"Oh, definitely, they come in pink...and I have an ugly old Army blanket I toss over the bed to hide the Pretty Princess sheets!" Isla laughed, enjoying the silly exchange, there weren't many strangers who would go with the fun with a stranger. "But you know, Avengers are pretty classy, right, and you can use all those furniture magazines to hide your comic books and...you know!" She laughed. "Your mom will never suspect!" When he offered to pay the difference between water and air, it was a little awkward, but the offer was sincere, so she shrugged and smiled. "All right, air bed it is, then! I mean, what you said about sharp things is true, and I am about as sharp as they come!" Then she added, "Honestly, I'm looking forward to not sleeping over my desk...it's going to be fun to have more than one room, the reward of all that hard work of nursing school." Certainly, the goal of being able to move to a real apartment once she had a job. "Now I just need a kitten! You know, every bed or couch needs a kitty curled up on it!" That was something else she'd promised herself, but that would be later, once she was settled. "You look more like a puppy guy." Dorian Reese

Dorian laughed hearing about the army blanket, that was more his speed though princess sheets he could see Isla with those. “Yeah, I mean as long as you don’t go too far past page twenty you’ll never know the comic books are stuck inside them.” Dorian said with a grin, it was a fairly good idea and sure up until a year ago given the work he did. Magazines of all kinds became his thing, hanging around killing time while he read a big of this and that.
“Would hate to see the fire brigade outside your place trying to fix the flooding. Air beds are easier to move too, not that heavy and might even be comfier.” Dorian said chuckling, honestly he had no idea but the idea of sleeping on a form on the titanic could make him sea sick just stood on dry land. “Well you deserve the reward, nurses are great people and sure all that study needs to have some good you know.” He added smiling, his apartment was a place he slept and nothing much more.
It was a place to catch up on sleep, grab a change of clothes and back out again. He was simple with what he needed and require though that was before Chicago and his mother. “A kitten? Not a dog?” Dorian asked, cats were the stalkers of the world. The ones that knew all, said little and had an eye on everything. Dogs were the happy, loud friends of the world and less stalker like in his mind. “Yeah I’m more the puppy guy, besides I can’t take a cat on a run so a dog would be better for that.” He said with a laugh.

"Well, there are some cat breeds," Isla observed with a shrug, "that can be leash-trained, some that like to swim, ride in the car or on motorcycles, but I guess it's hit and miss. The beauty of a cat is that its self-sufficient, leave it plenty of food and water, a litter box and you can go off for a few days, no problem. Do that for a dog and he'll scarf down all his food in the first ten minutes, then starve!" She laughed. "I guess it wouldn't be so bad to have a running companion, but then, dogs don't do well when you're gone and with twelve hour shifts..." Well, the poor mutt would be so lonely and that wasn't fair. "You could get a gerbil, you know, leave it a bottle of water and some food pellets and he's happy for a few days, and if when you go jogging, just stuff him in your backpack and you're good to go!" Again, she laughed. "Even better, he can run on his little hamster wheel while you use the treadmill!" Now that really would be something to see! "Say he's your companion animal and you can take in into the store or on the bus or plane." She was rambling a bit, but she was having fun. "Anyway, what about that furniture for you? Fold-out bed, small table to dissuade too many visitors...and a nice, comfy recliner just for you! Sound right?" Dorian Reese

“Yeah you have a point but you know cat does know all and sometimes I think they would just take over your place for the sake of it. You end up sitting on the floor because the cat is in the chair.” He said grinning, yeah he was a dog guy but then again he had no real dealings with cats for the most part. “Could you get someone to look in on it for you, I’m sure they would be okay for a few hours on their own.” Dorian said though she had a point.
He barely knew his work schedule given it relied heavily on everyone else doing what they were supposed to be doing. Work could always get extended and after that well he was hardly guaranteed to be home when he thought he might be. “A gerbil, i might have to do that not sure how he would fair in the back pack but I could see.” He said with a grin as he nodded, “Sure he could do that, it would need to be the fastest gerbil alive to keep up on the treadmill.” He joked grinning.
“Yeah that sounds just about perfect to me, I mean does this exist in here?” He asked grinning as he glanced around. A table for two or maybe three but that was in, a fold out bed that saved on space and a recliner did sound pretty good to him given his chair was. Well it was hardly much to should about recently.

"Oh, I'm sure they have something," Isla assured him, "I mean, they cater to college students and people setting up homes for the first time, so it's all about cheap but durable. She'd gone that route for her 'junior studio', forced by space -- or lack thereof -- to make the best of what she had, and budget had limited that even more. Still, she'd made the place pretty nice with a bed-over-desk arrangement. Now, though, it was time to move on and deal with a larger space. "Look...here's a space-saver." [imghttps://bredabeds.com/media/breda/pages/homepage/urb1-2.jpg[/img] "And the beauty of it is 'out of sight, out of mind', you just have to be sure all the tails are tucked away, and it's perfect! Unless..." She hesitated, then grinned. "Unless they make adult-sized Habitrails, then you and your gerbil can be twinsies! And I'm sure you and Pikachu won't mind checking in on Sylvester when I go on vacation!" Dorian Reese
