"The child's gender doesn't matter....just as long as he or she is healthy, but since you asked...I don't mind teaching another son about American football." Jason replied gently while watching his sister, hearing Shani walk in at the same time. Jason looked over to her and smiled a little before speaking in Hebrew to her. Jason had made it a point to learn Hebrew when he first met Shani, knowing that it was a sign on respect.
Mrs. McGuire looked over when she heard her son speak like that and smiled a little while she pet Ice. It wasn't lost on her how much her son loved and respected Shani and their children.

Rachel nodded, she hadn’t found out about Savannah until the day she was born. Boy or girl it didnt matter to her as long as they were healthy and luckily she was. Rachel was about to reply when Shani appeared, well best not to have that conversation with his wife too she thought smiling as she listened to Jason speak to her in Hebrew. Rachel had no idea what he was saying but learning a language for his wife, well really he was a good husband.
It was clear that Jason had his priorities right, he loved the children and loved and respected Shani and in that she could only hope to have half of what he had. “Honestly Jason you always surprise me, what’s the next language going to be?” She teased, well if there was one thing it was that she would constantly tease and annoy her brother. It came with brother territory and the fact that their sister wasn’t there to help her along with it.

Jason smiled a bit when Rachel said that to him. "Well, I've already learned Latin, Greek, Irish, Spanish and Hebrew and....well I scored high enough on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery that I could learn Japanese, Korean or Levantine Arabic." he said in reply, knowing that those were three of the more challenging languages to learn. Shani looked over when he said that, then smiled a bit, knowing that Jason was joking around in what he said.
Jason looked over to her, then back to Rachel as he stood there. As he did, Ice jumped off the couch and walked over to him. Jason reached down and pet him behind the ears, causing the dog to wag his tail.

“Only Latin, Greek, Irish, Spanish, Hebrew.” She said rolling her eyes lightly toward him, if there was one thing she knew her brother was smart. “Well I’ll beat you at languages one of these days, I can speak Italian though .... Carbonara.” Yes she was trying to be a smart alec but then again family was family. Rachel looked between Jason and Shani, she was happy that they were both happy.
“See even Ice thinks you’re joking about Japanese and Korean.” She teased watching Jason and Ice for a moment. Rachel found it tough to see Ice as a dog and not a family member, it was perhaps strange to anyone else but to her Ice was as much a family member as Jason, Shani or her parents.

Jason looked over to Rachel when she said that, then at Ice. "Traitor" he said in a light tone to Ice. Ice tilted his head to the side, then barked softly in reply before leaving the room. "Ice, I was joking" Jason said to the dog as he walked out of the room. Jason sighed a bit, "I deserved that" he said gently while standing there. "Daddy, that wasn't nice" Phoebe said to him.
Jason looked over when his daughter said that to him, then nodded. "I know it wasn't and I'm sorry." he replied as Ice came back into the room. The dog walked over to Jason and sat next to him. Jason looked at Ice as the big dog pawed at his leg, then whined softly as if say that he forgave him.

Rachel frowned and gave Jason a look that said she wasn’t impressed. “He doesn’t know that.” She said with a sigh watching as Ice walked out of the room. “No daddy that wasn’t nice at all.” She teased pouting at her brother before the smile returned to her face when Ice came back into the room. It never failed to amaze her the connection between Ice and Jason, yes the dog was part of the family and almost like a human but the bond was clearly there to her.
“So it’s steak dinners for Ice for a week now Jason, you’ve to be nice to our four legged friend.” She said though Ice deserved the best in her eyes, having to put up with her brother for entire days. The dog was an absolute hero in his own right she thought though she did love her brother. He was the leader of the family second only to their dad and her big brother. Annoyed at times but she loved him all the same as she was sure he would think she was annoying too at times.

Jason looked over to Rachel when she said that, then nodded a bit. "That it is and I will be." he replied, causing Phoebe to giggle. Jason and Rachel's mom did as well as she watched them. Jason looked over to her, then got on the floor with Ice and interacted with him. Ice wagged his tail as he and Jason play fought each other. Moments later, Ice got onto top of Jason. "Alright, you win, you win, I give." Jason said in a light tone.
Phoebe couldn't help but giggle when she saw that. "Ice got you daddy" the little girl said while standing next to Rachel. "I'm hardly in a position to disagree." Jason said lightly.

