E rin set her badge down in the office. For now her leave was temporary, though she’d not told Jay yet about her leave from the PD. It was more for the fact that she wanted him to find out about things in a different way. Modified duty, sure she could have done that but being kept in the office all day would have made her go stir crazy. Not to mention there was a lot to do at the house and she was feeling sick lately. She sighed and closed the door to Hank’s office behind her. He would find it all when she came back. Hank already knew about the situation because she had been taken out of the field already. To be fair, Erin wasn’t sure if Jay was going to kill her or not. Erin loved her job and she would likely return but the in between time that she was taking off she knew was going to hit them financially and she wasn’t sure how long they could sustain that. They hadn’t discussed it but she’d made her decision anyway. Maybe she could appeal to his protective side. Right that might be her best shot at breaking this to Jay. She was still trying to figure out what she was going to say. @jayhalstead

Something was up with Erin, but he wasn't sure what. She had been quiet. And he could readily admit that he was worried. Erin wasn't the type to be quiet. At least....not this quiet. Hope everything's okay with her, he worried. Maybe he should talk to her. Yeah, that sounded good.

He glanced at her and then bit his lip. Would he be intruding on something? He didn't want to be one of those guys that demanded to know every little thing about his girlfriend, but on the other hand, he was worried about her. How could he approach her in a way that conveyed that without making her think that he was trying to smother her?
