5-4…5-4…Calling number 5-4…This is the last call for radio number 5-4. No response from Officer Jamie Reagan. Radio number 5-4 is out of service after six years three months of police service. Although you are gone, you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, our friend. Those words had haunted Nicky since Joe’s funeral, the sound at the police station and now after seeing the news they were the only words she could think of. Circling her mind like hungry wolves as she somehow managed to read the text from her mother. This was really happening; it was like a nightmare she would wake from in a half hour it had to be as she dropped to the floor of the college unable to stand anymore. It took her a while to get her head together enough to grab her back and head home, she had no idea what to put back to her mother though she tried her best to sound fine about her. Two uncles were gone because of the family business, how was this fair? The family name was supposed to protect them, they were cops people were supposed to look up to them, take care of them and not just out right kill them. The sting of tears on her face yet again because she knew this time what was going to happen. Joe had taught her that, the police funeral, line of duty shooting, the sorry faces of cops that had no idea what to say and the families of those cops who were in the same boat. What if it had been their family member and yet all Nicky could think of was it was Jamie, why not someone else? Why not the family that had escaped the touch of death? Jamie had always been the reasonable one in the family, the one who had taught her to drive, had been there just like Danny, Frank and Henry in place of a father that never bothered. Why him? Nicky had no memory of how she had managed to get to Hank’s house she had just found herself standing there outside the front door. The tears were still streaming down her face though she had no feelings, if anything she felt entirely numb to it all. She could see herself raising a hand to knock at the door but it felt like she was hardly there, what if it had been Hank or Danny or Frank? She could already feel a new wave of fear rising within her chest as she tried to hold it back. It was all she could do to stand there and hope that her mum was in. Tag: Erin "Lou" Voight

Erin Reagan Voight
Erin had been home since lunch when Hank brought her home. Nicky was due anytime now. Hank was upstairs trying to keep Erin from having to do her daily routine of things. She was both thankful for the help but frustrated that she couldn't have the distraction. Erin was doing stupid things like reorganizing and cleaning the fridge out. The fridge though wasn't really dirty. Sighing she heard the knock at the door.
Nicky had a key, but for whatever reason was knocking. Erin opened the door shaking her head. "You can just open the door you know" she stated in greeting taking Nicky into her arms. Erin was not in good spirits but she'd spent hours crying, she'd taken a short nap but she was finding stupid little things to keep busy with.
Erin could tell her daughter's face was full of tears, that hurt Erin the most. Seeing her daughter so upset. Erin could deal with her own torment but Nicky in tears was unacceptable. Erin kicked the door shut behind them just holding Nicky close to her. If Nicky needed arms to cry in, then Erin was there. If Nicky needed to fire off and get angry then Erin understood. The woman understood the pain of knowing the same people their whole lives just to have them taken from her.
Her mother's funeral had been one funeral too many, Joe's had been more than that. Now Jamie and she wanted to reach out and strangle someone, but that someone was dead. Jamie had just been doing his job. Erin had no words for Nicky. It's okay and you'll get this through this were hardly helpful. You never got through it or over it, you learned to live with it. Loss becomes a part of who you are. Brushing some hair from her daughter's face she finally spoke, and of course in true mother fashion she was asking her the obvious. "Have you eaten anything?" she asked. Erin had just been to the store the day prior. Making sure their house was always Nicky friendly was just Erin's way of doing things.

She could and she knew she had her key but standing there and finding it felt like too much of an effort for her in that moment. “I just.” She replied not sure how to explain it, was she being lazy no but her head felt like it was going to melt at any moment and standing on Hank’s porch crying her eyes out because her hand was unable to find her keys fast enough was hardly her idea of a good look. Feeling Erin take her into her arms that was the start of it, the start of any shred of strength she had left gone.
Nicky leaned into Erin shoulder and sobbed, there was nothing else she could do but that. In that moment she was too upset to be angry over anything, she tried to be but all she could do was feel the sting of tears on her face. Why did they have to lose their family, Joe had been taken and now Jamie. She was well aware of what the family business had done to their family, every week there was that one thing and every Sunday dinner they had where everyone was around the table she was thankful for.
When Erin brushed some hair from her face and asked her if she had been eating she stood and stared for a moment. “Eaten? I ate yesterday.” She said though she could hardly remember if she had eaten that day as her head was filled with a thousand other things. “No I ate breakfast, cereal.” She stated knowing she had a left a bowl in the sink to clear up later. Time had simply been a blur to her and getting to Hank’s house was just as much of a blur to her too.
“Mum we need to go to the hospital and see Jamie.” She said suddenly as she pulled away and tried to pull Erin out of the door with her. “He could be okay; they might have gotten it wrong. It happens, it can’t be him.” She said feeling her tears fall faster as she see knew deep down it was true but then what did that fix. Knowing it was her uncle who had been killed; it did nothing to stop the pain that felt as if it might rip her in two.