Rachel smiled as she heard Phoebe giggle followed by their mum. Rachel stood and watched the two play fight each other, Ice was completely a part of the family like any one of them were. Rachel laughed when Ice managed to get on top of Jason, well there was no beating the family dog or a police dog at that she thought as she glanced toward Jason and then to Phoebe who was at her side as she had an idea.
“How about we go help Ice out a bit? He won but how about we make sure there’s no second round?” Rachel said with a grin, “It’s not fair when you’re opponent is a little taller than you are.” Rachel teased as she took a few steps toward Jason chuckling as she waited to see what Phoebe would do.

Jason looked over to Rachel when she said that. Phoebe smiled a little in reply, then nodded. "We should Aunt Rachel" she replied, grinning a little at the same time. Jason saw that as he looked up at them while Ice stayed on top of him. He shook his head a bit at the same time as Phoebe joined in with him and Ice. Jason and Rachel's mother looked over and shook her head a bit, knowing that they were having to much fun.
At the same time, Ice wagged his tail and barked while interacting with Jason and Phoebe. It was clear he was happy to be interacting with family, as per his nature as a German Shepherd. That wasn't lost on Jason as he ran his hands over the dog's fur.

Rachel nodded and grinned as Phoebe spoke, “Oh we so should.” Rachel stayed on the side lines deciding it would probably end better for Jason if it was only Phoebe but it was far more fun that way she thought as she gave Phoebe some encouragement from the sidelines. Rachel looked at their mum innocently. “I swear, Jason started it.” Rachel almost pleaded with a grin that she couldnt even hide.
It was nice to see the three of them playing like that, Savannah was still too young and besides food and letter shapes all over the floor. It was about as much as they could do though doing the ‘one foot dance’ when she stepped on a stickle brick or a toy that seemed to get as much enjoyment out of her as ever as Rachel just chose to grin and watch Jason. “Admit defeat and it can all be over big brother.” She teased.

Ice barked a little in reply at the same time, then walked over and licked Jason's face. "Thank you Ice" Jason said to the dog, who barked softly in reply and wagged his tail at the same time.
Jason smiled a bit when he did that to him. "Thank you Ice" he said to him after sitting up on the floor. Ice wagged his tail in reply while sitting next to his handler. Jason and Rachel's mom smiled a little as she watched them, glad to see everyone getting along.

Rachel laughed as Phoebe giggled and stood back from her father while Ice barked a little. “See women really do rule the world and that includes Ice too.” Rachel stated looking between them all. There were no better days in life than family time. It was far too much fun and especially when she could gang up on her brother too which just made things even better to her at least. Maybe not Jason who had just given in.
“It could’ve been worse Jason, we could have tickled you?” She said though she glanced toward Phoebe with a raised brow as if offering her the option to do so. Rachel couldnt deny that she would probably take part then but still it was her job to be the annoying little sister right?

“It could’ve been worse Jason, we could have tickled you?”
Jason looked at his sister when she said that to him, knowing she was teasing him. "Remember what happened the last time you did that?" he said in reply, teasing her as he said that. "I do...and your father wasn't to happy about it." Mrs. McGuire said to her son lightly. Jason looked over to his mom when she said that to him.
"No he wasn't" he said in the same light tone. Mrs. McGuire watched her son and daughter, then shook her head a bit as she thought of that incident. It was true that Mr. McGuire wasn't happy about it, but at the same time, no one was really hurt in the process.

Rachel winced remembering full well what had happened to them last time they did that. So things had happened and of course trouble followed but they were adults now, mostly anyway. “But mum it wasn’t like we meant for it to go wrong, things just did and you know. It’s all Jason’s fault anyway.” Rachel said with a grin, anything that she could blame her brother for well she did her best to. Not that she lied to her parents about it but then the memory was a funny thing.
“I mean would I really do anything wrong mum?” She asked clasping her hand in front of her and putting her best innocent face on that she could without laughing. “Jason’s older so he should know better.” She added with a cheeky grin as the whole innocent look lasted only a few seconds.

“But mum it wasn’t like we meant for it to go wrong, things just did and you know. It’s all Jason’s fault anyway.....I mean would I really do anything wrong mum?....Jason’s older so he should know better.”
Both Jason and Mrs. McGuire looked over to Rachel when she said that. Mrs. McGuire smiled a little at her daughter after a few seconds. "Yes, Jason is the older one and should know better....but being younger then him you also have to follow his lead." she said to Rachel. Jason looked back to his mom, then over to Rachel after that was said. He knew that their mom had a point, like she always did, when she said that.
At the same time, Phoebe walked over and sat next to her grandmother, resting on her after sitting on the couch with her. Mrs. McGuire looked at her granddaughter, then put her arm around her and smiled a little.
