"A Lamborghini, of course!" She laughed, then added, "Or maybe a Ferrari? I'm not picky!" Still grinning, she glanced at him, a little torn at him being really serious about buying her a car. She didn't want him to do quite so much for her, but then she knew that it made him happy to be sure his sisters were taken care of, and while her KIA was adequate around the city, it really was old and starting to become unreliable. "Honestly, I haven't thought much about it, but I don't need much...maybe something like a PT Cruiser or something?" She shrugged. "I mean, it has space if I ever need to get something sorta big, but it's easy to parallel park." She turned into the parking lot he had indicated and frowned, still not putting together the pieces of what 'Outdoor Adventures' meant. "Is this the right place?" Steven Hudson

“Oh so nothing too out there then, just those two? What about a Porsche?” He asked grinning, he wished he could get her something like that though maybe he would start with the ford and just swap the bonnet badge. Steven had taken care of his sister since their father passed and changing that was tough. He would do anything for either of them and he was sure that their father would have done too. If a car meant that Isla would make it home and not be stranded at the side of the road then that was worth any amount of money to him. “PT Cruiser it is then and what are you planning on moving that’s sorta big?” He asked smirking, “Someone you want to make disappear?” He asked curiously teasing her as he had to agree about the parking. Anything that could help he thought. Steven looked at the sign and then around the parking lot as he nodded. “Oh yeah, this is the right place.” He said grinning toward her, “Last chance to bow out of this?” He said wanting to give her the option once again before they began anything and got stranded half way along a zip line. “PT Cruiser it is then and what are you planning on moving that’s sorta big?” He asked smirking, “Someone you want to make disappear?”"How did you know?" She gave him a teasing look, then grinned. "Nah, that mess is in jail, right?" And would be for a while still, and Isla wasn't going to let her ex bother her when he did get out...she wasn't that timid girl any more. “Oh yeah, this is the right place.” He said grinning toward her, “Last chance to bow out of this?”"Zip-line adventure?" Isla's grin widened. "Awesome! I'm all in, and if something does happen to happen I have my paramedic god brother to rescue me, how much more could a girl want?" The parkour had helped her get into 'shape', although she wasn't buffed by any means, but it had given her strength and coordination, and besides a slight fear of heights, this was going to be fun! "Oh, and if you scream like a girl, I've never seen you before!" Steven Hudson

Steven raised his brow for a moment when she practically confirmed his hiding a body theory before he grinned. “That’s right, the mess is.” He said not wanting her to worry one bit over that guy at all. If it was the last thing he did it would be to make sure that Isla’s ex came nowhere near here, even if it got him suspended again or even jail he would do it. He could see for himself she had changed a lot between her ex and now. “You know I’d not let anything happen to you and he won’t come near you again I promise.” He said intending to keep it.
“Oh yeah, Zip line adventure.” He said with a grin, at least she seemed up for it rather than him having to drag her along with him. “Paramedic god, I like this already but you know I’d rescue you no matter what. Though if I get into trouble my amazing angle nurse Isla can come and rescue me.” He said with a smile.
Steven had never really been the in shape sort, he ran and exercise came in the form of lifting people and trolleys, stairs were a real killer on a call but then it added to his impromptu exercise regime. “Me scream like a girl... never!” He said as he laughed, “Don’t worry I’ll make sure they knew we’re related, I can scream ‘help me Isla my wonderful sister, save me’!” he said putting on his best girls voice which became a low pitched screeching sound.

“Paramedic god, I like this already but you know I’d rescue you no matter what. Though if I get into trouble my amazing angle nurse Isla can come and rescue me.” He said with a smile."Well, I'm not a nurse yet," she pointed out with a grin, "but I can sure record the heck out of the incident!" She laughed as she referred to her current occupation, working as a stenographer until she was finished with nursing school...another few months. “Me scream like a girl... never!” He said as he laughed, “Don’t worry I’ll make sure they knew we’re related, I can scream ‘help me Isla my wonderful sister, save me’!”Isla laughed, shaking her head. He had always had a way of making her laugh and he was forever mother-henning her, something she appreciated him for except for the few times he got just a little over-zealous. "I'll just tell them that you must be delirious," she laughed, "or I'll just cut the cable. But you know, there will be waivers to sign and emergency contacts to list...guess I can name good ol' Sis! You know, in case we both die in a tragic coincidence!" Steven Hudson

