Jay chuckled a bit as Erin stated that his question of who she wanted as witnesses was a more loaded question than his proposal and that she was going to let him decide. "Voight for one," he said. She and Voight were close and she would want him there, he was sure of it. "Look, I know you guys are in a bad place right now, but I also know that he's been there for you since you were a kid. You've told me this," he said. "Or, we could ask Mouse and his girlfriend," he suggested. Just want to marry her, he thought to himself.

| W hen he said Voight she shook her head no and quickly. 'I don't want him here.' she thought to herself. It would be nothing but Hank unloading on Jay more than likely and she wasn't about let that happen. Erin looked sort of out of it for a moment. After the way he'd treated her, what made Jay think that Voight deserved to be here? Erin wasn't ready to let Voight back in. No way. No how.
Voight might have been there for her when she was younger and that didn't go unweighted, she just wished she was allowed to be happy. Maybe she could fix things later, but right now no. No way. And she certainly wasn't going to try right now. Taking him by the hands she barely heard him. "Mouse has a girlfriend?" she seemed to be the last one to know about everything. "I mean yeah, he's your best friend" she pointed out with a smile. Mouse could be sworn into not telling, that she was sure of.

And from the looks of it, she wasn't happy with the idea of Voight being there. Which, yeah, he kinda expected, even though he had suggested him, but he had figured it was at least worth a shot. When she repeated that Mouse had a girlfriend, he grinned and nodded as she agreed, saying that he was his best friend. "He is," he confirmed. "I love you," he said, giving her a soft smile. He really did and he could wait until she was his wife. So lucky, he thought. How had he gotten so lucky?
He then smiled at her. "Everything will work out," he assured her. Gonna have to apologize to Voight. Definitely, he thought to himself. He knew better than to go off on a superior, but he had gotten pissed after Erin had started crying and his protective instincts had flared up, overriding his common sense. Not that he was regretting sticking up for Erin. It was just that he could've done it in a more constructive way that didn't include pissing off his boss.

| E rin slide Jay's phone out of his back pocket, not caring in the slightest that she wasn't keeping her hands to herself. Kissing Jay smiling. "I love you too" she mumbled through their kisses before handing him his phone. "You should call him then" she replied quietly but was stuck back to his lips again.
Hearing his assurance she nodded. Knowing somewhere that deep down if Voight cared he would let her be happy. Jay kept her safe and happy, that much Erin was sure of and what more could her father figure really ask for? She wasn't going to think about that now though. She was a little preoccupied with someone else who was right in front of her. Snuggling up on Jay with her head on his shoulder.

Jay smiled at Erin as she stated that she loved him too, quirking a brow at her when she reached over to his back pocket and pulling out his phone, saying that he should call Voight before kissing him again. "Mmm....definitely," he murmured. And he would. Just as soon as she stopped giving him kisses that drove him wild. Yeah, like that was ever going to happen.
As she snuggled up to him, he went to put his arm around her and went to kiss the top of her head. "It will all work out," he promised. "He loves you. That will never change." This he knew for sure. Hell, Voight had probably told Erin that he wasn't good enough for her, which was true, but he honestly didn't know what he'd do without her. Hopefully, he'd never have to find out. Okay, time to give Mouse a call, he thought to himself. With that, he went to his contacts, scrolled down to where his friend's number. Hopefully, he didn't kill him for springing this on him...

| E rin was completely wrapped up in Jay's kisses. Suddenly, the fact they were in Wisconsin was the best thing ever. Okay so score one for Jay. She listened to Jay try and talk sense into her. Though he was right. Erin knew it. She mentally made a note to go see Hank when they got back in town. She moved her head space to the present as he got on the phone with Mouse.
Erin wrapped one arm around Jay's back and rested her head on his shoulder. She'd had no idea that Mouse was even up in Wisconsin but it explained a lot of why Jay had been BEGGING her to go. Erin just laid on Jay's shoulder curious how this conversation was going to go. Mouse couldn't get upset for surprise notice could he? Then again she had no idea how he felt about surprises.

