Jason shook his head a bit when Rachel said that to him, then turned to head out with Ice. "See you later sis." he replied before he and Ice jogged off. Ice stayed close to Jason at the same time, his tonge hanging out the side of his mouth as he panted. Everyone noticed the massive dog as he and Jason went by them. Jason knew that Ice would spring to his defence no matter what dispite the fact they were off duty at the moment. Momnets later, they arrived at Jason's truck and got in, heading back to the Kelly household.

Sarah was the first to greet them when they walked in. Jason smiled a bit as he watched them, knowing how much Sarah loved Ice. Ice would frequetly go into Sarah's room and lay next to her bed during the night. Jason knew how protective Ice was of them all and it wasn't lost on him that Ice would give his life to defend them. After removing Ice's leash, Jason went into the kitchen while Sarah and Ice went into the front room.

Rachel waved goodbye before Ice and Jason jogged off. She found herself at a loss of what to do with her day as she finished her run in a worse time than she usually did. She was still trying to get back into shape after Savannah though she thought it would be easy running a house, baby and husband but all she found was that there was far more to do than ever before and it didn’t really help on her fitness side. Still when she reached her place she bounded through the front door expecting to hear Savannah but she forgot that her husband had taken her for the day. It was a slightly deflating feeling although she needed the break.

She showered and made herself look a little less like the dragged through a hedge backward before she rummaged around for something to do. Finding nothing Rachel figured she would stop by Jason’s house, at least if she couldn’t annoy anyone in her home then Jason’s was the best thing. She made the driving buying a few pastries on the way over, being Irish and brought up in a certain way she always knew it was rude to turn up to someone’s place empty handed. Sure Jason was family but still it never hurt, especially if she wasn’t going to see him, Shani or the kids for awhile.

Rachel stood at the front door and knocked, pink card box in her hand with a new toy for Ice. Sure he was Jason’s dog but he was part of the overall family, a little like an extra human in a way and in such he was treated like any of the kids. Presents all around.

Phoebe ansered the door and smiled wide when she saw Rachel. "Aunt Rachel!" the little girl squeaked out before hugging her. Jason looked over and saw her, then walked up just as Phoebe pulled back. "Hello sis" he said to Rachel when he was close enough to her. "Please come in" he added as he stood back, along with Phoebe so that Rachel could walk in. As he did that, Ice walked over and sat next to Jason, wagging his tail at the same time. He was clearly happy to see Rachel again as he sat there. Phoebe looked over and giggled at him at the same time. "Yours funny Ice" Phoebe said to the dog as she smiled at him. Jason looked at his daughter when she said that, then smiled a bit. He knew how much Phoebe loved Ice, mainly when he slept in her room and woke her up. Jason remembered the first time Ice did that to her and how much Phoebe giggled when he did.

"I trust the drive was decent?" Jason asked Rachel when he looked back to her while Phoebe left them to see if she could help her mom out. Jason glanced over, then back to sister while waiting for her reply to his question.

Rachel smiled as she saw Phoebe, she was the cutest little girl ever she thought as she knelt down a little and hugged her back. Rachel stood back up as she saw and heard Jason speak, “Thanks, hope i’m not intruding today.” She said as she walked into the house knowing that usually she would have called first to make sure that it was okay to just drop by on the drop of a hat. It always amazed her how good Ice was with the kids, or just how good Ice was no matter what the situation he was in. It was nice to see a child so happy with a dog no matter if Ice was a working dog and great pet.

“The drive was good, a little detour to the bakery so I come with pastries too, I wasn’t sure what you wanted so I bought a few.” She said smiling as she offer the box to Jason. “Plus I figured since Ice was so good today then he deserved a toy too.” She said placing the squeaky chew toy on top of the box. It wasn’t the world’s most advanced toy for Ice but she thought he might enjoy it or simply the kids would either way it worked for her. “How was the run?” She asked.

Jason nodded in reply when Rachel said that to him. "Thank you sis and the jog was enjoyable." he replied while Phoebe came back over to her. "Aunt Rachel, comes with me" she said while taking her aunt's hand. Jason looked at her as he held the box Rachel had brought with her, knowing what Phoebe wanted to show her. "I'll leave you to be and take these into the kitchen." he said to Rachel and Phoebe before turning and heading down the hall. Ice stayed with the two after Jason walked off. He looked up to Rachel and gently pawed at her leg at the same time.

