"Oh, well, he can get by with the blame," Mattie chuckled, reaching to scratch the dog's big head, "I mean, after all, look at those big eyes, and the truth is in the eyes, right?" She laughed, then yawned. "I'd ask you to spend the night, but the sleeping bag is in the hall closet and I don't want to wake up Mom." It was a joke of course, and a sort of nice way to say it was time to call it a day. "Been a long day," she added, "busy, too, but..." shrugging, she smiled, "while part of it wasn't fun, I'm glad it was us, and I'm glad we were there...I hate to think what would have happened. And I'm not sure I believe in coincidences so much as a Supreme Being...God, Allah, Fate...whatever you want to call it." Even the simple circumstances of their meeting had been little more than two people having breakfast, but look where it had led...She had someone who was an actual adult friend, someone who's company she was enjoying, and who was putting up with her idiosyncrasies. 'Fate' could be a good thing! Kev Allison,

[googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] MIND YOUR MANNERS and tell the truth Kev just chuckled as he glanced at Koda, the truth really was in the dogs eyes which could be said for most humans too. He guessed it was why jury’s knew when someone was lying through their teeth, then again they knew when lawyers were trying to spin things or had no case so the system worked to a point.
“Hey no worries, I will take my behind back down the wall and leave you be for the evening.” Kev said knowing it was getting late and he needed to go anyway. “I believe in Fate too, what it meant to be wont pass you by.” He stated smiling as he got up out of the chair. “It’s been a great day so thank you Mattie.”
With that Kev went over to the window again, climbing back down where he had gone previously before waving and heading back to his car. It was a day he wasnt going to forget very easily at all and one that he was sure would stick with him for a long time coming.
THE END.
