The beach it was a home away from home and after a long shift. Roxanne thought it was the place to go. She had wanted to kill someone on shift and if Wallace Boden had been away on another call, Roxi would have taken an axe to the person in question. Did she had anger issues, no did she have issues with idiots. Yes, lots of them. All she could think was that the person was lucky she had no gun on shift with her, not that she needed it but Boden put a damper on any sort of. Say that again and I’ll make you eat your teeth plans she had.
The man was a party pooper, chief for a reason but it ruined her day. For one being a fire-fighter was her job and she loved her job. It allowed her to save people, the adventure of a fire and the thrill of running into a burning building. To her it was more of a stretch than the FBI could ever be and their stupid rules on how many people a year she could shoot without having a complaint filed against her. Roxi had answers for each and everyone one of those bullets fired, like yes I had done my five mile run that morning.
The suspected needed to slow down so he got shot in the leg or he came at me with a hammer and physically disarming him. No easier to just shoot him in the arm, all very good answers in her book. Much like today, after saving a man from a house fire. When he saw that she was female and not a male he asked that he be put back inside and rescued by professional. Ha, the guy was lucky she never got near him or she would have taken him right back inside and left him there.
Roxi wanted to argue, or fight or hit something as she kicked up the sand as she walked on the beach. She was annoyed and more than that upset that a guy could think she was no good at her job. No she had trained, done the exact same training as a guy. No half measures, so women’s version she did it. Passed it and did her job and this guy thinks that he wanted a real fire-fighter to rescue him. Oh she was beyond angry at that as she glared at a shell before picking it up and hurling it into the waves that she knew would wash it back to her feet in moments.

[googlefont="Courgette"] love is a dangerous game @roxi Jackie tended to chase ghosts and journalists all day, making sure they didn’t slaughter the company name all over the newspaper. A company that had taken her all over the country in the light of the last few years. She was the wife of someone who had served in a military capacity. As for firefighters that wasn’t really her thing; but if she knew anything it was when someone was bugged by something. It came with having four kids, a husband, and mothering everyone else in the family. She didn’t want to upset the other woman though. “This isn’t too cold for you?” Who sat on the beach at this time of year? The place was practically deserted and Jackie was wrapped up rather warmly. She had come down here after a long conversation with Michael down at the PD after she’d simply tried to pay a parking ticket. One that the man had given her nonetheless when she’d had every right to park there.
Once she had gotten that taken care of she had needed to just walk and this happened to be the direction she had wandered. Jackie found the other woman rather pretty, brunette hair that she had wished she could have. Sure her husband liked blondes but Jackie had always found brunettes to be so much more attractive, whomever said that blondes had more fun was surely high.

Roxi was stuck in her own head, yes she was the loudest out of all the triplets but it rarely stopped her from having those moments of quiet when she fantasised over the death of that man. Oh if she could have she would have walked him right back and had Hermann go and get him but no, she had done her job and that was good enough for her. If others chose to think less of it then fine but Roxi, no she did what she knew how to do. “Too cold?”Roxi almost bit the womans head off for even talking to her before she tried to smile. Her hands raised slightly in an apologetic gesture as she shook her head. “Not too cold at all, it’s Chicago. Much warmer than New York State.” Roxi said smiling seeing how well wrapped up the woman was. Roxanne wore a blue long sleeved blouse with a light summer jacket, she was used to the cold and as a fire-fighter she appreciated it a lot more than she did the heat. “You look like you’re cold though? What are you doing out here and not in front of a heater or a fire?” Roxi asked glancing over the woman. As much as she could tell what her siblings were thinking and hiding, she was a pretty decent judge of people who had something on their minds. Roxanne had already gone purple with her hair and yes loved it at the time because it annoyed everyone else, now she hated it. Blonde however she always wanted to try but then looking at all different from her sister, well if there was ever a need to be the quiet triplet. The hair would give it away. Jacqueline Pierce,

