Location: Prison Visitors Room Block BThe siren sounded at 3.45pm on Thursday afternoon. It was official the prison had just gone into lockdown. Wherever people were, they stayed and their access to the outside had been cut off. The control rooms for several blocks of the prison have been over run and the prisoners are now in charge. Those prison guards that resisted have either been locked in the cells, beaten into submission or lay grievously injured. The leader of the Cobalt Monkeys has grouped together all stray guards, prison staff and visitors to the prison in the windowless room of the visitors room. One guard block at the far end of the room has been overrun by the gang, Cobalt Monkeys. Weapons have been confiscated by the prison at the door for those who are law enforcement inside the prison. There are only three doors to the visitors room, one that leads to the outside and two that lead further into the prison. All guarded by gang members with make shift weapons. All players are isolated in their blocks. Help might come... at some point. Also disasters might appear too via a Chicago Staff member only. Players that want to have their characters harmed, go for it but no death of said characters. Gang: Cobalt Monkeys Intel: Leader is Ross Valdez, despite their name the Cobalt Monkeys are one of the most notorious street level gangs in Chicago. Make no mistake; they would sooner kill than ask for something from you. Their enemies include the Rebel Riders, not your average Sunday bike club. Tag: @greg, Mattie Chappel, & Theodore Bennett,

As a general rule, Mattie wasn't prone to spending her days off at a prison, but she had promised on of the women in her patrol area that she'd come by and check on her son. In a way, it was ironic, since Mattie was the one who had arrested the kid after he'd overdosed on the same crap he was selling to the kids at the school in the neighborhood. But he was on a restricted hold, so he wasn't allowed any outside visitors, and that was where Mattie came in. She was sitting at a small table, waiting for the guy to be brought out, trying to convince herself that she might actually make a difference, might make the kid rethink his path when all hell broke loose. As others ran for the doors, Mattie held back, the 'cop' in her wanting to make sure everyone was all right and the situation was as contained as it could be... But in the long-run it didn't matter. The place was overwhelmed pretty quickly, no one had a chance to escape, and in a matter of minutes they even more people were herded into the room -- guards and workers mostly -- and keeping them all in check thugs that Mattie recognized as gang members. It took her a few minutes to figure out exactly how she knew them, but then she realized that they were from the Cobalt Monkeys, and she knew they were major trouble. At the moment, though, that didn't really matter, several of the guards were injured, a couple of them pretty severely, and she moved to tend to these men while trying to keep a low profile, relieved that she was in 'civvies' and not her uniform. "I could use a little help here," she spoke quietly to no one in particular, fighting not to let the prisoners' goading and shouting bother her.
