all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Jamie had pulled Jamie into one of the conference rooms. Pointing at the table she fixated him with a not so thrilled look. The Lieutenant had just gotten out of a jurisdictional battle with her sister and lost. "The feds are taking over this investigation. My sister is doing me a favor and letting me keep officers on this case because of the circumstances." She was pacing around the room. Jamie didn't do the whole sitting thing well. There was an entire news crew outside that had just blown federal covers out of the water. Jamie knew Debra still had to talk to the head of the DEA. Jamison wasn't even going there. "Tempers are running hot in this case; but we are playing by federal rules now. You can't ask questions of a suspect who hasn't waived Miranda. I know you are trying to help; but the feds think otherwise." She stated as she looked towards him and sighed. "I'm not taking you out of this case but I'm reassigning you. I'm not convinced the investigators went far enough in this case. You and I are going back to the crime scene." She pointed out. "I am not burying federal officers unless I have a rock solid case and this" she threw the file down on the table. "is crap"@jamiereagan

"I'm not taking you out of this case but I'm reassigning you."
He was all for further investigating this case. He didn't have a good feeling about it at all. The whole things stunk of cover up.
"I am not burying federal officers unless I have a rock solid case and this" she threw the file down on the table. "is crap"
Looking at the file on the table he didn't touch it but looked back up at her.
"What's this?" he asked. She was going to have to explain what it was before he even feigned interest.

The minute she had stepped off the elevator that day Elena knew there was something big going on. Phones were ringing, people were flying and files were being thrown as Elena was dragged down a hallway the minute her foot had hit the shiny floor tiles of the office. “We caught a big one... it’s the government level stuff.” The receptionist squealed as she pushed Elena into her boss’ office and shut the door behind them. Elena just stared at her boss for a moment who had the look of a cat that had just gotten the cream about him.
“Elena, the DEA has just hired us as outside council for a murder case against one of their agents.” The man said pacing with his excitement as Elena pulled out her notebook and started jotting down details. “I don’t have much right now but you’re to get down to the 21st Precinct and go find your client, Paige Arkin. Speak to no one until you’ve heard her side and go from there.” He said as the phone on his desk started ringing. “Get going and keep me informed, you’ve the weight of the firm behind you for this.” The man said before showing her from the office.
Within about two minutes Elena was back on the same elevator armed with her bag and a lot of missing answers as to what exactly was going on. One town car ride later and Elena was walking through the 21st Precinct dressed in her navy suit with a white shirt. She had to wait for an escort to the conference room but once she was there she was left. Elena usually would have entered the room but this time the voices inside caught her attention. ‘Questions of a suspect who hasn’t waved Miranda’ caught her attention immediately as her job was going to be easier than expected.
Elena waited a minute before she knocked loudly on the door and entered. She never waited for a ‘please entre’ as being the defence lawyer rarely made her any favours within the CPD. Elena barely looked up as she pulled out her note book and pen before regarding either officer in the room. “So which one of you spoke to my client?” She asked innocently as she smiled, “Anyone care to show me to Paige Arkin, I’m her lawyer.” Elena said firmly as she saw Jamie Reagan there and raised her brow. He was a cop and given her job choice it was inevitable they would bump into each other at some point.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? When Jamie asked the Lieutenant what the file was she didn’t respond. He should be able to put two and two together. She had all but told him what information was in there. That was when Elena came barging into the room. Something about being a defense lawyer. Oh wonderful. Just what Oxford didn’t need at the moment. Lawyers drove him up the wall. “Officer Caleb Borden spoke to Paige Arkin, the FBI has your client in custody Ms….” she fumbled for a name. That was when he phone rang and she was needed elsewhere. “Reagan we will catch up at the crime scene in a little bit. This is important.” While it was about the case, it was not something that needed to go down the food chain just yet. Apparently intelligence was looking for her to discuss the case. Yes she was leaving the officer in the room to deal with the lawyer. Jamie Oxford Exit Thread
