Jason nodded in reply when Rachel said that to him. "You're most welcome sis" he said to her. "You know that your always welcome here." he added while standing there and watched her. Jason always enjoyed it when he visited family or they came to see him, Shani and the kids. He knew that the kids enjoyed it more then him, knowing that his and Rachel's parents loved to be grandparents. Jason was thankful everyday that the was able to do that for them.

At the same time, he knew that Shani loved being a parent the most between the two of them. He and her would do anything to keep the kids safe.

Rachel smiled and nodded, “Well thanks still and I mean that.” She said as she grinned, always welcome well that was nice to know. She knew she would drop by a lot and stick her nose through the door just to see that everyone was alright. It was good fun to have people around and Rachel knew that Jason, Shani and the kids were welcome any time just like her parents were or really any of the family was.

“So any cases recently that you need a hand with?” She asked him, not that she thought for one minute that he couldnt do his job but she was interesting to know what he was up to and had been up to recently. “Or any odd ones that you can tell me about?” she asked curiously.

Jason nodded in reply when Rachel said that to him. "Well, there is the young woman from the University of Chicago who contacted me a while back." he said to his sister. It was clear by the way he spoke that he was worried about the young woman. "She only told me that she was in trouble, but I haven't been able to get a hold of her sence." he added off the cuff. Ice sensed that something was wrong and walked over to Jason, sitting next to him once there.

Jason looked down to Ice and pet him, then looked back to his sister. The worry was clear in his eyes as he stood there with his sister.

Rachel listened to Jason talk about the woman from the university. She could hear in his voice that he was worried about her and if her brother thought there was something to worry about then she hadn’t come across a case where that was untrue. Rachel smiled when Ice went over to Jason. “Well I can take a look around and see if she’s on campus or if you’ve an address we can take a look tomorrow?” She offered trying to be helpful, she could always pick up an extra shift and try to find out what was going on.

“Probably nothing to worry about Jason.” She said trying to ease his worry any way she could. “Did she say what trouble it was she might be in?” Rachel asked just wanting to be sure about a few things then again the what might be too easy.

Jason nodded a bit, "She said something about one of the guys on the basketball team harrsing her." he said in reply, remembering the conversation as he spoke to his sister. "I doubt she is faking it as she was very rattled when I spoke to her." he added, thankful that the kids weren't listening at the moment.

Jason glanced over to them as they played, then looked back to Rachel, a slight sigh leaving his lips at the same time. "I'm going to stop by and check on her the next time I'm on patrol." he said off the cuff.

Rachel nodded as she remembered the basketball team when she was at school, always thought they were the best was her memory. “I don’t know her but I trust you on it, I can see given the sport that it’s likely.” She replied glad that the little ears in the house were out of ear shot. Rachel heard him sigh as she smiled, “If you check on her then I will too next time I’m on patrol too. Between the two of us we should managed to get something done.” She said hopefully.

It wasn’t good to have to go through school like that and if they could help Rachel was more than happy to do her part of it too. “Point me in the direction of who to harass on the basketball team and I will ticket them as often as possible.” She added knowing that she would do just that to help out.

Jason nodded in reply when Rachel said that. "I'll have Ice with me...Sigmund Freud noticed that the people who came to see him were more relaxed and willing to open up when his dog Jo-Fi was around." he said off the cuff. He had seen that on more then one occasion when talking to a witness or victim. At the same time, he also saw hardened suspect break down in fear when Ice came running and tackled them with all his weight.

As he said that to Rachel, Ice walked over and sat with them, wagging his tail at the same time. Jason looked down and smiled a little, then pet him behind the ears again.

Rachel listened to Jason as he spoke about Sigmund Freud, she was impressed by how much he knew but then he knew a lot. “I don’t doubt it, just promise me you’ll be careful because well every single obvious reason.” She said not wanting to go all mushy on him but then he would know what she meant. Rachel watched as Ice walked over and sat with them wagging his tail.