[googlefont="Courgette"] love is a dangerous game Jackie was a public relations person, so knowing when someone wanted her to back off was part of her job. This woman clearly didn’t want to be bothered. “I apologize for bothering you.” Jackie politely replied. Though she wasn’t going to be rude when Roxie questioned her about why she was all wrapped up. “I used to live in Alaska, this isn’t so bad. I tend to dress to blend in.” It was the truth. Though Jackie was clearly one of those women who was clearly into how she dressed and her appearance.
Jackie could tell that Roxanne was profiling her, it didn’t take rocket science to figure it out. Probably former law enforcement or military. Jackie was good at figuring out those types. Though she started to walk down the path a little ways. “Have a good day miss.” She was being sincere, but she could also tell that this woman didn’t want to be bugged by conversation so she wasn’t going to push the conversation any further. No, she was going to go home and see if she could find out more about why this cop was giving her tickets when her decal was visible.
sorry so short @roxi

Roxi knew she had an abrasive personality, she was the person who pushed people away because all the friends she needed were Michael and Trinity. Until they were working and unavailable to unload upon and then Roxi was at the point of realising that there was no one else. She could even hear her mother telling her to try to be nice, even as a kid she had done the same thing. “Dress to blend in, when you look like you?” Roxi said finding the statement amusing to say the least. For one the woman seemed to take good care of her appearance so blending in, yeah Roxi was having a hard time believing that one to be true. When the woman started to walk down the pathway away from her Roxi rolled her eyes. Be nice and friendly she thought, be like her mother siblings and try to hold a conversation with an adult. Yes her new aim for the day, at least it would take her mind off wanting to kill a person she barely knew. Oh if she was still at the FBI she would have shot the guy already for annoying her. With a slight sprint Roxi caught up to the woman as she slowed her pace to walk along side her. “Sorry about that, just had a rough day.” She explained deciding that unloading that she wanted to kill a person was likely to get her institutionalised. “So back to your blending in..., how can you even think looking like you, that you’re able to blend?” Roxi asked her, “And why an earth would you want to blend in the first place? Be you, it is the way of the world and blending never works. I try to tell my sister that but she never listens to me.” So sharing provided conversation, well it was that or just let the woman walk off and have her think she was an angry person. Half might be true but it was hardly the point, she could talk and try to be friends and out of her own mind of a while in the day. At least she could try to and if it went horrifically wrong then she could catch her siblings later to rant at them about it all. Jacqueline Pierce,

[attr="class","Jackiener"] [attr="class","Jackiener1"] [attr="class","Jackieback"] [attr="class","Jackienert"]Jackie had grown up in a relatively wealthy family and although money wasn’t an issue in her marriage, she still had to watch the budget so to speak. Her husband liked to spoil her and the little trips to the nail salon or hair salon every now and again were sometimes in the cards. The question about blending in rubbed Jackie a little bit raw. It may not have been intended as an insult but that’s how Jackie took it. Oh she’d picked the wrong woman to have a conversation with. Jacqueline was willing to give anyone a pass for having a rough day or even a rough patch of life. Though when the apology was followed by a quick repetition of the same insulting tones, she didn’t process it as very sincere. Right, just because she wasn’t afraid of her feminine side and had a life where news cameras and reporters were a thing. Jackie was the public relations face of Cross Consolidated there was a professional image and she was going to keep it. “This is me.” Jackie gave her a short answer. One hopefully designed to stop the conversation in it’s tracks. So much for trying to be nice. The woman has just had a rough day Jacqueline. You are confident in who you are. Let it go. She could hear the voice in the back of her head. “I wouldn’t want to see the headlines if I was caught wearing shorts in Chicago this time of year. My boss would not approve.” Not that Cross was in the news right now but she didn’t need her professional image or that of her employer ruined by some reporter out for their daily jog on their personal time. ∵ @roxi ∵ [attr="class","Jackiener2"] [attr="class","Jackienerlyric"]Quand tu me tiens, je suis vivant Nous sommes comme des diamants dans le ciel [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener]width:420px;height:500px;background:#fcfcfc;padding:1px;border:10px solid #0a2a4d;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener1]width:415px;height:495px;margin-top:2px;border:1px solid #f0f0f0;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener2]width:415px;height:495px;float:center;margin-top:-390px;background: url(https://cdn.nickpic.host/images/pCe50m.jpg);transition: 0.9s ease-in-out;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener:hover .Jackiener2]margin-left:-850px;transition: 0.9s ease-in-out[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienerlyric]width:330px;padding-top:405px;text-shadow:#333 1px 1px;font-family:bookman;font-size:25px;text-transform:uppercase;color:#0a2a4d;padding-bottom:5px;color:#fcfcfc[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienerlyric span]font-size:108%[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackieback]width:400px;height:380px;margin-top:8px;background-color:#fcfcfc[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert]width:400px;height:465px;margin-top:10px;overflow:auto;text-align:justify;font-family:verdana;font-size:12px;padding:2px;color:#666;background-color:#fcfcfc;line-height:13px;opacity:0;transition:0.8s ease-in-out;transition-delay:0.9s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert span]font-size:11px;text-transform:lowercase[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert b]color:#0a2a4d;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener:hover .Jackienert]opacity:1;transition:0.8s ease-in-out;transition-delay:0.9s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb:vertical]border:2px solid #fcfcfc; background-color:#aaa;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb:horizontal]background-color:#fcfcfc; border:1px solid #fcfcfc;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert::-webkit-scrollbar]width:5px; height:5px;background-color:#fcfcfc; border:1px solid #fcfcfc;[/newclass]

