Fin had to fight the urge not to laugh at Lara’s flat tone, her interest seemed to be getting rid of him as fast as she could. The one thing he did well was follow people, to make people bend to give him exactly what he needed and right now. All he needed was a payment plan from her, a single document that could be signed just as she had done with her signature that previous night. “Ah so the poor victim has passed on.” Fin said with a roll of his eyes and a slight smirk, “How unfortunate.”
Taking the paper handed to him Fin began to write a few names down for the detective, in equal parts a few who were a waste of time and others who might prove a lot more interesting. After all he could hardly make it too easy for her. Maybe he could have a detective in his pocket, a homicide detective could never hurt to have on speed dial. At least he could cover up any wrong doings though it was rare he actually went as far as homicide. As he said those who departed the world were unable to pay their bills.
He grinned at Lara when he saw the crime scene tape lift; he ducked under as he listened to hear about Mr. Joseph Adams. Fin stared at the man; the wounds were interesting as he nodded in thought before backing up and looking at Lara. “Well for one, who would kill a golf caddy?” Fin stated before he shook his head, “Scratch that, everyone would. The golf caddies know everything in the world. You discuss business on the course and they hear every single word. Might want to look at who he worked for or the club.”
He was actually trying to be helpful in a roundabout way, sure it was a long shot but it was much like any other service business. The receptionist, the cleaner, the staff always know more about the company that the bosses want. The same went for their business; Fin could categorically say that he knew more than his boss did about what happened. “It’s sort of messy don’t you think?” Fin asked Lara smiling, “I mean sure we all have those ‘the world goes to hell days’ but I’d say you’re not looking for the serial killer of the year here. Too much damage when really one well placed stab would do.”
So perhaps he was giving too much away but then again Fin figured that Lara had caught something from the local end of the criminal world. “Here.” Fin said as he held out the piece of paper he had written on, “I’d say at least fifty percent of those names would be able to do this sort of work, one might even prove to be very interesting. Though I might say to check the loose tile in the bathroom with a rose on it.” Fin added smirking, well at least Lara might check bathrooms throughout the city with the names but to his knowledge only one name had roses on a strip of tiles in their bathroom.

"Mmm, I can see how broken up you are. Do you need a minute?" Came Lara's sarcastic reply to Fin's 'How unfortunate' Lara listened to Fin as he mused about who would kill a caddy and why, staring at him with a deadpan expression. "Really? Look into his work place? That's really the kind of think they should teach us in detective school." She quipped causticly. She had let this guy enter the crime scene because he said he might be able to point her to specific suspects, she hadn't let him there to play detective and tell her what she already knew...though the reminder of what she already knew was kind of useful in her current state, not that she would ever admit that, EVER. “It’s sort of messy don’t you think?” Lara turned from Fin to the victim, "Messy is my area." She mumbled under her breath. Meaning herself and her life as well as the messy homicides she had to work on. "Maybe it was a crime of passion." She retorted, shooting Fin a look. Implying that she could understand stabbing someone a dozen times when once would do. Lara took the list as Fin held it out and gave it the once over. But she soon shot Fin an unamused frown when he told her only half would be capable of this kind of thing. "fifty- This isn't a game." She said firmly, all sarcastic tones disappearing. "Which fifty? Someone was killed, do you understand that?" If Fin was getting his fun from annoying her then he was doing a good job. "And what are you talking about rose-tiles? There is a killer walking around out there who needs to be arrested before he kills someone else." She swatted the list with the back of her hand, "I let you over here to help, not to waist my time on a goose chase. So help or get out of here. Or better yet I can arrest you for interfering with a police investigation." Okay so maybe she was puffing smoke a little bit to get Fin to cut out the crap. But if he was seriously going to continue to waist her time she was not above giving him the boot or arresting him. Tag: @fin . |

“Oh yes, that would be great thanks.” Fin said with a smirk, the scene might be horrifying to others but Fin could appreciate the beauty in the darkness of it all. Yes he was a strange person, the darkness of life he could thrive with but the happiness or kind side of things. He would first assume someone giving him a coffee was poisoned rather than just a kind act of humanity. Fin chortled hearing Lara talk about detective school. “Oh Detective please, I never assumed you actually went to detective school, don’t they just give out tin stars and a high five you’re a cop badges these days?” He asked once again trying to get under her skin one way or another.
“Hmmm interesting, well I guess if the crime scene was too neat it would raise questions huh.” Fin mused as he wondered just how messy work got for the detective. It was almost a selling point for him to try and sign up, the only downside to that would be the whole enforcing a rule issue he had. “Oh nice one detective, we’ll get that gold start yet won’t we?” Fin added sarcastically as he saw the un-amused frown as he chuckled. Lara really needed to relax into life he felt as he smiled back at her.
“So serious, you take all the fun out of this.” Fin said with a sigh as he glanced over his list again, well fifty was a good start. She was either wrong or right in the case it was a life lesson really he felt. “I understand that detective, I do. The body is right there.” Fin said pointing as he took a look at them again. It was sad yes but then when it was your time to go, it was your time. He believed in that much despite the obvious human hurrying along of this death. “I think I’ll hedge my bet with you’re not looking for a spree killer here detective. There’s reason we just don’t see it yet.” Fin added as he saw her swat the list with the back of her hand.
“How can you arrest me when you invited me in detective, that wouldn’t look good when I start telling people it was all because you owe me.” Fin added grinning, well to owe him was money but then no one in the room but the two of them knew that. He could just be talking coffee or a dinner he figured as he chuckled. “You really need to relax detective, how about I narrow your odds to seventy five and twenty five? If I just gave you the name then they would know I told you.” Fin added grinning, “As much as I like to help, i’d rather not become your next crime scene.” So he doubted the guy would manage to kill him but he could cause a problem for his business none the less.