Jason noticed it when he looked over to them and smiled a bit. He knew how much Ice had warmed up to Rachel and how much Phoebe loved her aunt. At the same time, Phoebe went down the all to her room, waiting to show Rachel what she had gotten recently. Ice followed the little girl down the hall, his hearding and protective nature taking over at the moment. Jason watched him walk off, then got back to helping Shani.

Rachel smiled as Phoebe took her hand and wanted her to go with her, Savannah wasn’t old enough to do much of the talking or walking or really any toddler things yet which was why she enjoyed going around to her brothers house. It gave her a preview of what to expect with her own daughter. “Okay, and Phoebe what do you want to show me?” She asked as Ice pawed at her leg. She had almost forgotten the furry child of the family or rather extra person that Ice was to her. Yes she might sound crazy but Ice was one of the family, he might not be able to talk but he did in his own way. Rachel reached out a hand to pat his head affectionately.

Rachel followed Ice and Phoebe down the hall to the girls room, she could only wish that her daughter turned out like Phoebe as she was a really great kid. “So what is it you wanted to show me?” She asked knocking on the girls door lightly as she smiled, “You have a lovely room Phoebe.” She said smiling as she caught up with Ice and her niece.

Phoebe smiled wide when Rachel said that to her. "Thanks you Aunt Rachel" she replied before showing her the stuffed dog that Shani had gotten for her. "I nameds him Ruffus" Phoebe said to her while holding the stuffed Labrador Retreaver. Jason and Shani were convinced that Phoebe would take up a job that had to do with animals when she got older. After showing the stuffed dog, Phoebe showed Rachel the disney princess and gymnastics posters she had on her wall. Phoebe was a total girly girl dispite having gotten into gymnastics. She loved the gymnasts that she saw on TV, mainly the ones from the summer olympics in London.

Jason heard them at the same time, as did Shani. Both looked at each other and smiled before speaking in Hebrew. Both knew how blessed they were to be parents and to be married to each other. They both would give their lives to protect the other and their children. At the same time, Jason had a feeling that Phoebe would get into gymnastics if she went to college. *Stay in the present Jason* he said to himself.

Rachel smiled as Phoebe showed her the stuffed dog, “Ah, he’s so sweet, Ruffus is a very good name for him.” She said grinning at the stuffed Labrador Retriever. The girl was really into her animals, it would have surprised her if Jason was putting the girl through vet school when she was older or that she might bring home every stray she came across which Rachel thought would be a funny thing to see. Rachel looked through the Disney posters and gymnastics posters, the kid was about to be another active McGuire she thought to herself. “So who is your absolutely favourite Disney character?” She asked, Disney movies were some of the best she had seen.

Savannah wasn’t quite old enough to appreciate them yet but once she was Rachel was determined that they would see every single one. Glancing at Phoebe she knew how lucky Jason and Shani were to have such a wonderful family, she could only hope that hers turned out to be even half of what they had. Rachel couldn’t imagine anything happening to any one of her family, despite the fact that with a brother and sister and enough kids to start their own nursery she would break all rules or so much more if anyone hurt any single family member.

Phoebe looked at Rachel when she asked that, then smiled a little. "Belle...she's sweet and pretty" she replied. Jason and Shani took the kids to Disney World the summer before and Phoebe was beside herself when she met Belle. True she loved the other characters but Belle was her favourite one. Jason remembered how much Phoebe lit up when she interacted with Belle, knowing that she would want to see her again. Phoebe showed Rachel the photo of her and Belle from the trip, her smile having gotten bigger at the same time.

At the same time, Jason was helping his and RAchel's parents into the apartment when they arrived. Ice heard them and went to see who was there, but didn't run up to them, he knew better then do that. Jason had trained him well and was thankful that Ice was well behaved. He knew how inteligent German Shephards were having read all he could on them when he was training to be a K-9 officer.

“Ah Belle, she is a good choice.” She said as she looked at the photo of Phoebe and Belle at Disney World. She could see the little girls smile get bigger at the same time which was cute, the girl knew her Disney. “I like Merida, she reminds me a little of you. Fierce and spirited and of course a Princess.” She said smiling at the girl, she was a princess to Jason and Shani she was sure and of course she was a Princess to her too. Rachel heard the movement as she looked toward Phoebe, “I think your mum and dad have visitors.” She said to the girl.

