FRIENDS
Noah has limited time in his life so friends are a tricky thing to fit into his schedule. The friends he currently has that would need filling out with real played characters would include: colleagues at the hospital, the basketball team he plays with (most of the players are wheelchair bound as it is for wheelchair users but a few, like Noah, play in the chairs but don't need them physically), and anyone he knows at the university where he guest lectures. Opportunities for him to make new friends would include in his apartment block where he lives, in the local parks where he runs, the coffee shop that he stops into to and from the hospital when working, and at the hospital and university themselves.
Someone who's going to be Noah's friend would need to be very patient and understanding. He has very little time and isn't the best with his phone and technology when he does have some spare minutes do you won't get replies to your texts and he most certainly doesn't instant messenger in any way shape of form. He's also not one to go out drinking, clubbing or partying. He'll happily go for a drink in an old pub after a long shift but people don't tend to invite him because they think he won't be interested. This leads onto the second characteristic that his friends would need - perseverance and a certain amount of out-going to their personality. Noah will not make the first move and he won't chase someone to be his friend. In that sense, on a personal level, Noah is actually quite shy and modest. People expect him to be high and mighty when in fact he just doesn't know how to approach people in a casual way that won't affect his working relationship with them.
Noah really needs some friends. While he doesn't feel isolated or lonely as he never has the time to sit down and truly consider whether he actually is lonely, if he ever did, he would probably discover just how few numbers he has in his phone and how few people he has that care about him as a person in his life. The poor guy desperately needs some friends in his life to make him realize that it's okay to be selfish and enjoy your own life as well as contribute something meaningful with it.
ENEMIES
It sounds arrogant to say, but Noah is likely to cause some jealousy. He's a tall, good looking guy who is a heart surgeon and saves the lives of children. The fact that he doesn't notice the female gender at all, doesn't stop him being catnip to those that are interested in the male hero archetype. As such, some guys don't like Noah very much - seeing him as a "has it all" sort of person. The fact that he has worked stupidly hard to get where he is today, just seems to annoy people more, because they can't say that he just got it handed to him or he doesn't deserve it.
On top of this, Noah has a strong moral sense of justice. He doesn't suffer fools and he doesn't suffer the lazy - especially in the medical field which he considers to be the purest and most noble of occupations. As such, he can come across rather harsh and arrogant if he's not careful. He's not the greatest people person at the best of times and if you catch him at the end of a double twelve hour shift his social graces are completely non-existent. As such, it's very easy for him to accidentally offend someone or piss them off.
LOVERS
What is this romance of which you speak? Romance and a proper relationship would take up time that Noah simply doesn't have at the moment. He barely has enough time to sleep in his bed let alone to anything else in it, and an actual date would require him to leave the hospital or university at some point.
Any girl who is interested in testing the romantic waters with Noah would have to be seriously persistent, understanding and forgiving. The fact that every time he cancels, it will be for a good reason, is a fine excuse the first few times but it's likely that this will grate on any long-term arrangement and lead to the termination of said arrangement fairly quickly.
In terms of past relationships, Noah has had several short-lived romances in Dallas and in Chicago but they have always ended with the girl saying things like "I don't feel I'm in a relationship anymore" or "you don't spend enough time with me, or enough time with us together as a couple." We can arrange a past relationships to rear its head at some point.
With regards to a "final" for Noah. I'm open to a final coming on the scene but I'm eager for a slow-burner. A little-sister-esque or best friend relationship that turns to romance, or an unrequited love that gradually becomes mutual. Any slow burn plot-line is interesting to me so just throw them my way.
FAMILY
Noah's only living family member is his mother who is currently 76 and living comfortably with a live-in daily nurse that Noah pays for. His biological mother gave him up for adoption when she was sixteen so she would be 48 currently. His biological father is currently unknown to him. I'm open to any plot regarding either of these but it would need to be an on-going one, not a one-hit wonder for that. He has no other family though so these are the only opportunities for plots in this category.
PATIENTS
Noah has operated on and saved the lives of many people in his career as a heart surgeon. If anyone would like to start up some kind of plot with him having been a patient of his, or having been the doctor that Noah was a patient of when he was young, I'm more than open to this idea.
