all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Best place to start. The paramedic in charge who came to the scene of whatever had been going on at the docks. Jamie had NOT been read into the operation that Hank and the FBI were putting together. She was going on a fishing expedition to find a cop to pin this on. Not specifically the shooting; but she was looking who to pin the boat explosion on. Why was CPD blowing things up on the harbour now? She had NO idea. Lieutenant Oxford was not very happy. In her experience, Paramedics knew more than most people. The reason was they heard things from various angles. Little did she know that this particular paramedic was already read into the boat operation and therefore would be of little help. That didn't mean that she knew this was even an off the books operation. Oh right and then there was the false bomb alert that someone had pulled out. That was probably against so many federal regulations but she was trying to keep the feds out of this.

It was the day he had dreaded, IA had finally caught up and this mean a headache for him. Steven sat there trying to decide how many buttons he could push with IA before they gave up. He had dealings before when he had ‘assaulted’ the guy who had beaten his sister, in his eyes it was completely justified but some anger management and a suspension later he had a new found hate for IA. Especially after he had to explain that he was a little faster than the two cops who had been on duty that day.
Well if the police were going to turn away then there was no chance he would. Family was family and much like the wider scene he would rarely roll over for the police. Voight wanted a favour and he had it, the rest was just paperwork he thought as he wondered if he would get to a sixty second mark before lawyer was mentioned or IA would just be sick of him already. It was that or they knew far too much, it was either way with them. Too much or fishing though he hardly wanted too much as he voted for fishing until otherwise told.

"You can send in Steven Hudson" it was light hearted and she was in a rather decent mood for the time being. She had a feeling that Steven was going to be a little more difficult. It wasn't unknown that Steven sometimes helped with operations where it concerned Voight. Though it wasn't Voight that she suspected of any wrong doing. For right now all she was doing was a standard investigation into the shooting of a federal agent before the FBI came knocking down doors or something else stupid. She took a sip of her water on the desk as she rubbed her temples. The headache from Hades had arrived.

Steven made his way into the room as he was summoned. This was the beginning of the end he thought silently as he put on his best smile. “Steven Hudson, nice to meet you.” He said smiling broadly as he held out his hand to the woman from IA as he approached the desk. Nothing like starting out politely even if he was as guarded as a person could be underneath it all. Sitting with IA was like administering several hundred IV needles all at once, somewhat painful and yet there he was.
He hardly knew much about the operation. He was to wait on a just in case basis, there was an explosion and as things ended up they were needed. Lives saved, people patched up and one very annoying man delivered to hospital hopefully never to be seen again. What more could IA want, it wrapped up in a bow because in his eyes there was no blame it was simply a good timing thing that they were there to help. Unless she had a different story to tell.

Jamie accepted the hand offered to her as she stood up over her desk. "Lieutenant Oxford, but you can call me Jamie" she added as she shook his hand. Her grip was firm but respectful and the look on her face was more friendly than vindictive. Jamie wasn't the type of IA officer who was out to hunt anyone. If a cop was truly dirty, then she could get a mean streak if needed. Right now she just wanted to know what had happened. "Please have a seat" she pointed to the seat in front of her desk. They could be using the conference room but she wanted Steven to feel more comfortable. If someone had their hand in a cover up she figured it was on Voight's team, although she also knew that this time it wasn't Voight based on the evidence presented. But Jamie just wanted the truth.

Steven nodded as she spoke, there was nothing that was ringing any alarm bells for him so far. She seemed nice enough even friendly if he could ever apply that to any IA officer. He made sure to keep himself on guard though because the last time he had been railroaded he had learned the hard way. Where cops were concerned the medic got the blame though last time he had hardly been blameless in the entire situation but still, he felt it was wrong.
“Thanks Lieu Jamie.” He said correcting himself as he took a seat she pointed to in front of her desk. This was hardly the usual or what he expected, a desk and not the feeling on an enclosed box. He found himself wondering what exactly was going as he took a deep breath. “So what is it you want to know?” He asked as he thought better of it, “Or what are the missing parts you want filled it?” He knew he was jumping the gun on it but IA had facts or he would have been sitting elsewhere. There was a reason to think and he figured why not just ask first.

