[attr="class","Ariatitle"] [attr="class","Aria"] [attr="class","Ariabox"]everything's made to be broken, i just want you to know who i am [attr="class","Ariamain"]
Aria let out a frustrated sigh as she kicked an empty soda bottle, watching as it rolled to the alley wall opposite of her. Aria wasn’t exactly the best at controlling her emotions, and was known to be rather short tempered because of it. So it wasn’t exactly surprising for her to be hanging in an empty alley, trying and failing to calm down and cool off.
The sixteen year old blamed Jax for this right now. Aria had been trying to lay low and stop helping the gang out. It worked sometimes, and she had cut back on helping them out, though not as much as she would like. Aria still hung out with them some, but she was starting to turn down offers of helping moving product or being a look out. However there was a job today that Aria had tried to turn down, but hadn’t been able to. It was supposed to be simple, and not go wrong. All Aria and a few others were going to do was meet up with a group of guys that was interested in buying some drugs from them. It was supposed to be a simple deal, get in and get out. Of course that didn’t happen and a fight had almost broken out. Luckily, the situation had been resolved and nobody was hurt.
After that incident, Aria had marched right up to Jax and given him a piece of her mind over the whole ordeal. They fought and Aria had warned him not to contact her unless she was desperately needed. Even then, Aria doubted she would answer after this mess. If she did answer, it would probably wouldn’t be for weeks. Which was a good thing in a way.
Shaking her head to get rid of those thoughts, Aria grabbed a nearby empty glass bottle and threw it at the wall, smiling a little when the bottle shattered. That had been a little more satisfying then Aria had expected it to be. However, it wasn’t enough because the sixteen year old was still angry. Looking around the alley, Aria spotted the lid to a trash can. Picking it up, she looked at it for a moment before throwing it at the wall too. It bounced off, leaving a scratch on wall, before falling to the ground.
Pushing off the wall she had been leaning against, the teen walked over to the wall and looked at the scratch. It was small, and probably wouldn’t be noticed unless someone was actively looking for it. Relaxing a little, Aria looked at the lid again. Throwing it had been satisfying, and it did help calm her down some. Biting her lip, Aria threw the lid at the pile of trash cans, watching as one of them fell over.
A part of Aria knew that this was wrong, and that she could probably get in trouble or be lectured about ‘respecting other people’s properties’, but right now the sixteen year old couldn’t bring herself to care. Sometimes there were more important things to deal with then a lecture or a slap on the wrists.

So far the afternoon had been fairly routine, the usual squabbles and misunderstandings, but at least for Kev, they had ended up in neighborhoods and among populations that he might not normally be around. And he'd had a good chance to see how silly people could be. Now, as it was getting later into the evening, they were looking for a place to grab a quick snack when they were flagged down by a man who was wearing a white coat, a chef, who was standing by an alley. "Officer! There's someone in the alley there, breaking things up!" He declared, and as if to punctuate his statement, there was a loud clattering from farther in the alley. "I'll take a look." Mattie nodded, then glanced at Kev as she moved to get out. "Just stay back, and duck if any shooting starts!" Grinning, she let Koda out, then started into the alley, the dog at her side, his tail wagging happily. When she spotted the girl, she stopped, hand hovering near her weapon. Sure, it looked like 'just' a kid, but you never knew these days. "Garbage can piss you off?" she asked, her tone light, she didn't want to cause animosity unnecessarily, she'd let the kid decide the course from here. Aria Campbell; Kev Allison

[googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] MIND YOUR MANNERS and tell the truth Kev was really enjoying his day so far, it wasnt the normal day and the fact he got to go out. Meet new people and go places he didnt know were there or existed. Sure it was like a back to school day that he couldnt have enjoyed anymore. Later in the evening seeing a guy flagging them down Kev had to wonder what was going on with the guy. Chef for sure or at least the way he was dressed, maybe he had a good place to eat he thought.