It was nice to see family, it was something she would never grow tired of no matter how much she annoyed her brother or tried to make him laugh. He had a great family and of course the fact that she was the youngest in their generation didn’t hurt either she only hoped that their kids would all be friends and there for each other like Jason had been for both her and her sister. It was strange world and her family at the end of the day was there for you no matter what it was or what time of day it was.

Phoebe smiled again when Rachel said that to her. "Merida is cool too" she replied before setting the photo down. Hearing what her aunt said about visitors, Phoebe looked over to the door, then back at Rachel. "We betters go to them" she said before heading out. Ice followed her out of the room and to the kitchen were Jason and Rachel's parents were. They were talking with Jason at the same time when Phoebe and Ice came in. "Grandma, grandpa!" Phoebe called out as she came up and hugged them.

Jason and Shani watched as their daughter hugged and interacted Jason's parents. Jason's mom commented on how much Phoebe had grown since they saw her last. "She's growing fast" Shani commented as she held Jason's hand in her's. Jason nodded in agreement as his mom held Phoebe close to her.

Rachel nodded and followed Phoebe out of her room and into the kitchen where she saw her parents and Jason and Shani. She smiled as she watched Phoebe, Savannah was still too small to do more than reach out for someone though she was looking forward to her daughter growing up although she didn’t want to miss a minute of it. She felt it was only yesterday that Phoebe had been born and she had visited to see her new niece.

“Hey Mum, Dad.” She said smiling toward them as they held Phoebe, the girl had grown a lot in fact if anything every time she saw the girl she seemed to have grown a few centimetres or so. “I swear she will be taller than Jason soon.” She joked as she grinned toward both him and Shani. Okay so maybe not but there was always fun in joking about it. That and the fact she could watch how her brother dealt with the teenager years before her own daughter got that far.

"Hello Rachel" her mother and father replied while Phoebe watched them. Her and Jason's mother smiled a little when she said that. "That wouldn't surprise me" she said in reply while holding her granddaughter. Jason smiled a bit when she said that, he knew that his and Rachel's mom was happy to be a grandmother. Shani felt the same way about her parents as she watched her mother in law interact with her daughter. Shani was thankful that she was able to give Jason's parents two strong and healthy children. Jason and Rachel's mom soon set Phoebe down, then went with Shani to get the meal ready.

Jason watched them, then looked back to his dad and Rachel as Phoebe and Connor stood with them. "How was the ride over?" Jason asked his dad. "Uneventful" the elder McGuire replied while watching his son and daughter. "Thats good" Jason said in reply while taking a sip of his drink. "Whats this I hear about Phoebe meeting Nastia Luikin?" the elder McGuire asked. Jason looked at his dad when he asked that, telling the story from Phoebe's practice last week.

Rachel smiled toward her parents, there really was nothing better than family and spending time together with them. Though with Jason it was like she had three parents but she didn’t mind that at all. She could tease Jason a little more than her father she was sure or at least annoying him like siblings were supposed to do. He was the only brother so it came in her mind with her and her sister taking sides though it sometimes was only to annoy her brother a little.

Rachel stood a little speechless as her father mentioned about Phoebe meeting Nastia Luikin, well she had completely missed that she thought looking toward Phoebe and Jason. “So now Phoebe is meeting superstars and Olympic champions... I foresee great things for the girl.” Rachel said seriously, she herself preferred martial arts to gymnastics but wow the kid was already rubbing shoulders with athletes. “Phoebe must take after her mum more than her dad.” She joked grinning though when she looked at Phoebe she could see both parents there.

"Thanks you Aunt Rachel" Phoebe said to her. She was still beside herself over having met Nastia. "She's so cools" Phoebe added, a big grin on her face at the same time. Jason and Shani both smiled when their daughter said that. Both of them were active in Krav Maga while Shani also studied Jujitsu. While Phoebe was into gymnastics, Connor got into Jujitsu after seeing Shani practice it with Jason. Jason had the feeling Connor would stick with it as he grew up. He was a strong proponent of kids getting involved in martial arts, often citing the benefits from them and how it helped him out as a kid.

Shani excused herself to check on the meal to see if it was ready for everyone. Jason kissed her before she left, then returned to the conversation, listening to Phoebe tell everyone about meeting Nastia and how she had gotten a leotard from Nastia's personal line. Jason remembered how much Phoebe was beside herself when that happened and how much she thanked Nastia for it. Jason was happy that both his son and daughter were into sports, knowing how much it would help them in the long run.