Erin just rubbed Nicky's back. Telling her it was okay when they both knew it wasn't. She decided to clarify what she was thinking. "I know, and sometimes it is okay to knock" She knew the feeling, the feeling of things being a bit different. Erin ran her hand down Nicky's back and then back up again. Erin knew exactly what she was doing.
When Nicky started crying, Erin didn't ask her to stop as much as it broke her heart to see her daughter in tears she let her cry. "It's okay to let it out" she whispered just holding her. The mother in Erin wished that Nicky didn't have to go through all of this. There were so many why's and what if's. Knowing there was one more empty seat at the Reagan family table was heart breaking in itself. Erin didn't even really have too many words. Nothing that wasn't the same dreadful feelings that Nicky was going through.
"Frosted Flakes is hardly food" she joked a little over her daughter's cereal choice. Anything that wasn't the huge elephant in the room. It was nearly dinner time. "I was just about to start dinner." She had been planning on counting Nicky in anyway, knowing that she was going to show up it had just been a matter of when. Then it started with Nicky being in completely denial that anything had happened.
Erin braced herself on her feet and tugged Nicky closer. What was she supposed to tell her? Erin had asked Hank to tell her she was in a nightmare. That she was going to wake up. She'd done the same thing. So she just repeated Hank's words to fit the situation. “I wish I could tell you that they have it wrong but I cant.” Frank had gone and made the ID. None of the others could bring themselves to it. It was clear Erin wasn't just taking this in stride but she had spent the better part of the day tears streaming down her face.

There was nothing okay about what had happened, she had lost two uncles now, a grandmother, a father all be it not dead but still he never bothered with her unless there was a reason. How much more family was she to lose before she had none left? Nicky knew her mum knew how to calm her down and it was working as she nodded. “I just, you know it’s his house.” She said and by his she meant Hank, things were complicated though he had never once made her feel unwelcome there it was still... complicated. “I don’t want to, it’s not fair.” She said through her tears though really why did it have to be their family? Jamie became a cop because of Joe and now all Nicky wanted to do was to become a cop to honour both Joe and Jamie. To keep the Reagan family business going and became the first Reagan female cop. Nicky could hardly imagine taking a seat on Sunday without Jamie being next to her there, the second voice of reason in her ear. It was too awful to think about as all she could do was cry into her mother’s shoulder and wish it to be a horrid nightmare. “Frosted flakes are a food source mum just ask...” She could hardly bring herself to say his name as for a brief second she felt like he would back her on that point until again she realise that it was impossible. Nicky wanted to think about anything but and at the mention of food she actually felt hungry. “What are you making?” She asked before she started to think that they had it all wrong. Jamie would never leave them; he was the patrol officer that went by the book no matter what. He was different to uncle Danny and Jamie would never just leave them. Nicky shook her head as she held onto her mum wanting her to tell her that it was some stupid dream. “They have to mum; they have to be wrong just this once.” She pleaded not wanting a word of it to be true. “Or is he working a case where he has to disappear? Witness protection because of a case? He wouldn’t leave mum, he just wouldn’t. Ask Hank he’d know what’s going on.” Nicky spluttered trying to make the whole thing into a big misunderstanding. Jamie had done undercover work before so it was hardly a leap but it was better than the reality she was facing. Erin "Lou" Voight,