Someone breaking things, well that was going to be interesting he thought not sure what to make of it all. “Yeah I’ll duck.” Kev said grinning though the idea was great but he couldnt outrun a bullet so ducking was about all he could do. Then again knowing his luck he’d managed to get himself shot and land himself in a world of paperwork. Still it was call that could be interesting at the least.
Kev smiled and followed a little behind Mattie and Koda as he walked out to see the girl there. Just a kid well sure smashing things made sense when he was a kid, usually it was a vase or a plate when he played football in the house. Accidently knocked something over or he had managed to smash his brothers games controller once because his brother was being an idiot.
Smashing things helped with a lot of things, stress relief for one and sure he couldnt count the amount of times he wanted to smash things in life to feel better about it. Then again a kid of her age, Kev wasnt sure what she had to be wanted to smash things about. Though Kev just hovered a little not wanting to upset the girl or Mattie by saying something and setting things in motion.
Sure as a lawyer he knew he was liable for anything and everything regarding the day and making a situation worse wasnt on his to do list at least for now anyway. Kev was a hear both sides of the story guy and aim somewhere down the middle, chef guy said smashing and he saw a kid taking out frustration on a garbage can. It could have been a lot worse he thought though he just stood and smiled trying to not look like he didnt really belong there for the day.

[attr="class","Ariatitle"] [attr="class","Aria"] [attr="class","Ariabox"]everything's made to be broken, i just want you to know who i am [attr="class","Ariamain"] Aria was about to pick up the lid again when she heard footsteps. She didn’t think much of it at first, figuring it was probably some random person walking by and they would go away. Aria looked up however when the footsteps stopped near the alley, and froze when she saw Mattie and Kev. While Kev definitely didn’t have the appearance of being an officer, Mattie certainly did and the last thing Aria needed or wanted right now was to be brought to the station. She already had one run-in with the law that resulted in a trip to the station, and the sixteen year old really didn’t want that to be repeated. “Garbage can piss you off?”Aria shrugged, crossing her arms as she leaned against the wall behind her. “Yeah. It did. It was just standing there, acting like it owned the place” she responded sarcastically. She may have been talking about the garbage can, but Aria’s anger definitely wasn’t caused by the garbage can. It probably wasn’t the best idea to use sarcasm right now, but then again Aria didn’t always think through what she was saying. As a result, she often said the first thing that came to her mind. “Somebody needed to put the garbage can in its place” Aria finished, before returning her gaze to Mattie and Kev. “The question is though, why are you two here and why do you guys care? I’m not doing anything, and I’m definitely not hurting anyone” Aria asked, frowning as she took in Mattie and Kev’s appearances for the first time and tried to read their body language. Mattie definitely seemed a little more cautious then Kev, who seemed more relaxed. It was also evident that Mattie was in charge here, given that Kev appeared to be letting her handle this situation. Aria couldn’t tell much more other than that though. “And what’s with your partner there?” Aria asked, motioning to Kev. The question probably should’ve been worded a bit better, but Aria was genuinely curious. “He doesn’t look like a cop. He off duty or something?” The sixteen year old knew she was probably coming off as a bit rude or standoffish, but she was also still angry about what happened earlier and she was trying to change the subject and get the attention off of her. If Aria could do that then maybe she would be left alone and she could go back to doing what she was doing earlier before Mattie and Kev interrupted her. @mattiechapel, Kev Allison [attr="class","Ariabox2"]all this time i was finding myself, and i didn't know i was lost [newclass=".Ariatitle"]margin-top:20px;width:361px;text-align:left;font-size:39px;font-family:Montserrat;color:#A346FF;[/newclass] [newclass=".Aria"]padding-top:8px;margin-top:-20px;width:350px;height:515px;background-image:url('https://cdn.nickpic.host/images/pQY48G.jpg');border-left:5px solid #A346FF;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariabox"]width:315px;padding:10px;padding-top:0px;font-family:montserrat;color:#9B988E;font-size:9px;border-bottom:1px solid white;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariabox2"]margin-top:-5px;position:justify;width:315px;padding:10px;font-family:montserrat;color:#9B988E;font-size:9px;border-top:1px solid