Roxi and money, yeah she found ways around the lacking money issues the family had at times. It might not have been the perfect solution or a pretty one but marrying rich was hardly going to happen. So dancing was her way of easing any financial strains, it worked and helped put her sister through medical school and if Michael felt they could stand on their own two feet it helped him sort out his finances for the himself and Alexis. All in all money was something though not everything but a little Friday night dancing never hurt to make sure there was a roof and food.
As long as her brother never knew where the extra cash came from. Roxi knew she was hardly the friendly type, she had a way about her that just annoyed people and she could see that side of her working away on the woman. Roxi had no clue what the woman did for work, she could imagine something glamorous, a model or a big high flying executive of some major firm she had never heard of. Hearing the sort answer Roxi nodded to her smiling deciding that was an end of a line of conversation if ever there was one. "And you look great, as they say if you've got it flaunt it and you've got a lot going for you." Roxi added seeing it was true and also trying to make up for her foul mood and attitude from earlier.
“If you wore shorts at this time of year I think you’d be insane.” Roxi added trying to be a little more approachable. “Then again you boss should never be able to tell you what to wear on your down time, or on the job unless there’s a dress code.” She added deciding that being in the FBI had its advantages there. Suit was usually the call of the day or tactical gear depending on what she was doing but now it was more her civilian clothes or a turn coat and the familiar blue of the fire department uniform.
“So where do you work that doesn’t allow shorts?” Roxi asked trying to make conversation. “Wait let me guess... law firm? Because those guys are about as stuck in the twenties as anyone.” She added having had her fill of lawyers at the FBI. Mostly when they grilled her over her choice to shoot her weapon but she was hardly the biggest fan.