Erin gently rubbed Nicky's back and kissed her forehead. “My house too, and yours” she reminded her. She knew things weren't easy with Nicky and Hank because of Jack but they weren't at each other's throats at least? Though Erin understood. Keeping her one hand running through her daughter's hair at least it was a conversation other than the Elephant in the room.
Oh Erin understood about not wanting to break down. She'd done the exact same thing. Erin was still doing the same thing, she was just trying to keep things together for Nicky's sake. “They wouldn't call it life if it were fair.” Erin heard the noise of Hank upstairs doing things that she normally did. At least she still had the distraction of cooking. Erin just held Nicky as she cried.
Erin knew where the whole Frosted Flakes conversation had been going. "Parmesean Chicken" she knew Nicky was biased towards chicken for dinner. Erin wished that she could explain that by the book meant that someone could live instead. Sadly, she knew the opposite to be true. Sometimes it meant bending the rules to save a life. How many times had she heard that one from Danny or even Hank? Erin just ran her hand through Nicky's hair.
Erin listened to Nicky pleading. It broke her heart. "Nicky I wouldn't lie to you. No matter how much it hurts, I promised to tell the truth." It was a promise she had made her a long time ago. One she kept. Though she just hoped that she could keep Nicky from following in Jamie or Joe's footsteps. Erin wished that she could make it all go away. Why did the Reagan family have to give so much? It always came back to bite.

“I know I know, it’s just... yeah.” She said not wanting to get into the in’s and outs of why Hank’s house was different from home. For one it was Hank’s house and she was hardly going to lounge out on the sofa and eat ice cream all day without his permission first. Nicky never wanted it to be tough for her mum there either so for the sake of keeping peace and getting along she knocked and asked things before she did them though today, right then she was hardly sure what she wanted to do. Nicky was coming to hate life, hate the fact that life meant her uncles were dropping out of her life. Two family members lost because of what they did and worse yet two people who she loved that she would never see again. Nicky looked up as she heard someone moving around. “Hank here?” She asked not sure if it was a good or bad thing but then given that Jamie had only fuelled her desire to join the police academy, someone had to calm her mother down when she knew the hitting the ceiling was the least of her worries. She could feel her stomach rumble upon hearing the words parmesan chicken. Her world was falling apart and she was hungry, where was the justice she wondered trying to figure out if she was too upset to eat or not as upset as she should have been if she did. Nicky was trying her best not to be a complete mess and yet even with Erin running a hand through her hair all she could do was deny what was going on because it was too painful to think about. The truth, that promise had been made so long ago and now she hardly cared if her mum was lying because at least it meant Jamie was alive. “I don’t want the truth, I want uncle Jamie back, he has to come back.” She said pleading again, “I wanted him to be there when I graduate academy, to see that I can be just as good as him.” Nicky had thought about it for a long time, her grandfather on the stage talking to her class of graduates from the police academy and her entire family on the front row. Now in her prefect day there was one space missing and that broke her heart. Erin "Lou" Voight,

One of these days Nicky would understand that she was free to do things without asking permission in the house. If she wanted to lounge on the couch and eat ice cream she very much doubted that Hank would mind. Erin led Nicky to the couch to go sit. She knew this was hard on her daughter it was hard on everyone.
"Yeah, he's upstairs" Right like Hank was going to leave Erin alone at a time like this. Erin was lucky he wasn't hovering over her. Erin could feel her stomach churning. When Nicky went through this much hurt, it always made Erin sick to her stomach. Erin needed to go check on dinner. "I'm going to check on dinner. You can join me in the kitchen or stay out here either way" she offered.
Though Nicky was hardly ready to leave her side and she could tell as they moved into the kitchen. Erin was reaching a plate down from the cabinet when Nicky mentioned Academy. Dropping the plate she turned quickly to face her daughter. Face paling. "You can't honestly!" her voice wasn't angry but it was loud. "Academy? Nicky what are you thinking?" She grabbed at the counter behind her.
Erin felt sick all over again. She was on the same page as Linda. Hadn't the Reagans given enough? Erin wanted to go and pace. "Did your boyfriend put this idea in your head?" she knew it wasn't the case. Nicky had wanted to be a cop since.. Academy that was right around the corner. Erin was still trying to process things. This had to be that Nicky was pulling a Jamie. This is exactly what Jamie had done when Joe died in the line of duty. Threw away his law school to be a cop. "Do you even realize what you are saying right now?" her voice was in disbelief more than anger. Fear more than being upset or disappointed in Nicky.
Tagged Hank in like we talked about since Erin is being so loud.