white;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariamain"]margin-top:10px;padding:15px;width:305px;background-color:white;height:414px;color:black;overflow:auto;font-size:10px;opacity:0;-webkit-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -moz-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -ms-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -o-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariamain:hover]opacity:.8;-webkit-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -moz-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -ms-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -o-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariamain b]color:#A346FF;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariamain::-webkit-scrollbar]width:3px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariamain::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#4646FF;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariacred]font-size:8px;letter-spacing:2px;[/newclass] [Googlefont="Montserrat"]

“Yeah. It did. It was just standing there, acting like it owned the place” The reply, while uncalled for, wasn't completely unexpected. A lot of kids didn't respect the uniform, especially when they were caught, well, pushing the limits of civility. But Mattie knew better than to react too hastily, no sense escalating something unnecessarily. "Oh, well, I can see how you thought that." “Somebody needed to put the garbage can in its place”At that, Mattie couldn't help but grin. The girl was relenting, and showing a good sense of humor. "Ah, well, you're right that count. Can't let it get away with anything, or it'll get cocky!" “The question is though, why are you two here and why do you guys care? I’m not doing anything, and I’m definitely not hurting anyone”Ah, there was that attitude again, hostile and challenging, and all the more reason for Mattie to stay open and friendly. She really didn't want to agitate the young woman, and there was no sense in making a bad experience. Mattie had no intention of detaining or citing her, and maybe this could be positive. "Kinda my job." Mattie shrugged. "Just heard the noise and wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. Besides, you've heard about quotas...and I need to take down another trash can to meet mine!" “And what’s with your partner there?” Aria asked, motioning to Kev. The question probably should’ve been worded a bit better, but Aria was genuinely curious. “He doesn’t look like a cop. He off duty or something?”"Oh, no, he's not a cop." With a grin, Mattie took a couple steps closer to the girl, although she was careful to keep her distance. Beside her, Koda scooted up as well, sort of keeping his butt on the ground so that he was maintaining a 'sit' position as he moved. "He's an attorney," she whispered, "but he's pretty okay. Likes camping and knows how to fish." She stepped back then, smiling. "I'm Mattie, this is Kev, and the pooch here is Koda. Would you like to join us for some coffee? I hear that trash-can slaying is a pretty exhausting business." She would understand if the girl balked at the offer, she might not want to be seen with a uniformed officer, or worse, an attorney! [googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] MIND YOUR MANNERS and tell the truth Kev grinned at the kids answer, well she had guts that was a sure thing. Kev couldnt imagine having attitude with a cop, mostly because he was a lawyer and any excuse given they would make his life a misery given the obvious. Then again he watched Mattie talk to the kid, deciding to leave it to the professional for a moment. It was clear that Aria was angry about something but Kev wasn’t a shrink and he certainly wasnt a cop which kind of made him a little bit of an odd fish in the situation.
Hearing the attitude and question of what they were doing there, ah there were about a few dozen laws the kid had broken. Wilful damage of property, city property for the garbage can, noise complaints, he could list the laws broken but then he wasnt sure that would be of much help right now. When Aria motion to him Kev just grinned and waved, “Yeah that’s me alright, I can fish, camp and be an attorney if needed. Multitasking every day.” He added not sure if the joke was great but then it couldnt really make thing worse right now.
“Oooh now there’s an offer, coffee from a cop... I might even get donuts too for the occasion?” Kev suggested, “But sure the attorney might even buy it, just so it doesn’t look like we’re bribing you to leave the trash can alone.” Well it wasnt like the can could fight back any, it was a pretty defenceless thing and sure Chicago, well like any city. Most trashcans took a regular beating in some way, either use, traffic, smashing them or a regular occurrence of burning things in them or themselves. Yes trash cans were a sturdy breed of fearless metal and plastic.
“So kid, since you know our names how about we get a first name from you?” Kev asked wanting to be friendly, “I can’t keep calling you kid or you’ll call me old.” He stated grinning trying to put her at ease though he wasnt too sure what was going on with her at all. Smashing things was fun and great at times but then usually there was a bigger reason behind it. Sure in his office a broken folder, kicked filing cabinet made for a bad court day but a trash can that was a new one to him so far.

