Hank glanced at Erin, since when was he stopping her from doing her job. “It’s all I’m asking Erin because I am not losing you and this case seems to be cursed.” Hank stated before he decided to reason out his point. “Any officer that goes to do this will wear a vest, it’s none negotiable so you do too. It’s not more than what I’d ask of my team.” So sure the bomb suit was a lot more but then again he wasnt married to his unit. Hank couldnt get away from the serious note that had been put into play.
The minute her fork went down the facial expression changed he knew it wasnt time for joking. “I will make sure that house is clear first and it won’t go on a technicality because you’re the lawyer that fixes everything for us. So we do this by the book and we’re golden. Trust me, it will be better than it was first time around.” Hank said trying to be positive though he wanted to kill Kev none the less. Much better he was in the firing line than his wife.
Lawyers he thought, they argued it was their thing though he knew Erin wouldnt just argue with him for the sake of it. He smiled when he felt her kiss the top of his head. Hank simply sighed as he felt her fingers run along the back of his neck. He didnt want to argue with her over it he simply wanted her to be safe and if that meant arguing he would do it in a heart beat.
“I know you do but I want you to come home to your family Erin. Putting you in danger isn’t sitting well with me at all.” Hank said knowing it was his fault that this was happening in the first place. Maybe there was a good reason for by the book. “Just promise me you’ll not do anything stupid, take a risk, promise me you’ll stay alive and stick by me and behind me.” Hank asked her knowing she couldnt promise everything but staying alive. No she could promise him that one he figured.

Erin Reagan Voight
Sometimes her husband could be a bit superstitious. “I’m not debating the vest. I never did.” Erin had no idea why he was trying to argue a point that she agreed on. “I have the best Sergeant in Chicago to watch my back. Hank, trust me I know this isn’t a walk in the park. I’m simply going to observe, nothing more.” Sometimes her husband could be a lunatic. Well, technically she was pretty sure he could classify as crazed on some days of the week.
Erin trusted her husband to mean the things he said and say the stuff he means to say. She was still trying to figure out why he was arguing with her. They were both on similar sides of the fence. Sighing she leaned into his forehead with her lips just keeping her eyes turned just above his head and out the window. It was a way to keep him from looking her in the eyes as her hands continued the back of his neck.
“I’m not on training wheels darling. I know how these things run. I’m not about to play cop, that’s your job.” Erin moved her lips from his forehead so that she could look him in the eyes. “Stop arguing for the sake of arguing. We are both on the same page.” Erin glanced at the clock, debating if they needed to get moving or if she had time to make him forget they were arguing. Her eyes turned attention to her husband and she sighed. “Shall we?”

Hank believed in a lot of things and curses were one of those things. He was that bad things happen in three’s sort too but he wasnt going to bring that up at all. Hank tried to smile when she spoke about the best Sergeant in Chicago, he wished he was but all he wanted to do was guarantee her safety. “First time I’ve heard a lawyer say that one.” He teased trying to smirk but he was glad to hear it. “Can’t have your prints getting anywhere but your jacket pocket and I’ll watch your back. Just trust me to do that.” Hank said knowing he had her trust but then sure he was about to go off the deep end with trusting.
He wasnt always too great in realising when people weren’t arguing with him, the fact that Erin was there as a lawyer to didnt exactly help. Lawyers were paid to argue, hell he had screamed at Kev enough times in his office to realise that. He just usually hated when the man yelled back at him like he was stupid or not a lawyer. Erin really couldnt have assigned someone he could have intimidated into getting warrants when he needed them? It was all but forgotten when she leaned into his forehead but kept her eyes away from his.
“I know you know that but Erin you’re a Reagan, they do that you know. I just want you to be safe, I hate taking risks with you and the fact that you’re here.” Hank didnt even want to think of what might happen at that raid, the ten thousand things that could go wrong just as a cop was bad enough. “Fine I will stop arguing if you do too.” He said though being on the same page, well that worked for him if it meant that she would wear a vest. Hank grumbled when Erin glanced at the clock, five, ten or fifteen more minute he almost whined though sure he had a job to get to.
“We shall.” Hank said as he stood up from his chair and leaned down to kiss Erin for a moment. “I’m getting dinner tonight for us so after this, you just relax and go home.” He said hoping she would though if there was anything to worry about it was his idea of getting dinner. Well he had managed to cook for Erin before and she lived so his usual dishes had to work at some point. “Ladies first.” Hank said as he stood back a moment before he opened the office door for her.