Being led to the couch all she could think about was the things she wanted to tell Jamie, stupid little things that she had put off. She could call him next week or go visit in two weekend’s time and now all of that was gone. All the possibilities were ended because of a gun and a bad guy, why was it always their family that had to pay the price? Nicky remembered when she had been shot and she only hoped for Jamie it would have been quick. No pain, just whatever came after that. Nicky looked up to the ceiling expecting to see Hank there though she knew the man would be hovering around somewhere. It was the one thing was glad of; he was there for her mum when she needed him to be unlike her own father. At the mention of dinner Nicky nodded to Erin, “Sure I can join.” She said not wanting to be on her own because that meant that things might be true, if she was there then Jamie might walk through the door because that was where the family was. Once they were in the kitchen Nicky made her future intentions clear and instead of what she had imagined her mother dropped a plate and turned around quickly to face her. It was the fastest that she had seen Erin move in a while though the pale face that went with it, Nicky was sure this certainly was far from a proud moment for her. Nicky winced at the loudness of her mother’s voice; well if Hank missed that then he was going deaf for sure. “I’m thinking I’m going to be a cop mum, seriously why are you being so loud?” She asked just as loudly. At the mention of her boyfriend Nicky rolled her eyes, “Yeah, and he also told me to do drugs and skip school and every other thing you don’t agree with mum. Yeah blame the boyfriend.” She snapped not meaning to but she was trying to do the right thing. Being a cop was something she had always wanted to do and once she finished university it was only a few months if not less before she could apply. Someone had to carry on the Reagan name and Danny could hardly keep it up himself. The disbelief in her mother’s voice hurt, she had always wanted to be a cop. The first female Reagan cop and now her mother was acting as if she had just killed someone. “Yes I know exactly what I’m saying; I am going to be a cop mum. Do exactly the same as Henry, Grandpa, Danny, Joe and Jamie because it’s what I want to do. I want you to be proud of me and you’re acting like... like this.” She said trying not to be angry but with everything else that was going on she was angry with a lot of things though not her mother. Hank had been upstairs doing all the things that Erin usually did though beyond cooking Hank wasn’t having her lift a finger. It was practically impossible though with Nicky’s arrival he hoped that she would manage to distract her mother to at least keep her mind of the worst part of the day. There wasn’t getting over a family death and yet as a cop it was that much worse. There was no natural cause it was sudden and brutal and the very thing no cop family wanted to happen to them. He was minding his own when he heard the plate followed by the loud voice. At first it made no sense what was being said until he heard the word academy. Then it made as much sense to him as anything else that day. Hank waited for a moment before he made his way down stairs and into the kitchen. There was something about a boyfriend, realizing what was said, drugs and then he managed to show his face at the moment that Nicky said she was going to be a cop. Well this wasn’t exactly the best day to drop that but from what Hank understood it was what she had always wanted.
He made a point to slowly move over to Erin as he smiled at Nicky. “Your mum is proud, it’s just been a tough day.” He said trying to play at the mediator which was a new thing for him. Usually he was the one losing it and Erin was trying to calm him down or defuse something. Hank glanced toward Erin for a moment as he reached out an arm to put around her. “If it’s what Nicky wants Lou, she’d be the best protected cop in the city.” He said trying to think of any reason to stand by Nicky on her choice. He couldnt argue that being a cop was a great job, the Reagan’s had suffered enough but then if two deaths hadn’t put her off then there wasn’t going to be much to sway her he thought.

Erin felt sick to her stomach. Jamie had said the same thing. Erin had always been proud of Nicky. She'd always supported anything she wanted to do but she was still in shock. Erin had nothing to say. No words were coming now. It wasn't worth arguing over. Erin just wanted her to think about the decision she was making. The Reagans they sacrificed so much. Biting her lip she still tried to find the words.
"I can't lose you too Nicky" she managed out. So she was being a momma bear. The paled tone remained as Erin bent down to start cleaning the shattered plate off the floor. Brushing them into the dust pan before someone stepped on them. "I just want you to be sure to be safe.." was that so much to ask? Did it have to start a fight? Jamie had made one lapse in judgment... ONE. Joe had made more than a few but Erin knew that was all it took.
“Your mum is proud, it’s just been a tough day.” Hank was right.. this was a terrible day to drop the news. She could only follow it up with "he's right." It wasn't that she disagreed with Nicky, just that even Hank going to work right now would have Erin scared out of her mind. Much like when the brothers left for work in the wake of Joe's death. A little piece of her mentally cringed. This was not happening.
“If it’s what Nicky wants Lou, she’d be the best protected cop in the city.” The rational side of Erin knew that. Hank kept his own daughters on a tight leash, she had a feeling he'd do the same with Nicky. Also there weren't too many cops who wanted to be on the bad side of the State's attorney. Erin could only nod. "I know.. I just.." she felt like losing it.
"It's just hard to worry about whose walking into the front door and coming home every night." Nicky was still her little girl who had nightmares after Danny had taken her to a crime scene when he was supposed to be babysitting. But a part of Erin knew Nicky was practically already an adult and that was even harder not to play helicopter parent. Erin wiggled away from Hank and just put her arms around her daughter and hugged her. Wanting to apologize and not knowing what to say to fix things right now was hard. She just rubbed Nicky's back softly. "I'm sorry" were the only words she could formulate. Erin was still not okay but she was proud of Nicky and she did respect her decisions. Erin had no fight in her for this, even if she wanted to fight it. On top of that, there was no fighting the both of them.