[attr="class","Ariatitle"] [attr="class","Aria"] [attr="class","Ariabox"]everything's made to be broken, i just want you to know who i am [attr="class","Ariamain"] Aria hadn’t been expecting Mattie’s response, or her to be patient. Usually, when the sixteen year old snarked off to people they either walked away or got riled up. It didn’t happen every time, but it was definitely the response Aria was more used to. "Just heard the noise and wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.”Aria shrugged, something that she seemed to be doing a lot of lately. “Yeah, well. Nothing is wrong” she answered. Sure she was frustrated, but physically everything was fine. “So you two don’t have anything to worry about” She was unable to keep the surprise out of her face when Mattie mentioned Kev was an attorney. That was definitely something Aria hadn’t been expecting. “Yeah that’s me alright, I can fish, camp and be an attorney if needed. Multitasking every day.”“Really? Good for you then” Aria said, raising an eyebrow. She definitely should be more respectful given it would probably would’ve worked better in her favor. However, the snarky responses and attitude was more comfortable and natural for her. "I'm Mattie, this is Kev, and the pooch here is Koda. Would you like to join us for some coffee? I hear that trash-can slaying is a pretty exhausting business."Aria’s gaze softened a little when Mattie introduced Koda. The sixteen year old had a soft spot for animals. She definitely preferred them to people at times as they were easier to understand. As soon as Mattie asked Aria to join them for coffee, her head shot back up. She definitely hadn’t been expecting that offer. “Oooh now there’s an offer, coffee from a cop... I might even get donuts too for the occasion?”“Careful there Kev. Mattie might find that offensive and if she attacks you, I’ll claim that I didn’t see anything” Aria said, actually smiling a little. The offer of coffee and donuts did sound nice though. “But sure the attorney might even buy it, just so it doesn’t look like we’re bribing you to leave the trash can alone.”“I won’t tell anyone if you don’t” Aria offered before sighing. “I’m not in the mood for coffee, but I could go for a hot chocolate” “So kid, since you know our names how about we get a first name from you?” “I can’t keep calling you kid or you’ll call me old.” “I don’t know. You know the saying ‘if the shoe fits, wear it’. So if you’re old, you might as well embrace it” Aria said, smirking. "Aria..." Mattie smiled and nodded, opting against a 'Game of Thrones' comment, she was pretty sure that the girl had heard enough of those, and honestly, she wasn't exactly sure that was the right name anyway. And she didn't pursue a last name, she didn't care, she wasn't going to cite the kid since the sin was minor and in truth there were times that Mattie would have liked to beat the snot out of anything that got in her way! She laughed and shook her head. "When I was eleven something got me so mad....I grabbed some glasses and threw them in the street. It was so satisfying to watch them shatter into billions of bits! And then Mrs. Howe from next door came out and made me sweep it all up...that didn't help at all!" Glancing at Kev, she kidded, "And that confession is not admissible in court!" Then she gestured toward the street. "There's a deli just around the corner. Hot chocolate and anything you want." She grinned at Aria. "After all, he's paying!" [googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] MIND YOUR MANNERS and tell the truth Kev watched Aria, sure they had the world to worry about today and he had Mattie to worry about and now a kid who was kicking a rubbish bin. It wasnt exactly a regular day for him but then it wasnt exactly a bad idea, he could have kicked a lot of bins in his time. Still he had to wonder what Mattie would do with this, it wasnt his job to decide right and wrong and not when it came to the job of a cop but the kid was just that. A kid, sure he knew that kids weren’t innocent at times but then again he was that guy who asked the question.
Grinning Kev chuckled a little, Aria was a character that was for sure. “Thanks.” He said grinning, well he didnt want to annoy her anymore than she already was but her snarky responses seemed to be doing the job. Koda however seemed to win Aria over, maybe it was always that way. The dog seemed to win the hearts of the angry, Kev now wished he had one for court as well. If he had a trusted sidekick of the four legged variety maybe cases wouldnt go so badly wrong at times.
