It wasn't long before Connor and Phoebe were home. Jason spoke with them when he meet them at the bus stop and lead them inside. Connor had been having problems with a bully recently, but Jason told him to stand his ground if the kid ever gave him problems. He also told him that if he ever had to defend himself to do so and he would speak to the principal about it. He was glad to hear that Connor didn't have any problems with that kid today as they walked inside.
Once inside, Phoebe saw Shani and ran to her. "Mommy" she said before hugging her. Ice heard them at the same time and walked over to Jason and the kids, his tail wagging at the same time.

When Shani saw the children and Phoebe ran to her she bent down on one knee as she hugged their daughter. “Phoebe!” She said excitedly picking her up off her feet for a few seconds as she hugged the girl before she lessoned her grip and pointed to Jason. “Daddy wants a really big hug.” She said with a smile as she looked toward Connor. “You too, come on.” She said as she opened her arms to the boy. “I’ve missed you both so much.” She said grinning at them.
School was never easy and given the fact that someone was bulling their son it took all she had not to get right in the middle of it all and either scare the bully to death or at least go and knock on the bully’s parents door. Likely it would never help the situation but she knew she could put either the parents or the child on their backsides if they even so much as looked at Connor the wrong way.

Jason felt the same way as he hugged Phoebe and Connor. "We missed you too mommy" Phoebe replied after looking back to her. Connor looked over at the same time and nodded to her. Jason looked at their son when he did that while gently letting go of them. While he knew that Connor didn't have any run ins with the bully, it wasn't lost on him that the next day wouldn't have the same outcome.
When the kids went to their rooms, Jason looked over to Shani. "I know that Connor didn't have a run in with that bully today....but it worries me that he will have another run in with him like at the start of the school year." he said gently, though the worry was clear in his eyes.

Shani beamed hearing Phoebe, there were days when she wanted five minutes peace and when she had it all she wanted to do was to get back to the normal family life she knew and loved. It was nice to have everyone under one roof and safe, if not from work just from the world outside the front door. Shani knew the bully would be back but for one day at least Connor had a rest from it all which was a nice thing.
Shani looked over to her husband as he spoke about Connor and the bully, she could see the worry clearly in his eyes as she moved over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. “I can go and talk to the child’s parent’s sweetheart.” Shani offered knowing she would do that in a heartbeat, “I can even go to the school and try and talk to the child too, or scare them all which you know I would do.” She said with her best evil grin she could find. “I just don’t want it to backfire onto Jason if it goes wrong.” She admitted knowing that interfering could go either way.

Jason saw the grin on Shani's face when she said that. "Or we could both scare the kid if you want." he replied while taking his wife's hands in his as he said that to her. As he did, Connor and Phoebe went to their rooms. Connor sat on his bed after closing the door, thinking about what happened between him and the bully. What hurt him worse then that was the fact that none of the teachers listened to him when he complained.
Connor sniffled a bit, then got up and went back out to his parents. Jason saw him when he looked over. "Hey Connor, what is it?" he asked, sensing that something was wrong. He watched their son as Connor told them about the teachers who didn't listen to him when he told them about the bully. Jason was clearly angered when he heard that.

“Both sound like a fantastic idea.” She said with a wicked grin, Shani squeezed Jason’s hand lightly she knew that seeing their son upset was tough but the not knowing what to do about it was worse. Watching the kids go off to bed Shani smiled, it had been a great day and at least Connor had a day where the bully had left him alone. It was all she could really hope for bar scaring the bully into submission which she was more than ready to do.
Shani looked around as Jason spoke to Connor, listening to their son tell them about the teachers and the bully Shani reached out a hand to place on her husband’s shoulder. Shani could feel herself getting upset and angry over it though part of being Israeli meant she could hide things a little easier. Squash what she felt down until she could find a time and place to get it out. She could clearly tell that Jason was angered.
“Sweetie was it your class teacher or the principal?” She asked knowing that if the school had been open at that moment she would have been out in the car ready to go yell at the teachers. “Why don’t you give us both a hug?” She asked Connor hoping that it would help Jason calm down as she kissed his cheek for a brief moment. “You’re really brave for telling us this.” She said reassuringly.

Connor nodded, then told them who it was. "It was the principal" he replied while holding onto parents. When he let go, Jason got his jacket and the keys to the car. It was clear that he was ready to go and confront the principal about this. He though back to when he was in high school and stood up to a teacher that dismissed his sister Rachel when she was getting bullied.
After getting his jacket on, he waited at the door for Shani, doing his best to keep his anger in check at the same time. He knew better then to lose his cool, but when it came to Connor and Phoebe, that was a different story.

