Harrison was obsessed with the water, he had nothing against Chicago but he wanted to get back out onto the water again. It was why he was looking over the 45' Teak Ketch 1933 boat moored in the harbour. He had told no one he had bought it, it was a frivolous purchase but one he knew he would love no end. It had space enough for the whole family, two bedrooms on board and a living area so a trip out to sea would be as easy as staying in a hotel for a few nights.
His wife and daughter might have disagreed about that though he chose not to consult them on it before springing it on them later. No right now, he wanted to look over the boat and make sure everything was as it should be. Even the wooden deck looked perfect to him and of course there were some minor things he needed to shape up. New ropes and moorings, a new sail to make sure they could at least get out to sea and back. The boat was pretty much perfect as he hovered on the harbour watching his new toy bob in the water.
Harrison was hardly the type to spend big on something when it hardly required it but he had set up a business in Chicago to occupy his time. As much fun as being a house husband was, it lasted all of five minutes when he realised that he had retired from the British Royal Navy and the house in Chicago was lacking in the floating area. At least now he could share his love of the sea with his family, he might even be able to teach his daughter how to sail and now he managed to find the perfect boat.
One to sail, fish from, do the multitude of things he knew he could from that one floating paradise. Things just seemed to click as he started to make his way toward it around the harbour as he smiled and nodded to a few people he passed them. Some fishing over the harbour wall while others simply worked on their own boats. Some for pleasure and others for a living.
