Wallace didnt want to think about the list of injuries she could have from walking off the roof, it was bad enough when they were working but this after they all had specific orders to stay inside unless required to go out. He didnt need another fire fighter lost off duty to a gang war or anything else. Boden stood and tried to help as he heard the arguing between Chloe and Steph, what a day of Hudson not to be there though Chloe was just as good it was Steph who had the trust factor.
Wasnt it bad enough that she had walked off the roof as he listened to Ben try to calm her down, it was a little like a headache waiting to happen as there were a few things he wanted to say but the first official thing was to get her to see Brittany Severide for some help. “Yes of course, just let me know what you need me to do.” He said to Chloe wanting them to get back inside as soon as possible just so he could keep the people in his house safe from what was out there.
“Yes on it.” He said as he made sure the backboard was in place for Chloe and Steph, if the medic said for Steph not to get off of it until the doctor clears her then that was the rule. Boden glanced at Steph for a moment when she argued about not knowing how she got there. “Stephanie trust that we all know how you got here. We’ll sort this out but not right now, the most important thing is you right now.” He said knowing he would have a chat with her later but there was no use in that if she was too injured to do that .
“Taylor’s right, we wont let anything happen to you two so let’s just do this. You’re safe we just need to get back inside where the light is better.” He said not wanting to mention where the walls were better for protecting from bullets too. Wallace was impressed as Chloe explained exactly what had happened from her view of things and the fact she seemed to be reasoning with the patient somewhat too. If Ben did a few things on her behalf it was likely to work though honestly to him it showed the competence of the people he worked with.
Wallace waited to see what he would need to do with the board as it depended on Stephanie and Ben. So long as Steph was alright to be carried inside and Chloe and Ben were alright with it, he was all for it. Keep the house safe enough from the outside though he knew he now had a problem with what was going on for Steph thought that was for another time. Right now it was the hospital run in the middle of the night he was concerned with.

Stephanie’s husband was the single most irritating person on the planet. She steadied herself on Ben’s shoulder making it a point that she was going to stand under her own willpower. Stephanie was not easily persuaded to lay down and do anything. The woman was very stubborn. She relaxed into Ben’s touch though. Stephanie trusted him.
When Chloe mentioned talking Ben through it she nodded. Stephanie had this thing about being touched by someone she didn’t know or trust. She seemed to staying close to Ben. Yeah she knew Chloe but she didn’t know her in a sense that she knew her well enough to trust her. “You are the blonde, I tied some jerk to a fire truck.” She wasn’t too sure if Ben or the chief knew about it but it was out now. Stephanie was putting who was who together. It was up to Ben though if he would pick her up. Stephanie wrapped her arms around his neck. That she could do. It was better not to touch Stephanie; she wasn’t even sure where she was right now.
It was three against one, Stephanie knew there was no reasoning with Ben and the chief and so she just nodded but was still trying to sort her head. She started mumbling something in Bulgarian. The same thing she always mumbled when she was coming out of one of her flashbacks. Stephanie’s heart was racing and she looked like she had seen a ghost. Any other time, and she would have pulled a full on fight with Ben. She could sense the little bit of tension in the air. She tried to focus on something else. The dalmation that Brittany had brought up to the firestation a few months back came over and started sniffing at Stephanie’s shoe and whimpering.
“My point is, I feel okay.” Stephanie informed Ben, when he mentioned that this wasn’t fine. The two had very different meanings of the word, she set her sore ankle on the ground and seethed. Quickly taking her weight off she really didn’t want to be picked up but she would not fight Ben on this.

Ben listened to Chloe explaining what had happened; Stephanie had walked off the roof. If she thought he was a pain in the backside before then now he was going to be a serious issue. He knew that Stephanie had her own demons but never had he thought it would ever result in her walking off a roof as he was thankful it was only a broken ankle. He never wanted to think of the worse things that came with walking off a building, first thing he was going to see Brittany or dragging Stephanie with him. He could already hear the fight in his head but that was likely for later when the worry left and the arguing imploded. It was their thing as much as he disliked arguing it seemed to work for them or at least it was what they did when the stress came around or the worry and fear of the might haves. With Chloe mentioning that he could carry her he nodded, he would do but then he knew what he would get for that. He wanted her to do it herself but not at the expense of causing her pain or hurting her anymore. Ben felt Stephanie steady herself on his shoulder as he fought the urge to just pick her up then and there. At the mention of tying people to a fire truck he had heard the rumour of some fire-fighter doing that but never had it occurred to him that it was Stephanie. “Wait, what are you trying people to fire trucks for?” He asked wondering if this had been another incident or if he was missing an entire story. It was one of those things you heard about but barely knew anything off as he had been off that day, the things he missed on a day off he thought. He was about to start his usual ten questions when he heard the mumbled Bulgarian, he knew little of the language or what it meant just that it was to do with her flashbacks as he hushed her lightly. “It’s okay Steph, you’re at the fire house.” He said not sure it if would help as he remembered to rub her back lightly. Ben tried not to roll his eyes as Stephanie said she felt okay, they always did have varying definitions of fine but the minute she seethed it was game over as he snaked an arm under her legs and lifted her off the ground. “You’d be the only one right now.” He replied as he held her tightly making sure not to move her too much. “Okay Chloe, Chief where do you want her to be?” He asked looking between them both. “Chloe you’re not a chicken, you did the right thing so thank you.” He said meaning every word of it. Had she chosen to follow Stephanie he could never be sure but Chloe had said it herself that it was likely to end badly for those involved. @hcassell9978, Stephanie Taylor, Wallace Boden,