The offer, yeah it was nice and if it helped figure out what Aria was so riled up over. Then sure a coffee, cake, donuts, anything really was worth the answer to it. “Ah I see now who’s side you’re on. Who knew it could be so tough being the lawyer on the ride along.” He said with a sigh though he was still grinning at the idea. Kev glanced at Mattie as he raised his eyebrow at her, “You know as an officer of the court... I’d have to report it. Though I think you’re pretty much past the statute of limitations on that offence officer.” He teased grinning lightly.
“Did you hear that, hot chocolate and now I’m to embrace being old?” Kev said as he slammed his fist against his heart, “I think that could be the end of me.” He added being a little dramatic though old, yeah he wasnt old was he? Compared to Aria sure he was a dinosaur but he hadn’t crossed the line to old yet had he? “Nice to meet you Aria.” Kev said as he held out his hand to her, “Yup like the lady said, whatever you want from the coffee shops just ask.” Kev added not wanting her to feel like she couldnt get what she wanted. “It goes for you too Officer and Koda.” He added with a light grin.

[attr="class","Ariatitle"] [attr="class","Aria"] [attr="class","Ariabox"]everything's made to be broken, i just want you to know who i am [attr="class","Ariamain"] Aria smiled softly, watching the two banter. It was rather amusing to watch them interact. “I was hanging out with a friend one time when their little brother trekked mud into the house after their mother just cleaned up. She was not happy” she explained. “Ah I see now who’s side you’re on. Who knew it could be so tough being the lawyer on the ride along.” Aria shrugged, offering a small smirk. “I never said I was choosing sides. However, she has the ability to arrest me, so it’s probably best to stay on her good side” the sixteen year old pointed out. Though at this point, she wasn’t really concerned with being arrested. If Mattie wanted to bring her in to the station, then she probably would’ve done it by now. "There's a deli just around the corner. Hot chocolate and anything you want." "After all, he's paying!" “The Deli sounds good” Aria responded, shrugging. “Besides, I’m not about to turn down an offer of free food” Aria, like a lot of other people, liked free food. As a result, she wasn’t about to turn it down even if it did mean sitting down with an officer and an attorney. “Yep. You’re supposed to embrace being old. So might as well complain about the young people and talk about the old times” Aria jokingly replied. She had to admit, it was a little fun to mess with Kev. Especially because he played along a little. “I’ll probably just take a hot chocolate and a donut. Thanks” Aria said, offering the two a small smile. “The Deli sounds good” Aria responded, shrugging. “Besides, I’m not about to turn down an offer of free food”"Smart girl." Mattie grinned, rubbing Koda's head. "He agrees, too...not that he ever has to pay for his food." She leaned down and whispered in the dog's ear, "Ask for steak!" “Yep. You’re supposed to embrace being old. So might as well complain about the young people and talk about the old times”"At least he finally left behind the Old English so you can understand him!" Mattie laughed, the looked at Koda with a frown. "What was that? We're about the same age?" Glancing at Kev, she shrugged. "I take it back, thirty isn't so old!" Besides, that 'Don't trust anyone over thirty' stuff was the generation before theirs. “I’ll probably just take a hot chocolate and a donut. Thanks” Aria said, offering the two a small smile."Fair enough." Mattie nodded, "Coffee and and a scone for me, I think," she added as they got to the deli, where she stood back and waited for Kev to open the door for them. Yes, old-fashioned, but there still needed to be some artistry in the world, and simple acts of politeness was part of that. Once inside, she had Koda sit by the door, then asked the waitress if it was all right for the dog to be inside. Some places didn't mind, others preferred that Koda wait outside, and Mattie wasn't going to use her cop-dom to press the issue. When it was confirmed that it was all right, she found a table where the three of them could sit, then glanced at Aria. "I guess we can trust Kev to order for us, huh?" Kev Allison, Aria Campbell

[googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] MIND YOUR MANNERS and tell the truth Kev chuckled, mud in the house ouch that wasnt something his own mother would accept. There would have been a full scale response and likely a grounding after that. No wonder he’d turned into a lawyer he figured as he smiled listening to Aria and Mattie talk. “I can make a citizens arrest... maybe but yeah you’re a pretty smart kid huh. Took me a minute to learn to stay on her good side too.” He almost whispered as he grinned. Kev wasnt all fired to go arresting people, his idea of a arrest ended in court and an argument.
