Seeing Sharon flinch just made things worse for him, not only was he yelling at his own daughter but she was now screaming back at him. He almost said something when he saw that glare that could have killed or at least injured. He was glad that there was nothing to hand to throw though given they were arguing he guessed he was lucky there was nothing there. “It’s our mess and I told you I’d fix it.” Hank yelled, “I’m fixing it and you almost get yourself killed a second time.” Honestly why was he yelling at her? Because he was terrified of losing her that was why.
Thomas had to disagree with her, this entire thing was his fault. He didnt identify himself, he got himself shot, landed them both in the hospital where she was almost killed by a nurse. His fault he thought as he did as she asked and looked at her. “Not your fault at all, you did the right thing is choosing you turn your back. I’m sorry I’m the reason your in here.” He said as he shook his head again, “Thank you for getting me off that boat and the whole needle thing.” He said as he places his hand over hers.
Thomas knew that he was just going to go back to see Debra, sort out what he had to then go home. “Then i’ll let the FBI know not to come.” He said given it was probably the smarter idea given that the FBI was the problem in the first place. “No one will take the fall and you need to get some rest.” He said as he smiled. Oh he did not want to be Hank Voight at that moment.
“Yes you were the one who started all of this Sharon and i’d have it no other way.” Hank stated firmly. “You are my family and I will do anything for family. I told you that the first day I met you and it hasn’t changed since then.” He explained trying not to sound too crazy himself given that was always a pretty good possibility. “Now you can look at that wall all you want but i’ll still be here because it’s not your fault, and if you really want to shoulder some blame them sure but it will be shared between Jackson and myself too.”
Hank knew that if he had checked that the messages had been received or the identification of an agent had been done and sure if he hadn’t have been shot then they wouldnt have been there. “Jackson do you agree?” Hank asked giving Jackson a look that said if he didnt then he would die right there on the hospital floor. Thomas caught the look as he nodded not needing a glare to agree. “Things could have been different Sharon, it’s not your fault believe me.” He stated seeing Hank relax a little at his answer.

Yelling wasn't helping. Yelling never helped, but it was a reflex to yell back. Galacio had taught her to keep her mouth shut, Mark's hand had silenced her but that hadn't meant she hadn't screamed back to rebel against them. Sharon learned to rebel, and that isn't what was going on. She was defending someone again. Standing up for what she believed in and strongly at that. It didn't matter that the world was spinning she was still standing. Feeling Thomas' hand over hers, she just smiled what little bit she could muster. There was a sigh as she decided fighting with Thomas wasn't worth the fight. Though that conversation was far from over. She wasn't going to let him take the blame for something that was her fault. Though for now she was too tired to fight against the both of them. Sharon didn't really know how to thank Thomas for everything. She let her hand drop, but her face said she would definitely be in touch with him again at some point. Though to be fair, she would make sure it was safer ground for the both of them. There was something about Thomas that made her feel safe. He seemed like a much calmer version of her dad maybe? She was still trying to place it all. Hearing her dad's voice she mentally groaned. No sound left her lips and she wanted to bang her head on a wall. Here they went again. That infamous do anything for family argument. The one that Sharon absolutely started. "And I am going to finish it!" okay so he wasn't yelling and she was still yelling. She didn't bother to face him when he said she could stare at the wall. At least no one could read her eyes, no one could see how much this hurt. Sharon had no poker face. The only thing she could do was hide her feelings by avoiding eye contact. Sharon just kept her face hidden as she watched the dialysis machine. She was so tired and so cranky. Feeling vulnerable and at fault all in one hadn't helped. She didn't want to rest. The color was coming back to her face but it was clear she was exhausted if one looked into her eyes. She was tired from running, tired from playing pretend. "Watch your back Thomas.. please?" she managed out. She was either almost inaudible or screaming as loud as she could muster (which wasn't very loud). There was a part of her that wondered just how much more Hank was going to yell at her. Sharon would fight back as much as she could. Hank didn't realize how normal this had become in her past. Arguing, fighting, screaming, yelling, and just about everything else. Though she knew Hank would never raise a fist in her direction and it was the only reason she hadn't thrown all of this in his fast. He was just being overprotective. She understood. Yelling wasn’t about to make anything better but he was too frightened of losing her not to yell. He didnt enjoy it nor did he want to but he had almost lost on her on the boat and now to a nurse that was trying to kill Jackson. It was the strange thing about him, he wouldnt admit that he was scared whether it showed or not was another thing but he was stubborn in not staying that that remotely related to what he felt for people. It was entirely the wrong thing but then again he usually went about things a little heavy handed.
Thomas smiled as he saw she did, he was glad that she had given up arguing with him because he would continue it if he had to. Unfortunately he had to agree with Hank on the fact that the blame wasn’t hers to shoulder but then since when did women listen to anything like that he thought. Thomas knew he would thank her for what she had done even if he did think she was a little crazy for doing it. Then again given the state of things he did wonder if they would even see each other again because it wasn’t your regular day of happenings of anyone there he guessed.
“No we will finish it, you’re not on your own any more Cher.” He stated firmly trying not to yell at her. Even though she was staring at the wall he half wanted to make her look at him to see how serious he was but then that wasn’t about to go well either. Hank sat back in the chair trying to figure out what to say or do when she spoke to Thomas again. He thought a few smart replies to go after that but stayed silent as he was sure if he snapped at the guy it would only lead to another set of yelling with Sharon and that he was going to try to avoid.
Thomas listened and watched as he took one look at Hank then nodded as Sharon spoke. “I will you don’t have to worry about me. You just get yourself better and get some rest.” He said as he walked to the door, “Besides you should listen to your dad, he’s a pain in the ass but he makes sense... sometimes.” He stated as he made a quick dash to the hallway seeing the glare that Hank gave him. Well why kill the mood of the day he thought as he left.
Hank sat there silently for a moment before he reached out a hand to her trying to be as obvious as possible so not to frighten her. “You know I hate the guy right.” He said trying to make a joke out of it as he sighed heavily. “I’m not mad at you I’m just scared I was going to lose for the second time today. You don’t have to prove that you are sorry for shooting the guy by taking a hit yourself.” He said much more quietly than before. “Please just look at me so I can see you’re okay.” He asked still having the less mad guilty look on his face.