“Yet, but I don’t have any doubts that you will be a nurse.” He said with a smile, there was not a shred of doubt in his mind that Isla would become a nurse. She worked hard for it and it was slightly presumptuous but then he knew his sister. “But yeah, no recording it because I’ve a reputation to uphold. You know street cred, down with the kids and all.” He said trying out his best cool pose though it was far from it, it had been a long time since he had been a kid even if he acted like he was nine years old at times. When it came to his family he knew he could be a pain, he meant well but like most things he could be over-zealous. Still he enjoyed making her laugh and if being mother hen was one of those things he did too then at least she could laugh while he was doing that. Laughter was the best medicine, he was convinced at that though medically proving it. He was a paramedic for a reason, the big doctor and nurse questions in life were up to them to solve. “You mean you’d really tell them that and cut the cable?” He asked as he pretended to wipe a tear from his eyes. “So at least I know where I stand with you today. Cut the cable pfft.” He said with a grin as he nudged her. It made sense if they were in that position and if it meant him taking a fall so she could be safe, it was a fair trade in his head. If it came to it and she did not do that then Steven knew he would do it for her. He had seen that movie, climbers on the end of a rope and one has to go. It made logical sense even if it was tough to do. “Both die, no never. You need to live to get your new car and I need to live so I can tease you about your car.” He stated though naming their sister was a good idea, not that he expected to die but then just in case of a coincidence. He was starting to wonder if it was such a good idea to be spontaneous and adventurous for the day. Isla Hudson,

"I don't even have it yet, and you're dis-ing my car?" Isla rolled her eyes as she got out of his car and handed him the keys. "Just for that I'm going to paint it pink and put ribbons or something on it!" Oh, there were ways that she could drive him nuts, that was sure, and she wasn't adverse to using those if she had to! For now he was safe, but if he pushed her... "I guess I have to keep you alive until I get that car," she sighed, but then she suddenly brightened. "Or...if something happens to you, I can just take your car! Yeah...that'd work, get it reupholstered in paisley, paint it magenta...get one of those bobbing-headed dogs for the dash...oh, and a lavender-scented air freshener!" She looked up at him. "So, good! No worries if you fall, then! But, um, give me the keys back!" She held out her hand. Steven Hudson,

Steven smirked and nodded to her, “Yeah I guess I am.” He said as he took the keys from her though when she mentioned about painting it pink he winced. “Ewwww, pink and ribbons. So you really don’t need to give me a lift anywhere, it’s totally your car.” He teased though if he had to appear in her pink ribbon car he would be the body in the boot gladly.
He was well aware that his sister had all the ammunition she needed to drive him nuts and yes the thought of a pink car; it was a good start to that. There was no one else that could have said that to him that he would have believed more than Isla.
“See, I’m worth keeping alive just for that.” He teased though the minute she brightened he wondered what she was going to say. Steven looked at his car with a horrified face; no she could never do that to his darling of car. “You know Isla I wonder about you sometimes, my car is beautiful just the way it is. Magenta would never suit such a wonderful car.” He said as he scowled at her for a moment, there were no nodding dogs or dice or reupholstering in paisley going near his car.
He reached into his pocket and held out the keys for her over her head for a moment, “Make it through this and I will go get you your car straight after, might even throw in the pink but only if you finish this alive.” He said dropping the keys to her eye level, well he hardly wanted her to find trouble on the zip wire but then thinking she was going to drive her car in the next few days. No, it was much safer to simply get her one when he could than wait until her exams were done with.

"Hey, no fair making fun of the vertically challenged!" Isla called as she tired to jump and grab the keys, "that's just mean!" As he lowered the keys, she looked up at him and shrugged. "Oh, I'll survive, all right, don't worry on that!" Laughing, she headed toward the staging area, where they were greeted by a guide. They were given the safety spiel, then suited up in the harness, gloves and helmets. Glancing at Steven, she commented, "You guys have the heavy-duty helmets? He looks like he has a hard head, but it's really pretty soft!" Grinning, she stuck out her tongue at him, finding the teasing a good distraction from the butterflies that were starting to form in her stomach. Sure, she was excited to do this, but that didn't make her feel a little bit of trepidation at the adventure. Steven Hudson

Steven chuckled watching her trying to jump and grab the keys. It reminded him of when they were kids but then it was still just as much fun. “Not mean, I’m protecting the life span of my car.” He teased not minding one bit being called mean for that. “I’d never worry about that, I’ve every faith that you will.” He said with a grin as he followed her toward the staging area where the guide greeted them. Well all he could hope was that this was fun and not as tough as it appeared to be. He listened to the safety spiel and the practically if you break anything they were not liable, always fun to get that out of the way. Steven pretended to glare at Isla before he stuck his tongue out right back at her. “Yeah, just like yours. Runs in the family. We’re related. She got the good looks in the family.” He said with a grin as he motioned to Isla, at least now if anything did happen they at least people knew she could hardly just leave him dangling from a rope and pretend like he was that crazy person from three streets over. Not that he thought she would but, just to be on the safe side. Isla Hudson,

