble brewing somewhere. Right at that very moment the only brewing he was concerned with was a strong hot coffee that had his name written on it. Hank made his order as he stood waiting for it to be filled as he glanced around the coffee shop.
He was surprised to see two familiar faces as he moved to pick his coffee up from the counter before he made his way toward Ice and Jason. “Well look who’s been found.” He said patting Ice on the head as Hank glanced toward Jason. “Busy day so far?” He asked knowing that Intelligence had been mostly quiet which was unnerving and annoying at the same time. He had no call for Jason or Ice yet which was also annoying but sometimes the days could just be that slow. Coffee drinking and paperwork that was all that was done.
Hank didn’t do too well behind a desk for a day which was why he was out and about, in an effort not to yell at anyone or bite anyone’s head off just because he didn’t like the peace that was afforded to them so far.

Jason looked at Sgt. Voight when he said that, then nodded a bit. "It is....in more ways then one." he said dryly while sitting there, his hand on the mug that was in front of him. "Let me just say that it was one odd call after an other for the first three hours." Jason quipped as he sat there. Ice looked back to him at the same time, the look on his face giving away that he felt the same as Jason. Jason looked at Ice, then pet him behind the ears before looking back to Voight. "Nothing Ice and I can help with?" he asked out of the blue. Jason still remembered the case he helped Intel with a few days ago, and while it didn't show and he wouldn't admit it, he had a hankering to work a case with them again.
Ice sensed it as he sat next to his handler. At the same time, the young waitress that was waiting on Jason came over and set his check down. *Thank you Gabriela* he said to her in Romanian. Gabriela nodded in reply and spoke back to him before leaving. Jason watched her leave, then looked back to Voight. "I met her not long after my first year on patrol." he said to the older cop. It was clear by the way he spoke that the first meeting between Jason and Gabriela wasn't under the best of circumstances.

Hank simply smirked as Jason spoke, well at least one of them was having an interesting day he thought. “Odd calls are always good, at least you’ve had that it’s just been paper work and filing. Both I hate.” He stated knowing that he hated paperwork as much as he hated any lettered agency breathing down his neck for something. Hank thought about it for a moment, “Well you’re more than welcome to come by Intelligence and see if things have picked up any? You’re on the team now so im sure there would be something to do.” He said hoping there was because it was really doing his head in if there wasn’t.
Hank was impressed that Jason knew Romanian, he could tell a few different dialects from around the city though he couldnt speak any. Sharon was already trying to teach him Italian or French but then again a glare covered pretty much any language. Hank could tell that there was something more going on that a simply meeting, “It’s good you’ve kept in touch. She seems like a nice girl.” He said glancing over to Gabriela. “So I sense more of a story to that than just a meeting.” He said letting Jason decide if he would say anything or not, it was interesting to see what kind of company he kept but if he kept in touch with Gabriela then he guessed Jason was one of the good officers that the City had.
