FRIENDS
Madison is sociable, funny and friendly. She is naturally the sort of person to have a lot of friends, so I am eager to integrate her into the rest of the world. She has been with the Chicago police for 3 years so far, so while she isn't the longest serving veteran in the unit, she would know everyone by now. I would also love for her to have been a fast one to catch on - rather than be an awkward rookie - because of her previous military training.
Madison gets on incredibly well with guys as she was the only woman in her unit overseas, so if there are any men in the police force would won't be opposed to having a female friend (especially one who would be like one of the guys) then I would love to sort something out between them and Madison.
As for the girls... Madison's romantic affairs are more along the lines of picking someone up on a Friday evening than they are long-term. Madison likes to go out to clubs, get loose, have a drink and pick up a guy. For this, she needs wing ladies! Once again, Madison is easy to get to know, confident and friendly - she should have no issues making friends. These could be friends who are confident like her and act as wing-women. Or more reserved women who like to go out with Madison specifically because she's the confident, leadership one who might help them get out of their shell. Either or, I'd love to hear from more ladies so that Madison can have lots of friends!
ENEMIES
Because of the above, Madison is unlikely to have that many enemies. She's friendly, chatty and generally considerate of others. What she also is, however, is determined and almost aggressive in her ruthless drive to be the best. She's been promoted to detective within three years of joining - not only Chicago PD - but the police force in general. This may result in some enemies or jealous rivals.
She also has enemies amongst the criminal circles of the world simply because she is a cop.
LOVERS
Madison's 'liaisons' are frequent and very short. Some would probably call her a slut - she calls herself confident in what she wants. As far as Madison is concerned, the human body and mind crave two things from their romantic partners. One, is physical and sexual based. The other is a meeting of the minds, hearts and loyalties. She gets the latter of these two on a daily basis from her partner David Loki, in a relationship that is not romantic but loyal, respectful, engaging and comfortable. As David is also handsome and - to Madison anyway - incredibly sexy, she deliberately avoids this becoming an issue by seeking the former need and desire elsewhere.
Despite Madison's cavalier behavior with men, she is actually very good at being in long term relationships. She has had two major relationships in her past - one when she was in high school which ended when she joined the military and one while she was overseas with a man in her unit. Both relationships lasted over two years. Both of these, however, were kept a secret from The Colonel, Madison's father who - Madison's suspects - still thinks she's a frickin' virgin. And she would like to keep it that way, as The Colonel has made his thoughts very clear on what he would put the poor guy through if anyone did want to be with her. Long-term or otherwise.
So, in conclusion - I need some one night stands for Madison (I feel like I'm pimping her out) and maybe someone brave enough to want a long-term thing and brave the wrath of The Colonel. But definitely need the former before the latter.
FAMILY
The two members of Madison's immediate family that are important or potentially open for roleplay would be her father and her brother.
Colonel Douglas Ellingham is a strict man with stricter ideals who is an army colonel first and father second. Madison believes that he sees her as property, as something he has to protect because it is his duty to as her father and as husband to his dead wife. She wonders whether he does actually love her for himself rather than for his responsibilities. He was not happy about her joining the army but she did it without telling him and his honor wouldn't allow him to force her to take it back once she had made a commitment. Madison fully believes, however, that he was only looking for a chance and excuse to pull her out which he got in the form of her kidnapping while in action.
Doug Ellingham, Madison's brother, is entirely different. Younger than her by four years (which puts him at 24), Doug was sent to a military boarding academy when he was eleven, from which he ran away when he was fifteen. Madison was overseas at the time of his disappearance and she had assumed that her letters and emails weren't getting through from her location rather than that her was missing. Her father didn't tell her he had run away and disappeared until she returned to the states after her first tour. She spent six months searching for him - despite her father doing the same for the last year - and finally tracked him down at a bar in New York. He was working behind it for bed and board in the apartment above and doing fine. What he didn't want, was to come back in under The Colonel's tutorage and world of rules. So, Madison had told their father hat Doug was safe but that he wasn't coming home and no, she wasn't going to tell him where he was. And, after extracting a promise from her brother to keep in contact with her, she left on her second tour of the Middle East. Since then - especially since her return to the States and decent signal - her and Doug have become incredibly close but only through text and email. They rarely see each other and, because of this, are almost awkward around each other when they do. Their relationship is better in electronic format.
VICTIMS / PERPS
Madison is a police officer so will obviously have interacted with a lot of people on both sides of the law - both the victims and the perpetrators. Anyone who wanted to rp either or is fine by me.
SPORTS
Madison plays basketball at the local sports park a lot, it would make sense that she knows others who attend it on a regular basis and even has people she plays basketball with on a regular basis. Anyone who is up for taking this on or wants to add basketball to their character's resume so that they can play with Madison would be awesome.
