While she's usually upbeat and happy when heading into work, something about today is different. She's been in a bad mood for the past couple days since saying goodbye at firehouse 51, rumor has it that they have gotten in an ambulance with a new PIC that hasn't even been working for CFD for two weeks and her partner is a transfer from another station. She eyes the place warily as she walks through the front door, she worked a couple shifts here before when she was new and trying to find a permanent place to land and it wasn't a bad place...it just wasn't home. That's what sucks so bad about all of this, she thought that she had found a permanent place to land and she liked it. CFD had kept things very quiet and under wraps and hadn't given her much notice, about an hour before the end of her last shift at 51, when they told her that effective next shift she would be out of 23. The rest of that shift had gone by in a fog and she really hadn't paid much attention to whether or not there had been any other changes.
Sylvie walks into the locker room at firehouse 23 and tosses her bag on the bench and sits next to it with a sigh; she misses all of her friends at 51 but at least she still has a job, that's what she's been telling herself since she found out about the transfer anyway. Picking out a locker with no name on it, she peels off some tape, writes her name on it, and starts unloading her belongings onto the shelf. She's at least an hour early for her shift, but she wants to take her time and get things straight and make sure everything is right for her first day. Looking at the other names on the lockers, she's trying to see if she remembers anyone else here.