Outside of that he was just learning what happened in the day of a cop. A specific cop for that matter but still it wasnt like he knew the ins and outs of it all. “See I knew she was smart.” Kev added grinning at Mattie as Kev glanced to Koda, nope being a dog food was free if you had the right owner to look after you. “I have a feeling this might be an expensive day...” He said with a fake sigh as he grinned at the two of them. If it helped someone out any expense was worth it and besides they all had to eat at some point.
“Yeah... you know back in my day...” He started as he chuckled, “And young people these days, attacking bins in the spare time, what has the world come to. I’m just too old to understand. With these phones, and wireless headphones... how does the world work.” He teased grinning at Aria, so sure he was borderline with the age of trying to place a McDonalds order on a screen and waiting to talk to someone about it rather than use a screen. He was old school at times.
“Wait ladies, a guy offers you free reign on food and that is all you order?” He questioned looking at the two of them for a moment as he opened the door for them to head inside. “I mean seriously, order what you like. I might even blow the budget on hot chocolate and a sandwich.” He stated as he saw glanced around the place. Kev wasn’t against opening doors, he was old school with manners, pull a chair out for a lady to sit down, open a door, hold the door.
It might annoy others but it didnt cost much to be nice. Kev followed them to the table and pulled out the two chairs as he rolled his eyes. “So that was two spinach smoothies and a hot chocolate for me right?” He joked about the order as he went to the counter to make the correct one. He did add a few extras by way of biscuits and things to take away for later for the three of them. After all he wasnt such a monster to deny scones and chocolate.

[attr="class","Ariatitle"] [attr="class","Aria"] [attr="class","Ariabox"]everything's made to be broken, i just want you to know who i am [attr="class","Ariamain"] Aria smiled when Mattie called her smart, straightening up a little at the compliment. The smile only grew when Kev mentioned that he agreed with Mattie. “It’s not rocket science. Any sane person should want free food” "He agrees, too...not that he ever has to pay for his food."“Sometimes being a dog has its perks” Aria agreed, looking down at Koda. He was a rather adorable dog. “You can pretty much do anything, no matter how small, and win over everyone’s hearts” Hearing Kev complain about today’s technology caused Aria to laugh. It was rather amusing, and she didn’t mind that he was poking fun at her a little. Besides, Aria had been doing the same thing lately. “Hey, at least my generation doesn’t have to suffer through dial up internet, or carrying large boom boxes around” she pointed out. There were perks of being younger sometimes. Aria figured that Kev wouldn’t mind buying something larger if they wanted anything else, but the sixteen year old was fine with just a hot chocolate and a donut. She wasn’t that hungry right now anyways, so a small snack would work. “No, it’s okay. I’m good with just the hot chocolate and donut” “So that was two spinach smoothies and a hot chocolate for me right?”Aria snorted in amusement as she sat down. She looked at Mattie and then at Kev before responding “Oh so now your memory is failing too? Mattie, you might need to stop at the hospital after we finish here. Maybe get him checked out” She watched Kev walk to the counter to place their order before looking back at Mattie. There were a lot of questions that were running through her mind right now. “So,” Aria began, letting out a sigh. “How did you two end up meeting? Was it because of some case or trial or something?” Kev Allison, Mattie Chappel [attr="class","Ariabox2"]all this time i was finding myself, and i didn't know i was lost [newclass=".Ariatitle"]margin-top:20px;width:361px;text-align:left;font-size:39px;font-family:Montserrat;color:#A346FF;[/newclass] [newclass=".Aria"]padding-top:8px;margin-top:-20px;width:350px;height:515px;background-image:url('https://cdn.nickpic.host/images/pQY48G.jpg');border-left:5px solid #A346FF;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariabox"]width:315px;padding:10px;padding-top:0px;font-family:montserrat;color:#9B988E;font-size:9px;border-bottom:1px solid white;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariabox2"]margin-top:-5px;position:justify;width:315px;padding:10px;font-family:montserrat;color:#9B988E;font-size:9px;border-top:1px solid