[attr="class","Jackiener"] [attr="class","Jackiener1"] [attr="class","Jackieback"] [attr="class","Jackienert"]Jackie eased up a little bit, and was less stand offish but she wasn’t exactly sure to make of this other woman. “You looked in a mirror lately, not too bad yourself.” It was a honest compliment. Jackie had a tendency to find brunettes much more appealing then blondes. Male or female didn’t really matter. People watching, even behind closed doors was a thing. Though she wasn’t just about to come out and say anything, even if she did find Roxie attractive. There was a little bit of laughter as Roxie tried to guess where Jacqueline worked. “I’m the head of public relations for a multi billion dollar company. Dress code is one thing, expectation to the public eye is another.” She pointed out. “How you talk to people how people see you.” Yeah when something went wrong Jacqueline was expected to handle things at Cross Consolidated and keep the company from taking the marketing hits as well as make a good impression on the general public on a day to day basis. Pissing people off could come back to bite her company in the ass. Then she was pegged for a lawyer. Jackie started laughing harder. “No, my sister almost became a lawyer though.” She giggled at the thought. “Lawyers are too stuck up for their own good though.” Okay so Jackie wasn’t really a fan of lawyers. “What about you? What’s your calling?” Jackie was trying to be friendly but not too specific when it came to questions about Roxie. That last thing she wanted to do was upset the woman again. ∵ @roxi ∵ [attr="class","Jackiener2"] [attr="class","Jackienerlyric"]Quand tu me tiens, je suis vivant Nous sommes comme des diamants dans le ciel [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener]width:420px;height:500px;background:#fcfcfc;padding:1px;border:10px solid #0a2a4d;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener1]width:415px;height:495px;margin-top:2px;border:1px solid #f0f0f0;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener2]width:415px;height:495px;float:center;margin-top:-390px;background: url(https://cdn.nickpic.host/images/pCe50m.jpg);transition: 0.9s ease-in-out;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener:hover .Jackiener2]margin-left:-850px;transition: 0.9s ease-in-out[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienerlyric]width:330px;padding-top:405px;text-shadow:#333 1px 1px;font-family:bookman;font-size:25px;text-transform:uppercase;color:#0a2a4d;padding-bottom:5px;color:#fcfcfc[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienerlyric span]font-size:108%[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackieback]width:400px;height:380px;margin-top:8px;background-color:#fcfcfc[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert]width:400px;height:465px;margin-top:10px;overflow:auto;text-align:justify;font-family:verdana;font-size:12px;padding:2px;color:#666;background-color:#fcfcfc;line-height:13px;opacity:0;transition:0.8s ease-in-out;transition-delay:0.9s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert span]font-size:11px;text-transform:lowercase[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert b]color:#0a2a4d;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackiener:hover .Jackienert]opacity:1;transition:0.8s ease-in-out;transition-delay:0.9s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb:vertical]border:2px solid #fcfcfc; background-color:#aaa;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb:horizontal]background-color:#fcfcfc; border:1px solid #fcfcfc;[/newclass] [newclass=.Jackienert::-webkit-scrollbar]width:5px; height:5px;background-color:#fcfcfc; border:1px solid #fcfcfc;[/newclass]

Roxi just laughed and shook her head, “Thanks but I think I’m just glad to be fading into the background of life like this.” She said having never really paid too much attention to it. What she wore she was comfortable in and as for everything else it was just her. She was a firm believer in being comfortable in your own skin and that she was most days. To her blondes were always interesting, they broke the stereo types often and frankly who was against a blonde?
The wince was clear on her face at the mention of public relations, ouch this woman was a PR person. Oh those were the people that spun the truth and made statements to favour a particular thing, she understood the practice but she disapproved of the interpretation of facts that could happen. “Yeah I figure if you turned up in a crop top and a mini skirt you’re not going to be taken too seriously, same if you turned up in a hippy get up either. As the saying goes, the clothes make the man at least on the surface.” Roxi said guessing that clothing did say a lot about people.
Her old suits that she rarely wore now screamed Fed or law enforcement but now her more casual look. It was a guess as to what she did. “You know for a PR person saying that about Lawyers I think you make a lot of sense.” Roxi said with a grin, “You’re sister took the better career path anything but a lawyer, those guys can make saints look like sinners when really they are the sharks in suits more than any criminals.” She knew she was ranting a little as she came to a halt on the subject. Likely not the best idea to insult a possible career choice for this woman’s sister.
“Well for me, I used to work for the FBI and then we had a little disagreement on a few issues so I changed careers to become a fire-fighter.” Roxi explained smiling rather sheepishly. “I still get to help people but the rules are a little lighter with that career. Not as many lawyers and bosses and people in your ear about sneezing.” She explained though mostly it was her use of a weapon. Roxi knew she was a little rough around the edges but then if people stopped running and did what they were told she would never have been forced to make the actions she did.