Jamie moved to take her seat as she heard Steven asking questions. Well he was well read. "You are the paramedic in charge, but you were read into the operation. One that saved the life of a police officer, but also ended up with a fed shot." She laid the basics out on the table. "It's mandatory that the department investigates all shootings done by police officers within the department. I just want to know what you saw in regards to the shooting" she offered. Okay start simple. Okay so she was looking for a reason to clear an officer for shooting a fed or the other way around. Though perhaps more importantly she wanted to know how this operation had gone so wrong but she couldn't really get that out of the medics who were there. That is something she was going to have to pull out of Hank and the other officers. Though Jamie's beef wasn't with Voight this time. It was elsewhere.

Steven nodded to her; yes he was the medic in charge which was either good or bad as the buck stopped with him for the medic’s part in it. Steven sat back in his seat and simply shrugged as she asked what he had seen with regards to the shooting. At least the questions were basic so far he thought which was a good thing, Steven had no idea what the woman wanted to hear or who she wanted to hang out to dry but he knew he was going to give as little as possible to help with that.
“Unfortunately I wasn’t there for the shooting, we were told by dispatch to be quiet and no sirens so that’s what we did. I went down to the docks to see what was going on and then a boat exploded.” He explained, “It was only later that I realised the oaf was shot.” He added knowing that if he ever saw Thomas again it would be too soon. If anything he hoped it was the Fed that they were after and he would be as helpful as possible to be a pain in that guys butt.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Jamie looked towards Steven. She already knew that 51 worked closely with Hank Voight and his team. "Who dispatched you?" She asked as she had the dispatch records. There was no dispatch record from HQ, so she already knew it wasn't an official dispatch. "You are aware that the female involved, Allison is a cops daughter? We are just looking for who tried to get them killed. All I want to do is talk to the person in charge of the operation to find out who the were after. I already know the dispatch wasn't from main." She was only partially lying. While Allison was not a true person, Sharon was the daughter of a cop and she wanted to know who was trying to kill the police too. Though she had her own ideas of who set the bomb off. Though she was still trying to put the pieces together why someone within the same unit that as trying to protect a cop would be trying to kill that and a fed. It made not much sense to her, then again anything cops did to get into trouble made little sense to her.

Steven shrugged; well there was no point in telling her that it was a favour. The woman might have no idea what it was like to walk on their side of the line. “No one dispatched us, we were just the right place at the right time. We are allowed breaks you know.” He said trying to keep his tone the least sarcastic it could be. There was no record because Voight had asked directly, no emergency call just be there and say nothing to Steven was saying as little as possible and it was as good as a coffee break.
“Really? A cops daughter.” Steven said thoughtfully, well that was a mystery better left for the cops to solve than the medics. He leaned over slightly in his seat as he took a breath. “Well I can tell you two people to take off the list, Kelle and myself. We tried to help them not kill them although the Fed... no loss there. I’d start with that guy personally, something shifty about him” He said as he sat back and grinned. Shifty yes, the guy had practically flirted with his partner and that never sat right with him. “I’ve no idea who was doing what, all I know is that there was a boom and we went to investigate. Coffee break was over at that point.” He stated as he glanced around the room for a moment.
“You see this is the problem with cops, you’re asking the medics to investigate for you. I know, handsome, charming and all around amazing as I might be, Colombo I’m not. I know you’re IA but surely the who in charge is more your department. From what you’re telling me it seems like IA hasn’t a clue but then... ha no different to normal there.” He stated knowing he was pushing the mark but then sitting in a room with his least favourite type of cop. She was lucky he was still sitting and not trying to escape through the nearest window.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? “Really? A cops daughter.” Well know she knew exactly how much he knew. When he stated telling him about the fed and taking him and kelle off the kill list. “You and your partner were never suspects in this.” His defensiveness was noted. He was protecting someone. Later she would check into his connects and see who at the PD he was willing to protect but she had a vague idea. She noted his lie about the coffee break as he looked around the room. There was no break about it but she wasn’t going to let him onto the fact that she noted that internally. “You were a witness. I can assure you that there is no ill will towards the ambulance called to the scene.” Well they weren’t called, but it was the point though. They were the attending. “That will be all Mr. Hudson” she pointed out. “Thank you for coming in” Even if he was a pain in the ass, she already knew with whom she needed to talk. So she would talk to those in Voight’s unit. Someone made that call and she would find out where it came from. End Thread