white;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariamain"]margin-top:10px;padding:15px;width:305px;background-color:white;height:414px;color:black;overflow:auto;font-size:10px;opacity:0;-webkit-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -moz-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -ms-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -o-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s;[/newclass] [newclass=".Ariamain:hover]opacity:.8;-webkit-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -moz-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -ms-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; -o-transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s; transition:height .5s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariamain b]color:#A346FF;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariamain::-webkit-scrollbar]width:3px;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariamain::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#4646FF;[/newclass] [newclass=.Ariacred]font-size:8px;letter-spacing:2px;[/newclass] [Googlefont="Montserrat"]

"Honestly, I don't think there are any scans in the world that would find what's wrong with him," Mattie chuckled, "I mean, holding doors, buying food, hooking up with a cop-lady and her mutt..." Were they 'hooked-up'? Mattie liked the idea! "Oh, and by the way, dogs aren't quite as charming when they widdle on the carpet!" This was an aspect of her job that Mattie really liked -- the chance to just talk to people who would likely look at you like you were crazy and run away if you approached them out of the blue in civvies. Of course, a lot of times the uniform put people off and they wouldn't even look at you as a person with thoughts and feelings and problems. “So,” Aria began, letting out a sigh. “How did you two end up meeting? Was it because of some case or trial or something?”"Well..." Mattie laughed. "Well, it was over coffee and bagels, actually." Funny how life worked sometimes. "We were both getting off work late one night and ended up in the same place, we started talking and..is it that obvious?" Mattie's eyes widened as she glanced toward Kev, then quickly covered her embarrassing question. "Anyway, Koda and I had an event the next day and we asked Kev to watch, then we had a picnic..." She wouldn't get into the part about two kids nearly drowning. Leaning forward, she whispered with a grin, "I just figured it wouldn't hurt to have an insider on my side if Koda ever had to go to court for chomping on a bad guy!" Aria Campbell , Kev Allison [/i]

[googlefont="Oswald"][googlefont="Allura"][googlefont="Abel"] MIND YOUR MANNERS and tell the truth Kev grinned and shook his head, “You’d think so but not everyone does. So you’re the smart cookie today, you should be proud of that.” Kev added, he had been surprised a few times when he had offered something for it to be turned down. The guy that looked like he could use a coffee or just a break in life, the woman at the store that had to put something back because she couldn’t afford it all. When he offered to pay it was two reactions, insanity or that there was some sort of catch attached to it. There wasnt it was just an act of kindness he tried to do every so often.
Still accepting free food was a smart choice. “Hey that wasn’t suffering... dialup was cool and you always knew when you needed to make a call of someone was overstaying their internet time.” Kev explained laughing, “And who can beat a boom box, string vest and baseball cap at the beach... pretty much the coolest guy on the block.” Or the one who’d get arrested first but still there was a time and a place and growing up with things getting smaller and music pods that could fit in your hand... he was starting to sound too old for his own good.
Kev rolled his eyes and laughed at the mention of the scan, “Hey I’m perfect just the way I am... ask anyone over the age of sixty. No scans needed.” Kev teased as he went to get their things, he got their orders. The donuts, coffee, hot chocolate and he added a few extra’s in there too to take away. Extra donuts, a couple of tray bakes and a muffin. Gathering the things from the counter he heard that their drinks would be there soon as he brought it to the table.
“Here we go, take your pick.” Kev said as he set everything out, “I promise my memory didnt fail with the drinks they are on their way.” He added grinning as he heard Mattie talk about Koda and the picnic. That had been an interesting adventure of a day he thought as he decided to go back to the counter for the drinks. It made it easier than the waitress bringing them over and gave Aria and Mattie chance to talk a little more.