Jay was silent as he waited for the phone to stop ringing. "Lo?" he heard a few moments later. "Hey, uh...need you." "Cop thing, soldier thing, or---" "Best man thing." Jay quirked an eyebrow as the statement was followed by silence. "Greg?" he asked after a moment. "Are you drunk? Is this like the time you were in that bar and---" "No. And I'm forever grateful you put a stop to that. Let's not talk about that ever again. Now are you gonna come here or not?" "Of course I'm coming." "Good see you then." He rattled off the address and then turned to her and went to kiss her. "This is going to be great." Can't wait. Love her so much, he thought to himself. It was amazing how deep he loved her. He had never thought he would ever find someone.
"You're amazing, you know that?" he whispered. Don't know what I'd do without her, he thought to himself. How had he gotten so lucky? It didn't make any sense. He didn't deserve her and he knew that. He was a mess. Why would she want someone who was such a damn mess? That was something that he'd never understand. However, he was glad that she hadn't ever given up on him, not even when she and the rest of the team had been wondering if he had killed Lonnie Rodiger. Looking back, he could see how his actions had made him seem guilty, but he had been so full of rage back then. But things were better now. They were way better. He had a team he could rely on, great friends to hang out with, and he was about to marry the love of his life. There was nothing better than that. So happy, he thought to himself. This was the right thing to do. Granted, he would've preferred to give her a better wedding with Voight walking her down the aisle, but maybe they could do that later. Yeah. He would do his best to make sure that all of her dreams came true.

| E rin was silent while Jay was on the phone though she had to admit she was tempted to burst out laughing at Jay's facial expressions. They were priceless. Silently clicking her camera off while he was on the phone. Though as soon as he hung up she was in the process of pocketing her phone into her back pocket. She kissed his lips "Mhmm but so are you" she rambled off after a moment.
Even if Jay was a mess, he was her mess and she wouldn't change anything about who he was because of what he had been through. Were there times she wished he hadn't had to go through his transgressions. Of course! So she just tried to help him, she supported him. You don't dwell on the past but it certainly does shape who you become. Stuff the dress and fluffy wedding, that was so not Erin's style. The clicking sound of the camera was heard from her pocket once more as she smirked at him.

Jay smiled as Erin said he was amazing. "I'm not actually," he corrected her. He was a freaking mess and if Voight ever found out, he'd be kicked out of Intelligence faster than he could blink. Which was why he had sworn Erin to secrecy about the therapy. He had found another family in Intelligence and he had no idea what he'd do if he lost it. Yeah, he wasn't going to let that happen if he could help it.
At the faint sound of a camera click, he quirked a brow at her. "Already taking pictures?" he teased. Honestly, he wouldn't be surprised. After all, they were about to get married. They just had to wait for Mouse. And depending on what he had interrupted, it would probably take a while. "And depending on what I interrupted when I called, they'll probably be here in about half an hour, knowing Mouse and depending on traffic," he stated. Was it bad that he knew that Mouse would probably try to sneak in a quickie? Oh great. If he continued down that line of thinking, it was going to get bad. Okay, he needed to forget what his mind had just conjured up. Unfortunately, that was easier said than done.

| J ust because someone had their demons did not make them a bad person, Erin knew that Brittany had been trying to sink that into his head too; but Erin also took up a portion of the responsibility. Jay was in all honesty worth every moment spent. "I'm not just making these things up." She reached up and kissed him wanting him to realise how much she cared about him. He'd dragged her all the way to Wisconsin for this. He might as well enjoy the weekend.
Erin started laughing when Jay continued down his train of thought about Mouse taking his sweet time. Erin played with his collar and took his hand, lacing her fingers with his. "Why don't we take a walk?" Maybe it would take the edge off the nerves. As they walked she rested her head on Jay's shoulder. Erin really was exhausted. She would not be opposed to spending the weekend relaxing away from everything. Erin wasn't hard to please, she just took a bit of finesse.

Jay shrugged as Erin said that she wasn't just making things up and then moaned as she began kissing him. Hot damn, he thought. Damn, she could get him all weak in the knees. How the hell did she do it? It was something that he had never understood and to be honest, he probably never would understand it. "Damn, Babe," he moaned. So happy, he thought to himself. He couldn't believe that he was so happy. He wasn't sure he deserved it. Not with everything he had gone through, the PTSD. But she was with him and not going anywhere, thank God.
At her suggestion of taking a walk, he nodded and led her out, smiling as she leaned against him. "How'd I get so lucky?" he wondered. Don't deserve her and I know it, he thought to himself. He was too much of a mess. But she kept him sane. Was it selfish of him to tie her down? He didn't know. He just knew that he loved her.