Shani held onto Jason and Connor when their son spoke about the teacher being the principal. Shani kissed Connor on the forehead before she spoke softly. “Run up to bed and do not worry about a thing Sweetie.” She said looking toward Jason who already had the keys to the car and his jacket on. Shani protected her family, she had failed with her little sister but she would not do so with her husband and children.
She grabbed her own jacket and bag appearing eerily calm on the outside yet she knew her husband would see through it entirely. She paused for a moment by the door as she gazed at him, “It will be alright.” She said trying to reassure Jason more than anyone else. “I can call your sister to watch the children?” She asked as she reached out for his hand. Family was everything to her and no one ever messed with it. It was bad enough if it was Jason but the children, no Connor was just a child who had a problem with a bully and a teacher needed to understand that.

Jason nodded in reply when she said that. "Please do" he said calmly, knowing that she was mad as a rattlesnake underneath like he was. It wasn't lost on Jason how quick Shani was to defend the children. He was reminded of the time his dad confronted the father of a kid who bullied Rachel with a baseball bat. Everyone, himself included, was certain that the elder McGuire was going to take a swing at the guy as they argued. While it didn't come to that, Jason's dad did get his point across to the other dad.
At the same time, Connor sat on his bed, knowing that his parents would set the principal straight and that the didn't have to worry anymore.

Shani did exactly that asking Rachel to come over and baby sit for them until they got back. Shani would do anything for their children or for Jason, she would take their word first over anyone else's and she believed in what Connor had told them. Shani had missed out on taking care of her sibling, she missed her sister like crazy and despite everything she knew what children meant and what family meant. She was hardly going to sit back and do nothing letting them be hurt in anyway.
After hanging up with Rachel Shani took a deep breath as she looked to Jason. “It’ll be alright Jason.” She said softly to him, “It will all be fine.” Shani was still mad and angry about it but then if she could put her efforts into something then she would try to calm her husband down as much as she could. Shani was a great believer in family coming first, she took care of the children and her husband before all else and it was something she could set her mind to that night.

Jason nodded in reply when Shani said that to him. Moments later, Rachel arrived and spoke with her brother. After doing so, Jason lead Shani out to the car, getting into the driver's seat. While getting buckled up, he though back to his martial arts training to focus himself. Apart from church, Jason was thankful for his parents having gotten him into martial arts. The training he got, and still gets, helps him focus and keep his cool when things get tough.
At the same time, the attention to detail helped him on more then occasion. After buckling up, he looked over to Shani. "Ready?" he asked while sitting there and looking at her.

Shani got into the passenger seat trying to keep herself calm when she wanted to scream at the world for what it was doing. Shani found that with her past and martial arts it was easier to just lock things away, keep quiet until she could find time later to deal with the issues that might crop up. This simply was one of those times, she wanted to scream at the principal for not listening to Connor. Their son was the most honest and truthful child she knew and was that really all for him not to be believed.
Taking a quick breath she did her best to smile at Jason when he asked her if she was ready. “Ready.” She replied as she placed a hand on his arm lightly, “Are you ready?” She asked knowing her husband replied on his own training to focus himself. Shani trusted Jason entirely she simply wanted to know he was alright.

"I am" Jason said in reply. He then drove them to the school, keeping his eyes focused on the road as he drove. He didn't say much during the drive, preferring to save his words for the principal. Moments later, he was pulling into the school, parking close to the door at the same time. After parking and shutting off the car, he got out and closed his door, waiting for Shani as he stood there.
While waiting, Jason took a few breaths, just to focus himself and get his anger under control, for now. He knew that the infamous Irish temper would show itself when they got into the principal's office.

Shani hardly knew what to say on the journey to the school, she knew she could try and keep Jason calm but then she felt just as strongly about it as he did. She was angry that her son had been dismissed and now they were having to get involved because the principle was at fault. Shani followed him out of the car trying to keep herself calm though she could feel her hands shaking slightly as she stuffed them into her pockets to hide it.
The Irish temper she had seen before but this was their child, one thing Shani knew was that no one ever messed with family. Connor, Phoebe and Jason were her world and no one would ever change that, it just so happened that if she had to scream at the principal he would take her son seriously. “Jason... Connor doesn’t lie; he doesn’t deserve not to be believed.” She said still dismayed by what they had learned from Connor already.

Jason looked over to Shani when she said that to him, then nodded. "Agreed....time to read the riot act to his principal." he replied before turning and heading into the school. It was clear that he wanted to find this guy and get the truth out of him, no matter how long it took them. Jason would stay there all night if that's what it took, remembering his special forces training.
He got into the building a few steps ahead of Shani and looked around for the principal, not seeing him at the moment.