If it was one thing that Sharon was used to it was heavy handed people. Trying to explain that her whole life was full of them.. well that was just peachy. How had she ended up here? The mafia, the courts, Chicago, the boat? All of it. This had to be some sort of cruel 30 year joke on her life. The redhead just laid hiding from as much of this as she could. She was too worn out to bother. She could hear the change in his voice. No she wasn't alone anymore but this was her mess to pick up. One thing that Sharon got from her father was her stubborn ability to argue until her last breathe. Her breathing was even though right now she was so tired. Having a machine recycle and clean one's blood system was draining. Her eyes were heavy. So when Thomas said he would watch out for himself she just nodded. Though when Thomas called Hank a pain in the ass there was a smirk hidden as she tried not to laugh. He was right to a point. Hank was a pain in the ass. Though as far as making sense, she wasn't sure right now anything as making much sense. There was one thing that spooked Sharon above all others and it was hands (especially those of men) coming out of her blind spot. She felt it land on her shoulder since she didn't turn around. "You just hate him because he's a fed" she grumbled. Sharon knew her dad didn't like the FBI too much. Sharon didn't voice too much on Thomas. There was part of her that was growing fond of him. When Hank started saying he wasn't mad she just shrugged. Arguing that she would do it again was hardly the to go but if she had it all to do all over again she would have done the same. Sharon barely rolled over. With her eyes downcast, she chose to stare at the floor. It was her submissive stance. Sharon was done fighting over this. Curling up as best she could there were no words. She was just too weak to keep fighting about this. It had nothing to do with willpower. If it was willpower to continue the argument, then she had it but she was so tired and it showed on her face. Hank wasn’t used to people being able to argue as well as he could. Mostly people just gave up arguing with him eventually which was a trait he sometimes wished Sharon hadn’t gotten from him. Not that it was a bad thing but when it was aimed in his direction he couldnt exactly say it was working in his favour at all. Still it was Thomas that she seemed to not be arguing with as he wondered how that had ever happened. The man was the most annoying fed he had ever met how Debra managed to be the boss of the guy was beyond him.
Well Hank couldnt argue the fact that Thomas being a fed had a lot to do with his problem with the guy. Then there was the fact that he had caused Sharon to shoot him, argued with her and then she was stabbed with a needle. As if his list needed to get any bigger he was now adding the fact that Sharon wasn’t arguing with him which just made things even better because what the hell was it about the guy? He was a fed and a bad one at that given how the day had gone but then getting shot was punishment enough.
“Yeah, being a fed is enough for me to hate him. His scaring you is another reason and I can think of a few more after that.” He said though he didnt want to argue with her about the man. “But I guess he didnt have to stay here and offer to help.” Hank said trying to add any amount of annoyance to the words he spoke. It was true the fed could have walked at the first sign of trouble which did go in his favour despite his job choice.
Hank shook his head as she barely rolled over. Her submissive stance and down cast eyes he knew that arguing with her hadn’t done any good. “Im sorry Cher, you just get some rest and i’ll be right here if you want anything. Anything at all.” He said moving his hand away as to not spook her over anything. He had decided that he wasn’t going to push her because she seemed too tired to even take part with an argument at all, not that he wanted to argue it just seemed like it was what they did best at times.

How could you argue with someone when they were being civil after you just accidentally shot them? That was above cruel and unusual punishment. She had been the one to pull the trigger and it wasn't like she hadn't seen his face before. Her mind just hadn't put two and two together. Not giving Sharon the plan? That had been a bad idea. It had almost gotten people killed and she was not holding that against Thomas. "He didn't have to save my life either" she pointed out. "He could have left me on that boat after I shot him" she fired back but it wasn't any use arguing her words didn't have as much force behind them as she was trying for. They were just strained from her voice and it was hurting to talk now. When her dad apologized she closed her eyes and tried to just block it all out. When he went to move his hand she reached back out for it. "smette di chiedere scusa papà" (Stop apologizing Daddy) She barely had but a few fingers in her grasp when she finally fell asleep, her last few bit of Italian words slurred into her groggy state.
