You can't shoot feds, moron

Thomas was already playing catch up with what everyone else knew about Sharon, he guessed Hank had already been through the phase of being angry about it but then he wouldnt have expected anything less from the man. “I am angry about it, they are supposed to protect you, to make sure you’re safe not harm you more or...” Thomas shook his head as he realised that being angry about it was pointless because there was nothing he could do about it. “I’m not angry with you Sharon, I could never be.” He said not wanting her to think for a second he was angry with her at all.
Hank knew that doing the dance about letting anyone else in on what the knew was a bad idea but then Sharon had made the choice and he couldnt exactly stop her. Keeping information from others was tough, he had done it a lot over the years and sometimes it felt like you were on the ledge alone though Hank was more than ready to fix the problem if Thomas caused one. His eyes said as much as he stared at the man, this was his family and no one risked Sharon or Lou or Erin. If he needed to go off the reservation he was there and with this if Thomas even breathed a word of it to anyone he would lose vital body parts if not have a new home at the silos.
Thomas tried to smile when she said she wasnt going anywhere, he still wasnt sure what to do about anything as it felt like he was learning a whole new cover for someone who he thought he had known or still knew. “Good because I don’t want you to go anywhere Sharon.” He said wishing he could have done something more to help her at the time but then life didnt work that way. “And if you did have to go anywhere I’d go with you.” There wasnt a chance if the Marshals decided to do anything or if she had to go that he would let her go alone.
He knew it sounded nuts but then he loved her and he was willing to walk away from the life he had in Chicago to go with her, not that he had much of one as his family was well complicated and his ‘friends’ were usual whoever he was to be that week or month so moving on was what he was used to. Thomas didnt know what to call Sharon, it was a name but then what is she wanted to be called something else something other than Sharon. A name change to him was a whole other person in his life, it was what he was used to. Put Thomas Jackson in a box and welcome Dave Smith or Demetri Hass.
Hank could see Sharon’s eyes darting at him as he tried not to make any comments or say something that would make it worse for either of them. If he interfered then, well he had wanted to kill Thomas the last time and Sharon had run out of his office so obviously that wasnt the route to go down unless the guy ran his mouth off. “Her name is Sharon Voight, anything previous doesn’t matter. I call her Cher but if I catch you calling her than then I’ll shoot you myself.” Hank stated glaring at Thomas as he saw the man nod. “You can find your own nick name but if it’s anything weird I don’t want to know or anything soppy.”
Hank was trying not to interfere but then he had to say something to the guy since he seemed to be caught up about her name. Hank hadn’t much thought about naming another child but then there was Sharon and he had the list of names previously when Justin might have been a girl. Cher however had stuck and that was it, he nodded to Sharon for a moment as he reached a hand out and squeezed her shoulder lightly before he returned his hand to his side and felt silent again.
Thomas nodded to Hank, Sharon she was still Sharon as he saw the confusion in her facial expressions. He told her he wasnt going anywhere and she was confused unless she wanted him to go he wondered. Maybe that was what she wanted him to do and he hadn’t picked that up as he stood there unable to say anything for a moment. “I’m not going anywhere Sharon I promise you that.” He said trying to read her face again as it was the one thing he knew she couldnt lie so if she wanted him gone then she wasnt going to be able to hide it. He didnt know what to think as the more he thought about it the more confused he managed to get.
“Sharon promise me you won’t go near these people?” He asked her deciding that if she promised then that was good enough for him. He had to believe that she wouldnt break a promise. It was family at the end of the day and he would rather risk his neck for Sharon or Hank than have either of them return it for him, it was just the way he worked. He had lost his own family in a sense and with Sharon it was like he was finding a family all over again which he didnt want to lose at all. All he needed to know was that it involved the Mafia which to him was a world that Sharon needed to be free from and not to go back asking questions.
Hank knew that the truce wasnt exactly thought out to the point in including Thomas too. In a sense mentioning the feds would hand Cooper a play by play of how to get to Sharon and that wasnt happening. He didnt want to push the man further after he had taken the three most important people in his life, it was bad enough that Hank was going to have to make a call for help to the guy in a sense but then for family he would put any sense of awkwardness aside to get the job done as he saw it.
Thomas could see that she looked worn out as he felt like he had just been knocked for six too. His head was spinning as when he had brought her lunch he never thought he would have been walking into this. “Sharon do you want to go home and get some sleep?” He asked her not sure what she wanted to do though he was only trying to help. If she was at home she wasnt involved in the case and couldnt get hurt he thought as he gave a look to Hank to say as much.
“What do you want to do?” He asked as he knew she had risked her life in telling him everything she had done so Thomas could only ask what she wanted. He knew that he could offer up a few things about his life but then was now even the right time for that conversation, his skeletons weren’t life threatening at all at least to anyone but him. Potentially relationship ruining but then even that seemed like a small issue compared what he had just heard as he stayed quiet deciding now really wasnt the time for that conversation.
