Ciara hated bars, she pulled her father out of more than she cared to admit over the years. Hell, she’d come walking into bars well before she was of drinking age. Alcohol had destroyed her family. She refused to touch the stuff; but she couldn’t help but sit there because it was what she was used to doing and this place was full of cops and firefighters just having a good time. It wasn’t something she could explain to anyone. Not that she felt like she had to explain herself. Her dad wasn’t here though. Ciara and Katie had taken action. They lived with this mom and Patrick had a restraining order against him. There were days that Ciara missed before things had gotten bad. She had some young but fond memories of before things went to hell in a handbasket. She was close with Braden and Katie; but even Lucas was standoffish at times from the family. Savannah was at home asleep with Katie. Ciara was keeping her while Braden and his wife were on vacation. Ciara had the week off but just needed this one night to herself. Ciara loved getting to spend time with her niece. It wasn’t too late, and she could probably get home in time for a bedtime story. It was funny how one little thought could move her out of a place she’d practically become addicted to. Ciara paid for her water and french fries before getting up to leave. She had parked a few blocks down the street so she started the walk back to her car from Molly’s . Malachi Ben-Gidon

[googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] I’M NOT ARGUING just telling you i'm right Malachi was out pacing for yet another night, it seemed to be more his style recently as he tried to figure out why Elizabeth had blamed him for doing his best to try romance. It wasn’t exactly perfect but because he knew his way around breaking into places, follow and getting to a target he at least figured she would appreciate the effort he had put in that night for her. He missed Gabe and it was yet another night he had free in the world as he paced down the street. The darkness starting to become friendlier to him than the light as he saw the door open to bar called Molly’s.
He watched the woman leave, surprised she would walk on her own as he glanced around the area. Meeting someone? Running out on someone he wondered as he had more experience with the second in that train of thought. A bar might be the best place for him to go but the sad part was, it wouldn’t fix a thing for him. No he was single now, free and had nothing to occupy himself with. Work was pretty slow which meant he had managed to escape a detail back the hotel he was staying at. Malachi kept to his side of the street as he glanced over at the woman spotting a man in a hoodie following closer behind her. There wasn’t anything positive he could see about that and in his mood, a fight was about to become a good thing.
Diplomat or not he thought as he crossed the street, “Hey there.” He called out, mainly to attract the random hooded figure’s attention than the female though if she knew at least it was another set of eyes. In a jog he made it across the street, “Wondered if I could help you?” He asked the figure as he saw a set of eyes look at him before muttering something about taking a wrong turn and taking off in the opposite direction.
No fight, a little disappointing but it seemed to be the way things in life were heading for him. He should have stayed well clear of women in general. Malachi pushed the thought from his mind before paying attention to the female there. “You really shouldn’t be walking alone at night around here.” He said in his usual straight to the point tone. “It’s not safe if you don’t know what you’re doing.” Again to the point and direct though mostly he didn’t see anything wrong with pointing out the problem there might have been.
Chicago was a whole new world to him and although he was out, he knew he could cause someone else a world of issues if he wanted to. Especially if he threw the diplomat card too. Go figure why Mossad gave him the job.