"Yeah, well, that's because they adopted me!" she shot back, grinning and nudging him in the chest. This was the fun of it...the banter...and it was what really solidified their relationship. It was this sort of tie that she knew she wanted with a 'universal companion', if that ever happened, and the lack of that affinity was something, she knew looking back, that was a glaring clue that Jerkface had not been right for her. And she knew that when she found that with another man it would mean something. She nudged her brother again when the guide asked who wanted to go first. It was just the lower, much shorter 'training line', so they could get used to the feel of gliding and braking. "You go," she whispered, "that way I have someone soft to land on!" Not that this part was at all scary, it was only about ten feet off the ground, but still... Steven Hudson

Steven glanced at Isla for a moment when she shot back about being adopted, yeah no he’d been in the house when the new baby came back from the hospital and he had also hidden under the pillow to get some sleep when she refused to sleep as a baby too. He nudged her back chuckling, “Either way, still related adopted or not. Can still take you back, it’s a rule they have.” He teased her though honestly there was never a time when he wanted rid of either of his sisters. They were far too much fun. It was nice to have banter with someone and Steven just hoped he could be lucky enough to find the other half that had the same way about them. Then again with the family track record of how things went he was unsure if it was just a Hudson curse that they were destined to just be themselves for life. Funny that when she nudged him again the guide was asking who was going first and his adventure for the day suddenly became real. “Yeah yeah, at least you live right.” He said with a grin as he stepped forward and managed to get kitted up for the ten foot wire, when he looked down it was lower than some of the ladders they used at the fire house as he grinned. “Come on Isla, it’s not that bad... just remember don’t look down.” He offered grinning as he pushed off from the platform as instructed though his wheeeeee was uninstructed as he waved for Isla to follow. For a moment Isla watched her brother, then took a breath and nodded to the guide, who hooked her onto the line then gave her a 'thumb's-up'. She returned the nod, took a breath, then pushed off, biting her lower lip as she slid along the line, but by the time she reached the platform where Steven was waiting, she was grinning from ear to ear. "That was a blast!" she declared. Of course, the ground was only a few feet away and the 'real' lines were through the tree-tops, from hillside to hillside, much longer and faster. But she'd do it -- she was sure she'd probably enjoy it -- in fact, she was determined to. She hadn't had a problem with heights as a kid, had wanted to learn to fly, but Jerkface had ruined that for her and what better way to get back at him than to overcome this fear? "So, you want to go first again," she asked Steven, "or do you want me to go so I can catch you on the other side?" Steven Hudson

Steven watched her, it was nice to see her doing something different and out of her comfort zone though watching her he still was glad when she reached the platform in one piece. He hardly wanted to explain to the family why he had managed to injure his sister after or during a day out. It her was grin he noticed as he grinned back at her glad she enjoyed it. “See, glad we came or do you want to go back to studying?” He asked her though really what could be better, danger and adventure over studying that was a choice any day though at least this way there were safety lines just in case. He laughed when she asked about who was going first again. “Since you brought it up, you can go first since you enjoyed the last one so much. That way I can get some pictures and prove that you can fly whenever you want to.” He said grinning knowing that jerkface had messed up a lot for her but he was glad she was coming back around to herself again. “And yeah that way you can catch me on the other side when I scream like a girl.” He said as he nudged her lightly as he chuckled. “See, glad we came or do you want to go back to studying?”"Walking on hot coals sounds better than studying!" she declared with a grin, although hot coals was something she'd never do. And, as far as her studies, she was pretty much at that point of, 'If you don't know it yet, you're not going to'. And she did believe that there was such a thing as too much studying! “Since you brought it up, you can go first since you enjoyed the last one so much. That way I can get some pictures and prove that you can fly whenever you want to.” He said grinning knowing that jerkface had messed up a lot for her but he was glad she was coming back around to herself again. “And yeah that way you can catch me on the other side when I scream like a girl.” "All right, then." Taking a breath, she adjusted her helmet then nodded to the guide, who hooked her onto the line. Even though she tried not to look down there was no way to deny how high they were now, and that made her hesitate. But finally she muttered, "Wish me luck," then pushed off from the platform, letting out a little shriek as she tried to remember everything -- legs extended, crossed at the ankles, dominant hand on the line to control speed and other hand on the harness...not too fast, but have fun! She was just starting to relax and enjoy the ride when she reached the far platform. Well, at least there were still four more lines for her to really get a feel for the experience. Once she was unhooked from that line, she turned to watch her brother, giving him a 'thumbs up'. Steven Hudson