Had her mother lost her senses? Nicky waited to hear anything from her though the silence hurt more than she let on. Why was it alright for Jamie to do this after Joe and now she was doing it for Joe, Jamie, Danny, Frank and Henry suddenly there was a great issue over it. She was capable of making her own choices and doing her own thing, it was why she had gone to university, why she had done every class imaginable through school and now her mother wanted to give her a silent treatment. “You’re not going to lose me mum; I just want to give back. To make the family proud, make you proud.” She said trying to explain her choice, being a lawyer was far too. There were too many files and red tape issues to cross, she saw how her mother would battle the rest of the family at the dinner table and she just wanted to be the first female Reagan cop. “Really mum, come on. I’d have a gun and a baton, pepper spray and an army of cops too. I’d be safer there than at uni.” She said as if there was hardly a contest in it. Then low and behold Hank appeared, Nicky was ready with an argument for both of them why she was going to be a cop. Though when he said her mother was proud she was half way to fixing him with a glare before she stopped as Erin followed it up. “Tough day, my uncle’s dead. My second uncle that I don’t have any more.” She said still angry about it, that was more than just a tough day she thought but then if that was what super angry cop classified it as then it was good enough. Nicky glared at Hank as she pointed her finger at him, “Now you listen to me, it’s what I want to do...” She snapped before she realised that for the first time ever he was actually on her side. “Thanks, Hank.” She said. Nicky eyed him cautiously for a moment before she grinned at Erin triumphantly. “Yes mum, even Hank agrees with me.” She said happy for the first time that she actually appreciated having the man on her side and not dragging her back to a house to get shot like last time. “You worry too much mum; Uncle Danny has managed to escape any bad luck so I’ll just take after him.” She stated deciding that Danny had been the lucky one so far to still be there. With her mother hugged her she just hugged her mum back. “I’m sorry too.” She said knowing it had been the worst time to drop the issue of joining the academy. “Maybe Hank isn’t all that bad after all.” She whispered into her ear, especially not if he was siding with her over things but then how much of that was because he was a cop. Hank tried to smile but he had a lot of practice with two daughters both being cops, the worry never left but the feeling of being insanely proud took over pretty quick. It wasn’t that he wasn’t scared every single day they were working but then he trusted them to know what to do, even if Sharon seemed to think she could taken on an army single handed. Erin knew already what he did for Erin and Sharon and if Nicky wanted to join the CPD too then he would make sure that every single cop knew he was to be looked after.
Even if it meant him dropping a few threats here and there, if it kept Erin’s mind at rest that her daughter was safe then Hank would do it. He would even take to looking after her himself if he needed to, then again Nicky seemed like the sort of cop that might not find trouble. If she was half as sensible as she had been since he knew her, then again she had snuck out of the house when they were supposed to be inside. No, safer to think she had a lot of common sense like her mother and wouldnt do anything stupid.
Hank held his hands up slightly when Nicky snapped, “I’m on your side here kid.” He said as he looked toward Erin for a moment, “She can make take one of us down but if we stick together, we will go far.” Hank said grinning at Nicky for a moment before he decided to look back to Erin to see if he was on the couch. It wasn’t as if he was changing Nicky’s mind because the girl seemed set on it but he had a plan to keep her out of trouble.
“You know i’ll make sure she’s looked after.” Hank said to Erin reassuringly, yes looked after was code for full blown threat assessment on everything. The same thing he did for Sharon and Erinm even down to the tracking of Nicky just to make sure that Erin’s mind was at peace that she knew where she was all the time.
That much her could make sure Erin knew. Hank looked at Nicky when she said she was going to take after Danny Reagan, now that was more worrying to him than her joining the CPD. Hank leaned back against the counter as he watched the two of them hug. At least they weren’t arguing he thought which was a step considering the day had gone to hell faster than he could have imagined. The timing on that announcement might have been better but then another Reagan as a cop, it would make for a fun CPD for the future he thought.