Rachel looked at Ice, “You remember to look after him.” She said pointing to Jason before she looked at Jason, “And you remember to look after him.” She said as she pointed to ice. “Sigmund Freud have a saying for annoying the basket ball students?” Rachel asked with a grin.

Jason looked over when Rachel said that to him, knowing what she ment by that. "I'm always careful and no he didn't." he replied, smirking a little when he said that to his sister. Ice barked in reply to Rachel's comment, as if he was saying 'I will' to her. Jason watched him do that, knowing that Ice was loyal and would protect him just as much as he would protect Ice.

That wasn't lost on Shani and his parents. Jason knew that each of them were thankful that he had Ice with him and that he used common sence when on the job, not doing anything stupid when on patrol.

Rachel nodded, the worst thing she could ever think of was hearing that call over the radio. Worst still that Shani was a paramedic if depending on where Jason was she could respond to it not knowing. Rachel had never thought that she would be that worried person but then she knew her brother was careful. “Good boy.” She said patting Jason’s head for a moment as she grinned at Ice. “Good luck Ice.” She said as she patted his head too.

“You know between the two of you, I think you need code names like Starsky and Hutch?” She offered with a grin thoughtfully as she looked between the two of them. “The great cop duo.” She added still grinned at him.

Jason watched Rachel as she pet Ice, then made her comment about code names. He couldn't help but smile a little when she said that to him. "Us having code names...the guys at the station would have a field day with that." he said lightly while Ice looked up to him, barking softly at the same time. Jason looked at him when he did. "Oh, you wouldn't want a code name then?" he asked.

Ice whined softly in reply, as if he was telling Jason no. Jason shook his head a little when he did that. "Is that so Ice?" he asked while looking at him, trying to keep a straight face at the same time.

Rachel smirked, “Maybe with you but me, they wouldnt dare say a word about it.” So she knew he was right as she grinned at him hearing Ice bark softly. Honestly the two of them she thought, they were going to get a code name if it was the last thing she did. “How about Starsky and Hutch?” She teased lightly though there was a whole list of them running through her head by that point.

“Ice so agrees with me on this one Jason.” She said looking at Ice encouragingly as if to ask him to take her side though she knew it was a long shot at best. “We could get you matching outfits, I’m sure mum would knit you something nice?” She offered grinning still trying not to chuckle too much.

"Starsky and Hutch works for me...and it looks like he does." Jason replied gently while watching his sister. He then looked at Ice and shook his head a little. Ice looked back at him and wagged his tail, to which Jason smiled a little in reply. "Silly boy" he said to Ice while standing there and watching him. Ice barked a little in reply, then left the room. "Something I said Ice?" Jason called out to the dog as he walked out of the room.

Jason sighed a little at the same time. "I'll take that as a yes." he said softly while standing there with his sister.

“So which one is which?” She asked grinning at them both seeing Ice wagging his tail and then bark in reply as he left the room. “Looks like you’re making a lot of friends.” Rachel teased lightly as she shook her head. “Oh I have to see you apologise to him for that.” She added though honestly it was sometimes scary just how well Ice understood what was being said and happening around him. Then again if that was her brother’s partner for work then she couldnt ask anymore of anyone.

“So we should have a family night, all of us together?” She suggested not sure how well he would take that given it was the whole family, kids, parents, partners all under one roof. Well it would be fun or it wouldnt be she thought.

"I'm Starsky, Ice is Hutch" Jason replied while looking at his sister. Ice barked in reply, then pawed at Jason's leg after he said that. Jason looked at him when he did that and pet him behind the ears. Ice lowered his head a little and wagged his tail at the same time. As he did, Jason looked back to Rachel when she asked about a family night.

"We should do that" Jason replied while pulling his hand back from Ice after petting him, gently running his hand over his pants leg to remove some of the hair from his hand. While he enjoyed having Ice around, Jason had to make sure to vacuum after him every other day.