Erin Reagan Voight Erin often found Nicky to be difficult when things went to hell in a hand basket. What was with kids these days? Though it didn't change the fact she worried. It was easy for Hank not to worry about his girls too much, they worked right under his nose. Though she had no doubt he would do the same with Nicky. Erin sighed and looked between the two. There was no way she could fit both. "Okay Okay" she gave in but all it did was open flood gates of worry in the back of her mind.
Not going to lose her? That's what Jamie had told her the day he graduated law school. Erin tried to push that out of the way. Yeah every other cop had those things too, and look at the death rate in cops. Though now was hardly the time to point that out. It didn't keep them from being shot or burned alive, or any other number of things that Erin prosecuted everyday.
When Nicky went off on Hank, Erin put a hand on the girl's shoulder. Though she didn't say anything, there was no need to jump into everything. Though Erin hardly liked how she spoke to Hank. Though there was a pass for anger in the house, it had to go somewhere. Erin gave Hank an apologetic look but Nicky settled down soon enough. It wasn't that Erin was giving her the silent treatment she just couldn't process things well enough.
Right Hank and Nicky sticking together. She could live with that as long as it meant Hank was watching out for Nicky. Ruzek had been taken out of academy straight into intelligence; so she knew if Hank really wanted to pull strings he could. Erin reached one arm out and pulled Hank towards her other side. Sometimes it was really hard being in a family of cops. "Just promise me the two of you will look out for each other." She knew Hank would understand that she was trying to build Nicky up, rather than down. Not that Hank couldn't handle things his way.
Though maybe Nicky would be more open to Hank having her back if she thought she was also doing the same? Putting a little guided trust into her daughter's hands couldn't be so bad. Though would Nicky listen to Hank if he laid down how things went at work? Would she trust his instincts, experience, and decisions. That she couldn't be so sure of right now. Erin just hugged them both close. If something happened to them... she had no clue what she would do. Why did every Voight and Reagan decide they wanted to be a cop. All of them except Erin of course.

Nicky hardly wanted people to worry but it was what she did, when things went wrong she was difficult but things always seemed to go wrong for their family. Never had she thought she would only have one uncle left but if becoming a cop could protect him, her mother, her grandfather and great grandfather then it was worth any risk to herself. “See mum, even Hank agrees... wait until I tell Grandpa and Henry and Danny.” She said with a grin, at least Erin was accepting of it though between the two of them it was easy to see that there was no winning this one at all. Looking at her mum when she had snapped at Hank, well it was hardly the best day any of them were having and she expected him to take her mother’s side. She was still unsure why he was taking hers but she was hardly likely to argue her mums case for him. No they were all capable of that and after all she was the daughter of a lawyer, arguing was in her blood. Nicky was about to apologise to Hank when she grinned hearing what he said, on her side and sticking together they would go far. In this cases he was stuck with him on it because there was no changing her mind on it at all. “Yeah, think we can overturn a lot of the rules?” Nicky asked Hank, “Takes a decent guy to stand up to mum. You’re not too bad but a bit weird.” She was trying to get along with the man without actually saying she appreciated him sticking up for her or at the very least get along for her mum’s sake. Nicky hugged her mum though she made sure to keep on the other side to Hank as she nodded. “You mean you’d actually trust me to do that mum?” Nicky asked grinning; looking after Hank yeah like that was going to ever happen. The man was a trouble magnet and she was sure given what had been said already people could disappear for annoying him. What was she supposed to do, threaten to arrest people when she was sure he would kill them if given half the chance. With that in mind Nicky agreed as she decided just to set her own ground rules for things from the start. “I’ll look out for you Hank but no funny stuff, no annoying me, embarrassing me, pulling strings or anything like that. It’s going to be tough enough with my last name.” She said knowing that Jamie had struggled at times with the Reagan name being attached. “You either mum, when I do this I want this to be my experience, not sheltered or desk duty because I can do this.” She stated wanting both their words on it as she stared between the two of them. Academy was going to be fun though once she got out of that, then she knew it changed because of the family history. Did she get the job because she could or because she was related to? Was she qualified to be a cop or simply given a badge and a desk with a title. She wanted to be the best that she could be and earn every badge she wore without the help of a name or a Sergeant that she knew. Erin "Lou" Voight, Henry 'Hank' Voight,
